  1. I suspect well over 50% meat in their diet, maybe upwards of 90%. Look at the abdominal muscles and shape compared to a gorilla. Gorillas' large gut is needed to process enough plant material to extract the necessary nutrients and calories. (This would also be why the trail of plant destruction Norseman hypothesizes is necessary is not found ... because they're not eating plants in similar proportions.) It does not seem to be present in sasquatch based on the reports, instead, they look pretty much like us but bigger. Most of that "bigger" seems to be muscle, not digestive equipment. So, going out on a limb perhaps, I think most of their dietary calories, etc come from meat, and plants are used only to provide specific "stuff" not available, or slightly deficient, in a meat diet. I guess we're going to have to wait to find out. MIB

  2. I cannot disagree more with Madison. Humans have already eclipsed fossil fuels with nuclear power.... the power of stars. Bureaucracy and fear has hobbled nuclear energy in the US. But in France to whom we gave nuclear energy? Like 98% of their energy grid comes from nuclear power. In my view? Humans will be a multi planet species mining the Kyber belt long after any hairy Hominin is left standing. Even if Humans chose to go back to the stone age tommorow? We are all just standing around waiting for the next asteroid strike to end most life on earth. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theregister.co.uk/AMP/2016/06/20/mammals_nearly_wiped_out_in_asteroid_impact/ The most susceptible species to extinction from an asteroid strike are large and rare animals. Our chances of survival based simply on our population not counting our technology puts us far far ahead of Bigfoot. Ultimately we cannot burn fossil fuels in space. Nor can we rely on finding them on other planets. Our electrical technology is getting better and better. Although hippies will be protesting lithium mines next..... Its gonna happen, we are gonna get there. OUT there.... Its just a matter of time. We already driving remotely on the surface of mars! Incredible!

  3. Please list any time in the past when there wasn't any times of war/conflict and genocide on this planet. There were signs of battles in Alaska before the ice barrier melted. Last night, I watched the original MIB movie. The one with the giant cockroach. The giant cockroach said that humans were pathetic and working on making themselves extinct. An interesting view injected into the movie. Check out who produced and who directed the movie. Where are the neuralizers when you need one?

  4. Humanity has survived for most of its time on Earth with very limited technology. Any catastrophe that may occur may well wipe us down to a very low number but we will survive no matter what. we have an ability to adapt that dwarfs that ability in any other species. In terms of being highly evolved, homo sapiens aren't, Neanderthals were actually more evolved, more specifically evolved for a particular climate to be exact... ultimately, that was part of their downfall.

  5. Our numbers are successful only because of the discovery and utilisation of an amazing, one -time energy source - oil and it's incredible derivatives. Without it, we would be less successful. When it's scarse once again, our population will plummet and crash. Numbers do not prove success, we are simply a species blooming in a temporarily energy rich environment, much like yeast, imo. Our ability to use our tools to take advantage of this energy is a temporary thing, and ultimately an unwise decision.

  6. Population numbers suggest we are the more successful species. Maybe (most likely) we die off and the last remaining life is cockroaches - then I guess they were the most successful.

  7. They do not stink all of the time. Many theorize that the overwhelming odor is a 'fear' response/olfactory signal.

  10. This springs to mind. Squatchermetrics Published by Squatchermetrics Like This Page · 20 February 2018 · #Sasquatch - Let's talk Arizona. 85 Total Reports, with 11/15 Counties responsible for those Reports. What month is most common for Total AZ Reports ? August What AZ County has the most days of precipitation in August ? Coconino (5) What AZ County receives the most annual precipitation ? Coconino (The Northern portion of the Kaibab National Forest receives more than 20 Inches annually, on par with San Francisco) What AZ County makes up 80% of all Summer Reports (20/25) from the turn of the century ? Coconino What AZ County makes up 100% of Non Visual Reports from August in the last 12 years ? Coconino What AZ County makes up 100% of Actual Visual Reports from August in the last 12 Years ? Coconino Where do you think we should go on vacation this Summer ?

  11. Below is the same data with NASA's Night Lights layer. Please note that the night lights are from this decade, in the 70's and 80's urban sprawl was much less.

  12. We have discussed this before and I agree that taking an individual is the best way of closing the door but I don't think I am the guy to do it. I do have to disagree that we can't acknowledge the species without the body, I think an entire gene sequence, good video and the replication of our methods by others will get enough academic interest. We have cataloged other branches of hominids off of a sequence and bone fragments ( nearly indistinguishable from neanderthal remains ) so I think the there is still room here.

  13. Good points WSA but the internet also gives us accesses to things and people. And it can get a lot of minds working on a problem very quickly. The internet facilitates individuals' forming of a consensus and coordination a plan for action. There are groups all over the web doing such things. But not here even though there is potential for earth-shaking developments to occur. Remember that "random person"? It doesn't have to be that way anymore. What would it take (using what we already have and know) to get a movement aimed at getting an official answer to Sasquatch existence to go viral??
