  1. Peter has not had a sighting. He has said that many times without a hint of regret. My opinion is he thinks some people lucky, some not. I have great respect for Mr. Byrne in many ways. He husbanded the monies granted to him to search, research, and take copious notes. He seems not a wealthy man, in money. from his decades of walking the hills. He lives in a modest house and seems to live a modest life. He is very loyal. He suffers fools badly, there being a huge difference to him between those truly trying to learn and those who gather a sack of foolery. I first met Peter at a field gathering of the Western Bigfoot Society in about 1999. In the many times I've heard him present, I have never heard him "preach." Yet, he continues to research, to search. Peter has not given up; he is one of the core, the foundation stones of modern research. He and Hal, his current associate of many years, still set game cams and walk the timber and mountains of coastal northwest Oregon. Like prospectors, I believe he will never give up the search. Joe Beelart here, near Portland, Oregon {Just for the record, I am not a "follower" of PB. Rather, I learn from him and form my own opinions. One instance: It is my thinking that PB considers Bigfoot near extinction and is rare east of the PNW. I think they are "numerous" in many parts of the country. Also, I have thought through a method, both through thought and field work, to entice the beings in at night; it seems PB only used the method one night; and, got results. But, he does not encourage or clearly describe the method. I'd rather not discuss the method now; maybe under another tab.}

  2. I think the database was public long before FB TV show. There has always been access to that database by BFRO members as one of the perks of doing the footwork of investigations and such. There has always been the suggestion that juicy reports were culled for BFRO use only and not for listing on the public database. Since this is the OLYMPIC thread I will just choose to say that if you can't do a timely investigation then the effort is moot really except for historical purposes of documenting habitat and patterns in the geography and such. Never been a BFRO member and never invited but have had success in the southeast with conscientious investigators taking an interest in the area I was investigating back in the pre-2010 days. This was also nonpublic investigation however. Many reasons for that which I choose not to go into on the forum. Time is money and I suppose alot of these organizations staffed with volunteers don't have independently wealthy people able to move on the drop of a hat which is one reason Oly Project seems to be deferring the public expedition part of things so they can strike while the iron is hot as explained by them. Maybe when some of these philanthropists leave the space shots for the big hairy elder brother we may have something, maybe not.

  3. From a skeptic’s POV this thread just became great again A seeker, a knower, a hunter and an alien enthusiast advocate... All working with and against each other... To find an imaginary creature. Good work boys

  4. If the BFRO had any integrity then they would simply hand what they have to BobbyO and let him manage the data base. It is quite apparent that no one there is doing much. He has a data base not a secret information mine for BFRO members. It is telling to me that Thom Powell was thrown out for heresy. The organization is run more like a religious cult with dogma that requires major tithing contributions to be a member than a scientific investigation organization.

  6. As I recall the description of the nesting are given in presentations by the Olympic Project, it is on a hillside overlooking an active Steelhead stream. If not Steelhead then Salmon. They envisioned BF nesting there during the run and harvesting the fish. . Steelhead and Salmon runs are very seasonal and limited to a few weeks. BF could bed down at night or stash juveniles in the nests during the day while the adults harvest fish. The seasonality of certain food items in certain areas has to be the primary driving force behind movements of any hunter gatherer like BF. We have lots of evidence BF is a hunter gatherer but none that they are into food cultivation. Of course I have to admit that BF seems to have ties to herds of elk. While unlikely, it is not impossible, that BF may have associations with elk in the way that Siberian First Peoples have with reindeer and American plains Indians had with buffalo. Both followed the herds and harvested for their subsistence. Does BF follow the elk herd migrations? If BF is a hunter gatherer, rather than try to determine their behavior from abstract witness reports, perhaps we need to look to human hunter gathering behaviors and try to determine similar patterns in BF behavior. There has to be many similarities with a sentient bipedal hunter gatherer. .
