  1. I have no issue with what you believe, your perspective is born of your experience and I simply think that it may not be accurate. I can respect honesty and humility and I do believe that you have expressed both, to my knowledge you have not claimed a great secret or expertise from your experience. I respect that you can't explain your position and that you do not try to wave it around as a fact. I do have issue with the majority of folks who endlessly claim that Sasquatch in fact have supernatural or advanced capabilities, these people can't produce a single piece of evidence that has weight. Not a single one can lay clear casts on the table, show an unknown hair example or play an audio clip of anything other than an owl, coyote or neighbors arguing in the distance. They instead claim that they have all this knowledge, info and top shelf evidence but they will not share it out of respect or special interests. You will also note that any topic always comes around into self importance or what they know and what you don't. It never seems to be about expanding the truth or explaining how. But why would they, they after all are the 13th member of the council of 12. The strange thing about this is that for some reason there are people out there who who can produce this information and they are not having Woo experiences. These people actually focus on the details you can see, touch and breakdown. Why does this methodology pan out far better than anything else suggested or plastered on an internet forum of facebook ? It also just happens that these people can actually explain things in detail, they have a natural ability to lead by example, they can consider other perspectives and the different ways people arrive at conclusions and most of all they don't consider themselves to be the most important aspect of the situation. For some reason they can track a set of prints, predict report generation, gather unknown audio recordings, and record thermal footage. This really should not sit well with anyone who genuinely examines all the information, why do the guys with less information on the " reality " of Sasquatch end up with a weighted table ? I have sat down and talked with many people who claim Woo experiences ( dozens ) and strangely the majority of them are either self important and deceptive or unstable and delusional. This is not just my perception and conclusion, the majority of friends and family that interact with these individuals often have further evidence that this is true or at the very least agree that they are mentally unwell in some way. This is yet another win on the side of science, this test is repeatable and consistent just as much so as the flesh and blood search results. The only argument left to try and suggest is that this group has not come up with a body and that argument has been put to bed long before this hour and so we still end up right here in the conversation. I have also watched people switch sides and it was more than easy to predict, these people simply lack mental discipline and need to believe something to feel significant or to cope with something. Dealing with failure is simply harder than saying that the subject is just bigger than what anyone can handle or prove, it is huge release to be able to believe you are in the midst of these creatures and that you are special or chosen. You then don't have to feel like you lost or gave up, you just get to sit back and experience. It is easy to believe in magic, all you have to do is not pursue the physical truth long enough. This is entirely a human problem. The individual mind finds ways to explain what it can't grasp and most often this conclusion is not the measurable truth. To address the BFRO comments I am going to quote myself from another topic. " The BFRO does not guide you out to gander at Sasquatch the way people do at animals in Yellowstone and nor do we put you on a pack-horse into the most remote locations where a tire may not have met the road in a decade to prepare for a 6 month grant program to be the next Jane G. This is a common misconception of what we are about as an organization ( I am not speaking for ever single expedition or organizer, some members have their own code of ethics and conduct ). The BFRO as a whole provides a form of education on the entire subject and how it relates to area ecology and history. Folks have the opportunity to learn and connect with BFRO members for guidance on some of the points below. We provide attendees to accessible locations that repeatedly generate reports at particular times of the year, we put people in the best position possible to have an experience but we do not promise anything except research methodology and environmental education. We give directed presentations on witness evaluation, reported behavior, field operations, implementation of thermal/audio technology and basic ecology. We also offer classes on habitat evaluation, report documentation, data mapping, track casting, DNA collection and nighttime observation. We offer perspective, knowledge, methods, tools and hands on experience so you can go out on your own and maximize your odds of encountering these animals. It is not impossible that hoaxing does take place on a small percentage of expeditions, both attendees and X-members have been caught in the past doing so. I can speak for the majority of the western US expeds as being honest and professional in nature, no monkey business. Honestly it is getting more and more difficult to hoax in events like this because of thermal cameras and drones ( the BFRO has a number of units ). On the expeditions I have been a part of we did allow folks to have handguns as long as they abide by the laws of the region and do not make presence of it in group settings. That being said some organizers are exception as they personally feel the risk of something going wrong is high, having a bunch of folk running around in the dark all jazzed up over something popping in the bush could end badly. On another note, if an attendee was inclined to try and hoax something then there is a possibility they themselves could be hurt or worse if another person carrying reacts incorrectly. I had never heard that attendees had to stay in their tents, that is new to me. On the expeditions I have been a part of we actually encourage folks to stay out as late as 3 am to try and provoke interaction or possibly get something to follow groups back toward base-camp . We do setup folks in groups to be moved with a member or repeater, this is a safety policy so nobody is hurt or lost.

  2. Human feet washing ashore over many years, many in hiking boots/outdoor footwear, BigFoot anyone?

  3. Ok. Part of the problem is you went back and edited your post after I read it and responded. Do you own a high powered rifle Hiflier? Do you own mules? A horse trailer? You said you support the pro kill mission. So why dont you do your job? And Ill do mine? Ive already said that I supported you in emailing the state of Washington. But I would MUCH rather spend my time in the mountains? Than dancing with in circles with bureaucrats..... thanks.

  4. I really do not understand how the Denisovan finger bone find is somehow vindication for Melba Ketchum..... Melba Ketchum tells us that her Bigfoot DNA shows it a hybrid between some archaic ape man and European women like 15000 years ago. Unfortunately her DNA is actually a bunch of unrelated fragments of a bunch of unrelated animals. Human, Possom, etc. Its not a complete genome of anything.... I had a genetic test done on me and it was pretty much spot on to my Norman/Amish ancestory as orally told by my parents. If a person is Native American? I have no doubt they would pin point that easily. Lastly, I could very well be walking into a trap if I shot one. I understand the pitfalls of science and see it used as a club against people all the time. Especially wildlife biologists.... I.E. Lake trout are the reason Yellowstone has no Elk.... has nothing to do with Wolves!!!? Whatever.... I've heard it all. But having had children and now grandchildren possibly exposed to the danger of an unknown predator, especially a very cunning primate one? People have a RIGHT to know!!! If its a reality? Then animal Politics and cooking the books be damned.... I will knock this thing on the ground if it crosses my path. Not a seconds hesitation... It's a public service. And its coming out with me over my dead body. Bigfoot Army or MIB.....regardless. People can judge me a monster afterwards, so be it. At least they now know the TRUTH.

  5. Irrefutable proof is never going to be there unless a body is brought out. The mass sightings "suggest" there were "many" (several hundred is only a guess based on the number of sightings and the varying characteristics of the evidence) bigfoots inhabiting that area for more than a decade, hence the number of sightings. As to where they went, we can only use conjecture. My "opinion" is that the vast majority of them moved further out into the wilderness just like most animals do when man invades their habitat. If anybody actually "knew" where they were we would've already had a body. Sighting charts help when searching for a hotspot for activity.

  6. First of all, I'm not proclaiming scientists as wrong. I'm asking why they didn't see in 2009 what they pompously see today, and fancifully now cultivate into more industrial paleoanthropology. One 40,000 year old finger digit can do all that? Really? And fresh hair that repeatedly comes back as "human" in unlikely places can't be zeroed in on? If human, why don't they tell us who? They're not as wrong as they are cowards. They're waiting for you to provide them with their meat and potatoes, Norse. Then they'll have you for dessert. How about a bit more evidence of DNA "science" as more of a circus sideshow than a scientific tool?: https://www.theverge.com/2018/10/15/17978144/elizabeth-warren-dna-test-native-american-genetics-ancestry-culture-identity-politics ^^^^^^ In short, forum habbers who feed sasquatches blueberry pie out the back door have more standing than DNA scientists with Hominid Milkshakes in their test tubes, but without the balls to point at it and opine. AFAIC, Melba Ketchum is just another priestess in the Church of Scientism, but at least she has displayed more scrotum than all the rest of the clergy (except maybe the guy who casually produced a 40,000 year old polar bear in the Himalayas, which was promptly ignored as if it was a bona fide sasquatch), even if she was stupid enough to get associated with Erickson and his circus sideshow.

  7. Some have been identified through DNA. Those were victims of tragic accidents; plane crashes, boats sinking, bridge jumpers, that sort of thing. No apparent BF connections!

  9. Ketchum provided a comedy of errors during her entire 15 minutes of fame. So many unforced errors as to be ridiculous. I'm FB friends with her for comedy gold.

  10. Some of the best reports are from truckers. In general, I dont think they give a dang about the government. http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=58980 http://www.bfro.net/gdb/show_report.asp?id=22890 http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=13627 http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=23521 http://www.bfro.net/gdb/show_report.asp?id=24755

  11. Oh I most certainly have! And it's also ironic that Bigelow, who chased Black Triangle UFO's and issue a summary in 2004 that they were of military DOD origin now holds contracts with NASA for inflatable space modules. All the while he underwrote MUFON when they needed funding on the stipulation that he and his now defunct NIDS get first crack at any reports that come in. This was when the FAA did their shift of telling pilots to report any sightings to the NIDS. When the NIDS folded the FAA changed the affidavit by substituting Bigelow's B.A.S.S.S. company for his ex-NIDS group: 1. PARAGRAPH NUMBER AND TITLE: 1-2-6. ABBREVIATIONS, and 9-8-1. General 2. BACKGROUND: Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) is a new organization that is devoted to exploration of extremely advanced aerospace technology, including the so-called unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) or unidentified flying object (UFO) topics. In 2001, another of Mr. Bigelow's organizations, the National Institute for Discovery Sciences (NIDS), succeeded in becoming the “go-to” organization for the reporting by pilots and air traffic control of UFOs in the United States. NIDS is now defunct and has been replaced by the larger, more capable BAASS. Therefore, pilot and air traffic control reporting of UFOs in the United States should now go to BAASS, vice NIDS. So we are deleting the NIDS acronym and adding the BAASS acronym. 3. CHANGE: OLD NEW TBL 1-2-1 FAA Order JO 7110.65 Abbreviations TBL 1-2-1FAA Order JO 7110.65 Abbreviations Abbreviation Meaning Abbreviation Meaning Add Add BAASS Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies NIDS National Institute of Discovery Sciences Delete Delete OLD NEW 9-8-1. GENERAL 9-8-1. GENERAL a. Persons wanting to report UFO/Unexplained Phenomena activity should contact an UFO/Unexplained Phenomena Reporting Data Collection Center, such as the National Institute for Discovery Sciences (NIDS), the National UFO Reporting Center, etc. a. Persons wanting to report UFO/unexplained phenomena activity should contact a UFO/ unexplained phenomena reporting data collection center, such as Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) (voice: 1-877-979-7444 or e-mail: Reporting@baass.org), the National UFO Reporting Center, etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But I'm only a random person conspiracy theorist, RIGHT? even though everything above is factual. Ah well.... BTW, g, good job getting the BFF back on line after the server update. Excellent work. YOU DA MAN!!

  12. True, most of these claims are anecdotal and are subjective experiences. This is a big claim, that the majority of Woo experience claimers have mental issues. It might be true depending on how you define Woo. One problem that I have with the use of the word Woo is that it is not clearly defined. There is a spectrum of Woo claims from possible & improbable to impossible (I wrote a post on this topic a few years ago and created a spectrum of claims). Are claims of infra-sound and self illuminating glowing eyes (not eyeshine) part of the Woo? If so then, then I recall that Moneymaker (the BFRO leader) is on record saying that he and BFRO colleagues have experienced that. (I recall reading that in the book Monster Trek by Joe Gisondi, but also think MM mentioned it in one of the FB shows). I have not experienced these claims and am not defending them, but I have heard from other BFRO expedition participants (who appeared mentally sane and stable) that they have experienced them. Evidence of Infrasound and glowing eyes claims could be captured with instruments (I believe that SWWASAS got some evidence in audio recording). Once you move on to mind reading, psychic messages , hearing voices, etc. - your are in a different ballpark and the likelihood of mental issues increases, but they are not impossible claims (per government funded research done at SRI, DIA, etc.). Personally, I have not met anybody who claims psychic messages with BF and am not defending their claims. Also, I don't want to side-track the discussion onto the government funded Remote Viewing program (since plenty of that information is declassified and available). One guy who surprised me was Keith Bearden (a long time contributor to BFF) and a good field (boots on the ground) researcher. He was doing what you suggest: focusing on getting casts, hair samples, photographs, other physical evidence until he got involved with the habituation crowd. I read his book Forest Friends of the Night, and was shocked by his claims at the end of the book. His claims probably put him close to the right hand side of the woo spectrum. However, I find it hard to throw him under the bus with your above claim. All that I can say is that his claims are extraordinary and he needs to provide better evidence. Another person who I met in a BFRO expedition and who I respect his excellent field research and book is Joe Beelart. He also has made some paranormal claims about BF (more orally than in his book) but I would not lump him in your pot. Again, just trying to point out that there is a large spectrum of type of Woo claims and a large spectrum of type of researchers, and I find it hard to lump everybody with odd claims in the same pot.

  13. When I was younger in the coastal rain forests of Oregon , in one year of hunting and hiking/camping, I would see 300 plus black tailed deer, at least half as many porcupines and as many coyotes, and several bobcats. Rabbits and California quail abounded. Elk were everywhere. Now in one year I see about 20 to 50 black tailed deer, two or three coyotes, zero porcupines ,bobcats, California quail, and elk. Some years I can see up to 12 elk but rarely any at all. My point is, as populations and the habitat changes, it effects every living thing. I don't see any reason why Sasqatches would be any different.

  14. Actually, that long list is primarily because the area got hit hard by several serious on-the-ground researchers, and got focused on immediately after "initial contact" when the timber industry first penetrated the area. There are precious few areas like that left within prime sasquatch habitat along the temperate Pacific coast. The initial invasion of this area got lots of the locals going in addition to the outside sasquatch hunters. Many of the above reports were by the guys who were going in there to work daily building more roads into the area. Green just documented it well. And even with all that activity between 1958-1970, most of it was footprint finds. There were only a few actual sightings. These creatures are incredibly elusive. It was incompletely described. The trackway was in snow and observable from the air.

  15. @Huntster Thank you for that. Even with my interest for over 15 years now, I had no idea there was that much activity in the area leading up to the PGF. That is unbelievable and some of those folks must have gotten really good looks. Makes you wonder why we don't have anyone today having that much consistent success.
