I already told you. Public announcement. But I'm still a long way off from that. Heck, I'm a long way off from getting anything in writing. It would be nice if first someone would answer my emails. It has been almost three months now. The last ones went out about two weeks ago. You know what that means right?1 point

It is interesting how many of these hunters (who commented on the HowtoHunt youtube video), say that after their encounter they either stopped hunting, stopped going hunting solo, or never went into the forest alone at night again. Some suggested that it was like PTSD. Many said that eventually they regained the courage to go back hunting. I wish we had the real full stats from hunters who have encountered BF. I met a very seasoned hunter from CA, during a BFRO trip, who had a daytime experience while hunting deer. He got so spooked that he stopped hunting for years. Eventually he found the courage to start hunting again and also started investigating the BF phenomena. I wonder if the hunters’ fear comes from realizing that they are not the top predator in the forest with their guns? None of the cases that I have read indicate that any hunter got hurt intentionally. There was one case whereas a guy ran into a BF and the BF pushed him back to get him off, and that blow took all the air from his lungs. But I don’t think the intention was to hurt or kill, but to get the guy off him. Moreover, there is no evidence that BF has killed any hunter. These creatures can be fearsome and can scare the hell out of you with their loud screams and aggressive throwing of rocks and shacking of trees. But if they really wanted to kill any of these hunters, they could have done it easily. So on one hand, you got these hunters (who know the wilderness and forest areas much better than the average public and know the real wildlife dangers) who are scared of BF, and on the other hand you got the new age crowd (mostly non-hunters, who claim to be telepathically communicating with their BF teachers while camping in a group setting in the wilderness) who do not fear BF. Who has a better sense of reality? I say the hunters, but they might be biased in terms of their bi-polar view of the world (consisting only of the hunted and the hunter). There might be 3rd way whereas these creatures are not interested in hurting humans (unless they feel threatened). I am not eliminating the possibility of a rogue BF abducing or killing a human, but I don’t think that is a common behavior. Otherwise, there would be a lot more missing hunters and near misses (with injured hunters). Unless you think BF is so powerful and skillful that he will never miss a kill. On the other hand, there is the Dark Forest Theory of the Universe (see link below), that appears to be a bi-polar view of alien life and is based on a winner takes all belief. I don’t this applies to BF encounters, because many encounters have been peaceful. Nonetheless, I am sharing the link FYI. https://medium.com/futuresin/the-dark-forest-theory-of-the-universe-a52012529e0f “In The Dark Forest, the assumptions of life are this: living organisms want to stay alive — they have a survival drive — and there is no way to know the true intentions of other lifeforms. Because there can be no certainties of a peaceful encounter, the safest course of action is to eradicate the other species before they have a chance to attack you instead.”1 point

He posted some of his stories in 2010 and 2011 on the huntingbc forum. Not long after I joined this forum posted a number of sightings reports from other forums on this site. I gave it up after I received a warning because I missed editing out a curse word than another for using *** in place of a curse word. By editing out with no indication that there was an edit negatively impacted the story IMHO and I felt that it just was not worth the effort Here is the link to the old post1 point

Well NatFoot, it was at the base of Crescent Mountain near Little Lava lake between highway 20 and 22. I shot a bear close to dusk and we (Tony,Vernon and I) decided to spend the night and retrieve it in the morning. We were parked in a wide spot off the gravel road on a long corner with young alders to the sides and large fir trees behind us. We had seen no camps on either side of us as we hunted during the day. I slept in my truck bed in the canopy and door and tailgate open with my head on the tailgate. Tony and Vernon slept under a tarp just behind the truck. The moon was bright enough to read by and it was shining through my window. I had been asleep for several hours when I was awakened by loud bipedal foot steps fast and hard coming down the road towards us. I looked out of the window , but saw nothing. I turned on my stomach to see if Tony and Vernon were still there. Both were asleep. It was at this moment, me on my stomach and elbows looking over my tailgate, that the footsteps came around the corner and came to a dead stop when who or whatever it was saw the truck. I was frozen in fear because either a person was walking these back roads after 11:00 pm or a Sasquatch was. Either one was not desirable. All was quiet for a few minutes. I was still on my stomach when I heard light footfalls creeping slowly along the side of my truck. I could hear and felt as it ran it's something (finger, hand?) briefly on my truck as it came to stand above and behind me blocking the moonlight. After a while, a minute or two?, it slowly sneaked back out and around to the front of the truck and stood for quite a while. I didn't move from my position. Then I heard it sneaking down the other side and stood behind me and above me. I was too scared to look and hoped that if stayed motionless it would think I was asleep. The next thing I hear is it entering the alders about 10 yards away. It must have stood in the alders for 5 to 10 minutes. I looked over at the alders, but could not see it standing in them. Then I heard rustling through the alders and then fast and hard down the road it went. Later on about 2:30am, I was woken up again by walking, however, it was easy to tell that it was a quadruped. It was confirmed when it, a deer, blew it's alarm sound and jumped off into the trees. The next day I found no tracks and Tony and Vernon said they heard nothing but the deer blowing and crashing the brush. I couldn't make out what was brushed down the side of the truck because there was very little dust on it.1 point

After finding Sasquatch hand/arm, butt and heel prints, from that day on I never went into the woods alone, until, I was at church and the Pastor preached a sermon that changed my thinking on solo hunting 3 to 6 miles into the wilderness. He said that no one in that church should be driving a car due to the dangers of it. Not to leave the house because it could get robbed. Not to have friends because they might betray you. OR, go out and live life to the fullest, conquer your fears and LIVE! Those things might happen, but then, they might not! Drive and travel and have friends. Celebrate the positives and learn to deal with the negatives that come along with it. I now hunt about 60% of my time solo 3 to 6 miles from the truck. When I hunt with a buddy, we part ways when we leave the truck in the morning darkness and meet back at the truck in the evening darkness. I am on constant high alert and have that same fear of encountering one again. I have had numerous encounters (not sightings) with no ill effects to myself and I believe statistically that accidents are more likely to harm me than a Sasquatch, though, not out of the question. On one occasion, I fell while dressing a deer and narrowly missed my knife and barely avoided a potentially fatal outcome. I learned to keep my knife sheathed when not in use. Sometimes I get that overwhelming feeling and I just can't deal with it and I hoof it back to the truck. I love solo hunting and it scares me pretty bad most of the time. The joy of it outweighs the fear of it, however, I have never dealt with a hostile Sasquatch, so, that could be a game changer for me.1 point

Yep in the presentations I have seen Paulides give and the material I have read and listened to he is not hot button pressing on BF! Edited to say and forwarded @hiflierJohn Green had much historical data in his books, with the patterns of data displaying eyeshine or eyeglow alone he has set the standard for predictive validity on the basis of my sighting and multitudes of others long since he stopped collecting data for said database. Works for me.1 point

I say brave as he’s put himself on the line here and open for some huge ridicule both personally and professionally, but he clearly doesn’t care. Video’s were released part week and no, they weren’t released on the 1st ! Part 2 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_vCwgVnYhi01 point

I did your survey, but as hiflier says, "believe" is the wrong word. Belief is based on faith. I KNOW they exist .. and it is based on **experience**. There is a huge difference, not just semantics. You might do well to consult with someone who has experience with the subject for guidance in asking correct questions in the future. Depending on what you've set out to demonstrate, you could ask more targeted questions to draw out the information you want. MIB1 point
