  1. Yeah, well, American Indians like stories, it was all the entertainment we had for a long time, so don't go trying to look for proof of Bigfoot in them. Most of these stories are just that, stories. That doesn't mean ignore them, just remember it's often hard to tell where truth ends and myth begins. When it comes to Bigfoot, Indians of the past had virtually the same experience people do today, quick fleeting glimpses of a strange creature and the people try to figure out just what in the heck it is. Here's a link to a site about some of these stories. http://www.native-languages.org/monsters.htm

  2. They clearly are omnivorous. They would have to be of that size and energy level. Plus there are ample credible reports of them killing deer and hogs. There is also a great report from out west (Colorado I think) from years ago of two of them operating as a team where one was a beater pushing deer or elk to a BF waiting in ambush. I would think if you out a human mind in a BF body as a minimum there would be significant evidence of tools or use of fire other than the occasional rock. Speaking of tools. I have a walkway stone that was irregularly shaped but roughly 2ft square that was taken from my back yard over to an old playground beside my house that has been reclaimed by woods and chipped down to a diamond with a real sharp end. You can tell whoever did this took a block off of a retaining wall in the playground to work the stone in to what would be a tremendous weapon in the hands of someone about twice my size and weight. I can hold it in my hand but it is a stretch to get my fingers around it and too heavy for me to use it effectively in a fight. I have always wondered if this was done by a BF. I live out in the country surrounded by wet lands and lakes and I know BFs come through on rare occasion on hunting expeditions. One of these days I will post a picture of it in a separate post.

  3. Hmmm. There's a whole book on Sasquatch tool use (Sasquatch Tool Use, by David Claerr, https://www.amazon.com/Sasquatch-Tool-Use-David-Claerr/dp/1518730795). Has this book been discussed here? (Looks like jayjeti mentioned it once in the thread "What About the Bones", but I don't see any other references to it.) And here's a report about a BF that apparently used a sharpened stick to kill a deer and a sharp stone to skin it (or dig something out of it; the stone was found in the hide): https://sasquatchchronicles.com/bigfoot-and-hunting-tools/ And in the comments under that story is a comment on Sasquatch Tool Use: "They evidently breed them smart down in Texas. Here’s a book review of “Sasquatch Tool Use,” by David Claerr who discovered a flint core that sasquatches have been chipping off of to make stone cutting tools and hand axes, and he found markings on bones that matched up to those tools. The hand axe was used to help split open bones to reach the marrow.....Here is the book reivew: http://sasquatchresearchers.org/blogs/bigfootjunction/2015/02/11/book-review-of-sasquatch-tool-use/"

  4. They actually do borrow tools from us. And use them. Here's a wonderful mid-1800's report about the Wild Woman of Navidad from The Legends of Texas: Lost Mines and Buried Treasure, by Ann B. Dobie. (I think Ann's father was the one who collected the account originally.) The story is long, so I had to leave out a lot of it; but this BF individual entered homes; took food, but only half of what was there; and not only borrowed tools, but returned them all polished up. And there are other, more recent accounts. I'll try to find some for you. (P.S. If you click this image, it will increase in size and be easier to read.)

  6. Yeah that window thing is creepy. I have one small window behind the toilet in the hall bathroom that I always keep locked and blinds closed, its on the side of the house with many miles of forest lol. I think that may be a hold-over from the old "Boggy Creek" scene. I think that scene stuck with everyone to a degree. Did anyone catch MM's claim on Finding Bigfoot that most all of the cases he had investigated regarding Sasquatch looking through windows or attempting entry had one thing in common....taxidermy on the walls..Deer, Elk etc. ? Not to derail the thread..but seriously, what a claim to make. I chuckled at that when he said it on the show. Adults rarely believe kids when they say they see things at night. I recall sleeping downstairs in midsummer at my grandparents home, here on the ranch. It was hot but very dry so no mosquitoes where being a bother, and my grandmother opened the window to my room, no screen. In the middle of the night I got up to go to the bathroom, when I came back to bed I just sort of laid looking around the room. I glanced down toward the window at the foot of the bed and slowly, through the gloom I, terrified observed this huge black head entering the room; I could see the mouth first, then the rest followed. I was about 9 years old and I yelped at the site of it. The head moved like molasses in January and turned my way, the two huge, dark eyes boring into my soul. It was a mule. I got out of bed, spent some time petting it then watched it cruise on out of the yard and into the night. The next morning, while grandmother cooked eggs, toast and basically a small pig for the family I told my grandfather about it, he laughed and told me that I needed to "Stop telling stories or all of my babies would be born naked someday" I was angry and swore up and down it was the truth. Later that day we where out in the yard sitting on the swing shelling peas when the neighbor at the next farmstead drove across the noisy cattleguad and stopped in the driveway. He got out of the old Jeep Honcho pickup truck he had and informed my grandparent that he was out looking for his mule that had wandered through a gate that was accidentally left open.
