  1. More likely, given the behavior you've shown here, they simply say what you want to hear so they don't face your ridicule. MIB

  2. I see that the old thread on this subject has been locked, probably because I've been lazy about posting to it in over a year, so here we go with a new one. Please feel free to tell us about any outings that you make, whether for serious research, or just to get out there and enjoy nature's beauty. You don't have to give specific locations, but a general idea of the place would be nice, and pictures even better. I'll kick it off with my group's most recent one, today, Sunday, July 15th. Our usual small group of 4 has made a number of trips into the field in the past year, some to investigate sightings, and others to look for evidence, and today's was a combination of both. Our first objective was to visit the scene of a sighting that was just recently reported to Thomas by an acquaintance of his from the Harrison Lake region. Unfortunately, it occurred about a year ago, so there was no expectation of finding any hard evidence, but we did want to check out the site to get a feel for the story. The witness had been canoeing on a small lake about 5km north of Hwy 7, between Mission and Hope, and reported seeing a large dark figure cross a rocky area at the north end of the lake. That was all we knew of the event as we drove to that lake today. We stopped along the west shore of the lake, to look north for the rocky area he had mentioned. There are a couple of rock outcrops on the east shore, accessible only by canoe, and another exposed rockface higher on the steep slope on the north end of the lake, beyond the marshy shore there. We continued along the logging road on the west side, and a few hundred meters past the marsh, found a deactivated road, blocked by large boulders, heading east across the rise at the end of the lake. Thomas and I parked, and hiked in on that trail, soon finding ourselves crossing the base of the rockface that is visible from the lake. We came to the conclusion that the witness had probably seen someone/something walking the same path we were on. Thomas plans to contact the witness again, to confirm that we were in the spot where he saw the figure, so this is still inconclusive. After heading back to the highway for lunch, the others headed home, but I wanted to check out an area I hadn't been able to access for about 3 years, due to a locked gate at the branch I wanted to explore. Today the gate was open, with a warning that it is an active logging block, and the gate is locked at sunset. I still had lots of time, so I proceeded to the end of both the north and south branches of the roads along the large creek valley. There is plenty of good habitat in this valley, though the fact that it is currently being logged has likely spooked most wildlife deep into the forests. I'll definitely come back here a year or two after the loggers are done, and see what sign can be found in there. Some pics of the top end of the side valley, taken from the active cutting site:

  3. I have spoken with people of the Chehalis, Makah, Quinault, Skokomish and Nisqually tribes that actively live on reservation. The majority of the folks I spoke with on the topic fully believe that the sasquatch or otterman is a very real creature and that it simply wants to be left alone. A few of the people even went on to say that they knew where Sasquatch spend certain times of the year, when I looked at the report history for these areas I found that the information indeed supported their statements. Neat thread by the way.

  4. As I've mentioned, I've talked to a multitude of Natives...who claim to have actually seen one...not a matter of belief or not, but claim to have actually seen one. I'm not Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca or Tuscarora...I am Six Nations Mohawk...an I take it for real.

  5. Then why did he comment in the first place? Does his claim that his native buddies don't believe in Bigfoot negate the dance on the video? Of course not. He is just a JREF troll running around our website stirring the pot.... if he gets a nut he immediately runs back to the JREF tree and shows them his catch, in which hopefully they give him atta boys and back slaps. I can tell you what the point of conversation is over there just by the subject of the threads he starts here. Its best just to ignore him. He is no friend of any of us here, nor our website. Very cool! This account of Sasquatch comes from a missionary staying with the Spokane tribe in 1840. http://www.bigfootencounters.com/classics/walker.htm

  6. I can make such judgments because I have personal experience with BF. Some of the claims by habituators are hard to believe, even for proponents. Those claims include English speaking BF, BF being impossible to photograph, winking in and out of existence, and the ability remotely to disable electronic devices. All stuff you likely think are bunk. Well so do I, because I have experienced none of it even though I have a limited history of BF encounters. Some of these might be possible, like speaking English, but the other claims I have not experienced. Until I do, I am as skeptical as you are. As a I often mention, I came into BF research very skeptical about the whole thing. Only when something rings true based on my own experience, do I give it much credence. But I do not dismiss everything out of hand. That is not science but a dogmatic belief system, which skeptics and proponents both can be guilty of doing.

  7. Do you actually want to discuss your plan or just have everyone pat you on the back and agree with you?

  8. The network exists and has for a long time. Look around. Think about which researchers are NOT here. It's not forum based, predates the internet. The real giants in the bigfoot world rely on a thing called a telephone. Most don't have time or interest in the bickering here. The forum guidelines say BFF is here for the discussion of bigfoot, not to help prove they exist. You have to think about the implications of that, ALL of the implications, especially the ones you don't like, to understand why BFF isn't relevant to solving the puzzle. If that's all you're after here, you're in the wrong place. MIB
