  2. If the tree was planted in the ground with no roots, then a simple dead lift is possible. Since a 60 foot tree has large roots going out horizontally in all directions for a long ways and some fairly deep, then it no longer is a simple dead lift. You would be literally standing on what you are lifting. It would be nearly impossible to walk with a large root wad. the tree would have had to be broken off above the ground to walk with it.

  3. Check out the last paragraph. Evidently the government cover up began as early as 1924.

  4. I was out checking an area this weekend, as well. Just south of where BC Witness was. I went to the Chilliwack River Valley. Tried to get up to Foley Lake, but there was still a foot and a half of snow. A small avalanche blocked the FSR. ATV's could get over it but the snow was too deep and soft for my truck. I parked it and my wife and I hiked the 5 km up to the lake, instead. After we got back to the vehicle, we went to a forestry campground nearby (no snow there), where a witness had told me that he had experiences nearly every time he camped there. Bipedal footfalls within the campground, pine cone throwing, etc. A beautiful area with tall Pine trees and mossy undergrowth outside the camping boundaries. Like walking on carpet. Definitely going to have to spend a weekend or two there.

  5. HiFlier, The kids are lied to. I do not praise their actions. They should be written up for missing school. The Earth goes through cycles of weather. Earth wobbles and the axis of tilt varies. We have heat waves, snow and flooding, all part of cycles. Check out the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927. Can't blame that on Henry Ford or US Steel. The sea level concern is over rated. If you are worried about the sea level, pump the salt water to the low parts of continents. Look at the economy of the Great Salt Lake. I know someone who did the brine shrimp fishery there. Lake Death Valley....... think of the recreation dollars. Pump salt water into the Sahara Desert. The water will find its way to the bedrock and ancient river beds. You had a post with a list of names in a vertical column. If they stood next to me, I would not know who they are. However, that list has decades of failure. You are on email #5. Do you send them with a 'return notice of receipt' flag? Good luck with #5.

  6. Wait a minute... you're in Alaska, I thought it was obvious to everyone there that there is global warming? At least that's how the climate change folks portray it... This year in Iowa I'd like a refund on my carbon credits... I thought 'red wolves' had been determined to just be wolf/coyote crosses?

  7. More DNA magic, as well as the lack of such, all wrapped up in the same story........again. It's like climate science; global warming will end up freezing you to death. Yet we are to believe that DNA from hominid fossils dead for dozens of thousands of years ago have "proven" that they are us.

  8. That ain't no logging machine. The whole thing could be a hoax as anything is possible with videos these days. The real question is whether a BF (assume they exists for the moment), could rip out of the ground a tree of that size. Really really hard to believe. Engineers like me were always taught to do some simple math to first see if something is plausable For instance, if you calculate the dump truck to weigh 2 pounds you probably made a mistake along the weigh. So here goes: - 1 real strong man can dead lift ~1,000 pounds. (World record is 1,155) - Chimps are roughly 4x the strength of a man (quick google search). Lets use 3x for this analysis - A BF is roughly twice the size of a man from a muscle mass perspective (maybe 3x but lets use 2x) - So 1,000 x 3 x 2 = 12,000 pounds for the very rough deadlift estimate of a full grown male BF - the weight of a 60 ft Fir tree with a 3ft diameter is 8,735 pounds (it is freeking amazing what you can find on the web) I doubt one could deadlift one straight out of the ground but if you get a couple to rock it back and forth as shown in the video with one or two pulling from the base I guess it is plausable. Why they would do it is another question.

  9. Natfoot I am in the same situation as you. For what purpose would it take several of these creatures to work on one tree just to pull it out of the ground. It serves no purpose what so ever for them to work so hard at it. In the context of it being a hunter I could see why they might do some thing like this and what purpose it could serve. But not if there has been logging going on in the area in the first place. Prime area 's of hunting could very well be a good reason why they would be pulling out trees and tossing them. After all what Human wants to share their good area 's of prime hunting area's with others. As far as I know none ! I go as far back as i can from other hunters on public land as I can so that I am not being bothered by other hunters. It is these area's where I have had my encounters and my experiences with them. I am pretty sure other hunters will say the same . What is on that video is clear and yes it fooled me at first but the light in the middle was not them and was man made. The video that Norseman posted clearly shows what is taking those trees out of the ground. Now I am not an expert on those machines but I do have some idea about these creatures. These creatures do not need to pull trees out of the ground when the have down falls to work with. In my opinion I feel like they us trees as a way of letting us know their way of show of force. It is just like seeing these these 4" diameter twisted tree tops with no explanations . It is them saying to us that this could be your neck if you do some thing wrong on our turf. Again this is just my opinion. But I am more on the side of them pushing trees over then uprooting even though I have seen one uprooted 2" diameter pine tree.
