  1. Remember that the Australopethicenes have modern esque feet. (No divergent big toe) And walked upright. But are not in the genus Homo. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australopithecus This video shows the evolution of tool making. Our big muscular thumb and strong grip is a result of this practice. Hand and eye coordination is unmatched in the animal kingdom too. And of course the ultimate prize? Giant slabs of bloody red meat that is high in protien and gave us bigger and bigger brains. Our hands were in a arms race with our brains. Creating better and better weapons that eventually lead to our mastery of the planet. Bigfoot either checked out early in this human story? Or was never apart of it. Again, great Apes show human emotions. And are obviously distant cousins. Because tool making is at the core of being Human. And they do not seem to possess anything but the most rudimentary of skills. Despite chimps being much stronger than humans? Their thumbs and the muscle attached is rather pathetic when compared to a Human. Holding and flaking stone tools or gripping a spear shaft is not what their hands are designed for. Their hands are besigned to swing from branches and knuckle walk. Their thumb is there for grasping but not to the level of sophistication ours is.

  2. Homo Erectus was creating hand axes over 2 million years ago. From my perspective there are some giant holes in the behavior of Bigfoot that excludes them from the genus Homo. Koko can sign to you that she is crushed that her cat died. And that is impressive. But she will never pick up two rocks and strike one into a weapon to hunt and butcher game with. She doesnt even eat red meat to begin with. So either somehow Bigfoot lost its ability and will to create stone tools and weapons? Or more likely? It never possessed those abilities to begin with. Because its a bipedal great ape that is not in the genus Homo.

  3. Hunster, The sasquatch lackin' a divergent big toe doesn't necessarily mean it is more human like in my opinion, simply shares a characteristic associated with bipedalism. A gorilla may spend more time on the ground, but it is still a quadruped. My opinion, they share more characteristics with the other great apes than man. Pat...

  4. I'm well beyond that. I "believe" in the existence like I believe in God and Jesus Christ. I had a "maybe" experience (footprint/trackway find) that I felt then and now was pretty strong evidence, I've looked into the phenomenon extensively, I've reasoned it out, and I now believe based upon what I've experienced, learned, and reasoned. The same is true with my belief in the God of Abraham; I've experienced, educated myself, and reasoned it out. In short, it's belief in a phenomenon that cannot or has yet to be proven, but that is supported with evidence. It is as much fact as we can glean at this time; the toes are aligned in front without an opposed big toe that is built for grasping. Even gorillas, mostly ground dwellers, have such a big toe. No other living primate other than man has such a foot structure as what is leaving these tracks. That is not true at all. We know that hominins have lived on Earth in the past. It is undisputed. We now know (since just 2006] that 3' tall hominins lived on the island of Flores in Indonesia as recently as 12,000 years ago, and that area has a history of reports of 3' tall biped apes (Orang Pendek, or Ebu Gogo). We also know (since 2010) that Denisovans lived in Siberia as recently as 40,000 years ago, that they were "robust", and there have been legends of yeti and almas in the region up to this day. But there is no such knowledge of extra terrestrial life capable of space travel. In fact, science tells us that it is impossible for biologic entities to travel through time, which would be required to travel to the nearest solar system. It is science fiction, or misidentification with secret military aircraft.

  5. Yes, they did. The Finding Bigfoot show did do a reenactment using Bobo and I'm pretty sure Bobo walked the same path as the figure. As I remember, the figure was significantly taller than Bobo, and Bobo is 6'4. I also think Bobo fell considerably short of matching the step length of the figure. I don't know if the show used the same type of thermal imager as the Browns. I would think they used the same thermal imager they used in their shows. Cliff B. did take a still frame of the Brown's creature and put it side by side with a thermal image still frame of a 5' 9 person and the creature dwarfed the 5' 9 human. Hopefully it shows up below.

  6. Did they ever go back to the actual site and do a reenactment using the same FLIR or the same model? It would be curious what a 6' human would look like compared to the figure in the video.

  7. No. 3rd image down is how I would find the stick and I went through many evolutions on this. Spent a fortune on apples. The stick would be removed and placed on top of the stump in the same place every time. I have wondered about right-handed and left-handed dexterity. What you don't see are the other items that were on top of the stump where the stick is. They were removed first, then the apples. The items on top of the stump were of no interest to birds. The rotted out hole down the center of the stump was not 'round'. The top was about 5" roughly in diameter. The hole tapered and the lowest point would hold 1 apple with the upper surface about 11"--12" below the top surface of the stump. That low apple would be gone. That would be a difficult reach. The stick does not have any marks. Check the cross section of a raven beak. Raven is a strong and inteligent bird. Smarter than an ape. A raven beak would have left marks on the stick. I have the stick in my freezer. I plan to use the stick in the future-----deja vu for Sasquatch. Good test. I might be able to get to the sight in July. Access is difficult. All activity stopped when I put up a trail camera. The closest tree was 17' away and was 4" in diameter. No bears, they don't care about trail cameras. Again, I was camped 1,000' away. The trail camera strategy is to have placement horizontally away from the target area at the tree line ( not up or downhill as it is a steep clearcut with no trees ) I have a trail camera that has a telephoto lens and is prefocused at XXX feet. Everything bad about trail cameras obeys the laws of inverse squares except the flash since it has a reflector. The distance will help attenuate bad camera emissions. July is a long way off and we are getting hammered with snow at the higher elevations.

  8. Ketchum provided a comedy of errors during her entire 15 minutes of fame. So many unforced errors as to be ridiculous. I'm FB friends with her for comedy gold.

  9. I think they're nomadic, anyway, and will follow the weather up and down in elevation as well as following seasonal food resources. If an area gets an increase in human intrusion, they will likely lay lower, maintain a strictly nocturnal posture, and perhaps leave earlier if they get uncomfortable.

  11. You are a newbie. My comments for you to take under advisory are: be very careful about posting images that are not your own and look at, bookmark ; www.bigfootencounters.com There is a section " Hoaxes & Rumors". There is a line; "another page with hoax listings", go there. The 2001 Myakka Skunk Ape. People in Florida want tourist dollars. One avenue is the 'Skunk Ape'. I don't agree with some of Bobby Short's postings but it should be required viewing for rookies. Also, do a Google search for Myakka Skunk Ape. The Japanese have costumes with molded in teeth.

  12. Standing alone, yes it can be interpreted as that. Collectively however when finding regular patterns in over 5,000 reports, very different.

  13. But you wouldnt say a word. Which is your right to do so. Most habituators love the lime light and notoriety of being "experts" right up until you ask for evidence and then they act like you punched them in the mouth.

  14. Interesting thread. Not exactly the best approach. The best evidence has just been shared.

  15. Finally found them! Took me long enough. It was just a matter of figuring out the correct key words to use in the search engine.......or perhaps Google and/orbthe state allowing them to be found. I've used Alaska's anadromous fish atlas for decades to determine fishing locations. California's maps will help zero in on seasonal sasquatch (and bear) habitat during anadromous fish runs. For example, this map shows that coho salmon only run up Bluff Creek as far as Fish Creek, and apparently spawn in Bluff Creek itself and not its tributaries: https://map.dfg.ca.gov/bios/?al=ds326 There are also chinook salmon and steelhead ti check. The central index page is https://www.calfish.org/ProgramsData/Species/AnadromousFishDistribution.aspx
