  1. I'm finding that more people are becoming interested in Bigfoot. It wasn't just the show Finding Bigfoot that got people curious, Missing 411 was the one that sparked my interest and probably many others as well. Look at all the Bigfoot stuff for sale lately, quite a bit out there. I know a well known documentary producer who is very interested and wants to do a show on Bigfoot. I'm at the point where I don't care either way if people believe in Bigfoot or not. For us who know Bigfoot exist, we will go through life with a higher understanding of our planet with an expanded mind knowing there's more to life than what we were taught.

  2. If say the lack of interest is due to the need for instant gratification. To John public, after watching X amount of seasons of FB with no results they are bored with it. The show quickly became a rinse, was, and repeat. Ultimately less ppl in the Woods is a detriment to the search on a pure numbers stand point, that is if you believe in the widespread territory and high(ish) population portrayed by sighting databases such as the BFRO.

  3. I agree it best for real researcher to be left alone by all those tree knockers and hollers. It is something that takes a great amount of patience and time and if messed up by some yahoo, can amount to a large loss of investment. I have invested a ton of time and some money into researching, but it is hard if human interference becomes an issue. I have so much recorded that seems related, and yet I cannot completely rule out human interference, although at times that would seem impossible. Suffice it to say, I like my woods to be quiet and free of false disturbances, or kids hollering or tree knocking. If we are to accomplish anything through the technology we have today, we need to have freedom from false hits.

  4. If there is a lack of interest, I find that the best possible outcome if it happens. Unfortunately whether or not there is any Finding Bigfoot anymore, you also have the "other" and so much bigger FB. That's right, Facebook. It alone has degraded Bigfoot into a public display of pure nonsense. Some of the most absurd crap I've ever read dealing with Bigfoot is on there. I've been on all the Bigfoot forums over the years and even some Crypto sites. They fail in comparison. And it has also destroyed forums like the BFF.. There is several serious groups on there including mine. There has never been any deviations in our research. It's simply what we do and no one influences our belief in Bigfoot or the money, time, and miles we put in every year doing this. I also find that most of all the nonsense in the general Bigfoot groups on Facebook, I'd say 80% of these people has never even been out of their small suburban backyards but it's always Bigfoot no matter what. It's also an outlet for people to say what ever they want without any type of restrictions unless the group doesn't allow nonsense such as ours. So new people into Bigfoot will join these groups and think all that nonsense is real. And these wackos in these groups, it's not like they were/are actually doing or have ever done anything for real research into Bigfoot. But you're right, I've seen a decline in a lot of groups and even less shows on Tv about Bigfoot other than the same reruns all the time. At least the tv craze has died out some. If you're a field researcher it's best just to keep doing your thing by being in the woods as much as possible. You gotta love this if you're gonna do it right or have a chance.

  5. I think less people looking makes it more enjoyable for the die hard, but that is also...well, less people looking. Less of a chance for someone to Forrest Gump into the discovery. It could also mean less profiteering, as in less hoaxes and false reports?

  6. I think that is a good thing. The last thing we need is more BF enthusiast crashing throw the woods banging rocks and trying out their weak BF yell. I am sure it is stressful to the BF and only makes life harder for the true researchers.
