  1. And I agree with you the article is wrong. The locals have legends of little people...not giants. And lo and behold.... what do they dig up? Little people! The hobbit is a huge victory for native myths and legends everywhere. More? Agreed. There could be all sorts of cousins living in our DNA. I think Africans being the only “non hybrid” Homo Sapiens will someday be proven false as well. We are not linear boards....we are laminate plywood with a rough side, a finished side, and blows in between. One fact that is indisputable is that as time goes on, and new fossils are found? Our family tree looks bushier and bushier.

  2. Pack it up boys. Time to go home. Edit: Theory of them eating their dead makes much more sense than some burial type ritual given the conversation lately of human/ape/not so smart human.

  3. Two questions. 1) You allude to parameters. What parameters are you referring to? How does he suggest samples be collected and transmitted to avoid contamination? 2) I wouldn't quibble over a couple of hundred but my "couple of thousand" might be $2,000 while his couple of thousand might be $7,000. It is critical to have him nail this number down more definitively if he's encouraging the collection of samples. If Disotell wants reliable samples, there needs to be a protocol communicated to us that we can follow. Otherwise, the process may be contaminated and doomed from the start and no one wants to throw hard-earned money down a rat hole. I don't have the faintest idea what protocol is. Medical gloves, a clean instrument, and clean container? His clean may be different than mine.
