  1. Explorer, the landlord specifically told me they do not like cameras, scopes or anything you put up to your face. Yes they did later directly communicate with me, but I will wait and maybe share that in the paranormal section at another time. I went into that area thinking I was dealing with just a dumb animal to be baited, pursued and manipulated like the opinions that many folks and organizations hold to. I can understand that because that's pretty much how I felt up until that time. After that incredible once in a lifetime experience, I personally witnessed and learned these subjects are very much like us-far beyond the levels of any animal-yet very, very different from us in awareness and abilities. In the end, I have more questions than answers and that list keeps growing with time LOL!!

  2. I'll second what 7.62 just said. It's not another hunting object fallen prey to the the high-powered rifle. You're not going to skin it and put it in front of the fireplace or on the wall. Nor will you have the local taxidermist do a head or shoulder mount. How anyone could look at another human or near-human and pull the trigger is beyond me. Those who can either have something I don't or lack something I do.

  3. I have to disagree with your assessment of the PNW. It is becoming less and and less accessible. The Forest Service is systematically not maintaining and blocking off forest roads.. At one time they were content to just gate them but now they dig moat like ditches and drag in huge boulders to prevent any vehicle traffic. Getting even a mountain bike past the moats takes some doing. The blocked logging roads are gradually are becoming overgrown due to lack of traffic. Soon many will not even allow foot traffic. Some still open and not blocked or gated, have large washouts, and are to the point where a 4 wheel drive vehicle can barely traverse them because they are not maintained. If a bridge washes out, they are rarely replaced. Then there is the proliferation of wilderness areas. Many new ones in the last few years. Vehicles are prohibited in these areas. So lack of logging in National forests is severely limiting access for every one else. Some areas I would love to get into are now so remote, because of lack of road access, I have no idea how to get there without 20 mile trek off trail from the nearest road that might be closed too.

  4. The only thing that keeps me interested now, after years of study, is some of the wilderness in the Pacific NW that is untouched by human encroachment. It's shrinking every year though. There are very few such tracts of land in the East, West Virginia gives a slight glimmer of hope and that's where we focus, but I'm not optimistic about it.

  5. Occam's razor is the idea that the simplest explanation of a phenomena is usually the correct one. The simplest explanation Is that Bigfoot is flesh and blood and an animal. No telepathy, interdimensional UFO traveling aliens, Etc.

  6. BF may have a fascination with coolers as has often been reported, but I sure would not want them getting into a cooler where I keep my food. Who knows what pathogens they have on their hands that they would spread by handling food meant for human consumption? Pathogens they are basically immune to that could quickly kill a human. If they scavenge at all, the pathogens would be even worse. The cooler thing might be a way to get a picture. There are pin hole cameras that could be installed in the lids of coolers that turn on when the lid is open.
