  1. Bobbie Short, curator of the immensely popular Bigfoot Encounters website, witness, and decades long Bigfoot researcher drafted an important book, The de facto Sasquatch, before her sudden passing in 2013. The title was taken, by permission from a lecture by the late Ph.D. wildlife biologist Dr. John Bindernagel. Family members Chris Millet and Reverend Kimberely Brittan enabled the draft to be completed in installments. The first installment concerns Native American history; and, military reports. The editor and prime mover of Bobbie's book is Molly Hart-Lebherz. Molly is assisted by: Sharon Day, Steve Summar, M.K. Davis, Sybilla Irwin, Don Monroe, and others. Contributing artists are: RobRoy Menzies, Alex Evans, and David Claerr. The first installment is available through Bigfootencounters.com or directly via: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/596c0bae4c0dbfa1d26e86be/t/5b9bff06562fa7cfcdf1bfc8/1536950038606/The+de+facto+Sasquatch+premier+installment.pdf .

  2. Woman hiker just West of Mt Hood went missing a couple of weeks ago. Did not know what happened to her until they finally found her body and it showed signs of a cougar attack. She had not told anyone she was going hiking but they knew she was a hiker and finally someone found her car at the Zigzag trail head. Cougar had got her and dragged her away from the trail and her back pack. They sent out a hunter with dogs who got one cougar in the area but so far testing has not shown it to be the killer.

  3. Had he heard about the guide getting killed by the bears? While I have issues with human killer wildlife, most of the time it is stupid humans that put themselves in danger and that results in the wildlife getting killed too. Sad for all.

  4. Sorry about the equine limitation, Norse. I've never been on a horse and always wanted to experience what a backcountry experience would be like aboard a horse. You've been blessed with a lifetime of such experiences. Your 4-wheelers and hiking will open a new world of adventure. That's a good thing. Life is about adventures and I'll get out and experience them if I have to drag myself along the trail. Maybe Bigfoot will marvel at you being in your format and will decide to come a little closer to look and see. Have your 45-70 ready!

  5. Not me.... I would blow a hole clean through one. And for the betterment of the species and its habitat. But with neck surgery looming? Quite possibly with rods and pins inserted. I’m probably going to have to hang up my spurs.... The risk of coming off a Horse or a Mule is too great. I got bucked off last spring and landed on my head for example. Not an easy thing to talk about..... I really had a lot of plans left and even talked about riding the CDT or continental divide trail from Canada to Mexico. I’ll miss my time in the mountains with stock. Its just a timeless romance of simplicity and perfection. All you need is grass and water and some wood and leather to make it all work. I will miss it.

  6. Myself, seein' one would be all I need to know...everybody else...well...not my concern. Huntster, glad that beauty is still walkin'. Rockape, actually I think Huntster got the gist of it just fine.

  7. Sorry to hear of your troubles. I know what it’s like. When it rains, it’s Hurricane Flo. I’m not the killer I got you to imagine me as. For example, after all these years here in Alaska, I’ve still not killed a grizzly. I’ve backed up friends more than once, had close encounters with them, and have seen plenty of them. I just haven’t found “my” bear yet (came real close a few years ago.......). And Mrs. Huntster discourages me killing bears... ......black or brown. For most of my life I believed that to get official scientific recognition, and the only way to silence the skeptical morons, was to kill one. But I’ve come to despise the skeptics so much that I now want them (and the rest of society with them) to remain as ignorant as possible. Official recognition will likely be detrimental to them. Hell, I wish mankind didn’t know that I exist. I’m thinking about becoming an undocumented citizen.

  8. I’ve missed you, wondering where you went. I guess you got too cheap to hang out with the A-Team.
