  1. Went to a new area this past weekend. Unfortunately, the spot I wanted was already taken by other campers, so I had to choose a location too near a river with noisy rapids for my tastes. Thought I heard two knocks last night, but they were drowned out by the sounds of the river. Guess I'm just going to have to take some time off during the week, to ensure as few other people as possible around. Even though I got zero activity, it was still a nice quiet trip away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

  2. Honestly, I believe you may read to much into things. You may be so deep in BF belief that you attribute any and all signs to BF or BF conspiracy. I may be 100% wrong. I’m open to many possibilities. That’s my opinion.

  3. I just watched a good review of the Emerson Bag. It looks excellent. Well organized and, as I mentioned above, larger than the OKB. One thing I didn't see mentioned in the review was the docking loops which are already on the Emerson Bag. They are the loops on the top of the bag on either side. You should be able to "dock" your EB to your backpack with the addition of docking straps. I don;t know if you can buy them separately from EB but they would be available from HPG: https://www.hillpeoplegear.com/Products/CategoryID/1/ProductID/29 These two straps transfer the entire weight of the chest bag to your backpack. I was out on a hike on Saturday and docked the OKB to my Seek Outside backpack. There was no sensation of weight on my chest or trapezius (shoulder muscles) the entire day as the weight was transferred to my hips. In the past, my trapezius would tire from the weight pulling down on those muscles. Not anymore with the docking straps. For a few dollars, it is an invaluable addition.

  5. I picked up the exact same Emerson bag off Amazon to see how I liked a recon kit style bag. I have been using a Hazard 4/Civilian Labs chest bag over the past year and wanted to see how this style bag compared. Overall, the quality exceeded my expectations, which admittedly were not too high...given that this is basically a Chinese knockoff from a company mostly known for airsoft equipment. I did think that the inside of the main compartment was too 'busy', with too many pouches and straps. The right hand inner pouch gets in the way of quickly drawing my pistol... which is the main reason that I carry such a bag. Also, I do have some concerns about how this bag will carry in the heat of a South Carolina summer. It seems that it might be a bit hot to wear, especially when coupled with a pack. I see that the Hill People Gear version is a bit smaller, with less organizational pouches inside. I would like to go with their Snubby size bag, but that version will not fit a Glock 20 in the main compartment. So, it looks like I will have to try out their Recon Kit Bag and see if it a bit less bulky than the Emerson. I believe that the Emerson would definitely serve well for someone who is looking for a 'chest organizer' as oppose to a concealed chest holster. Unlike other people's experience, I did not have any issues with the chest straps sliding or coming undone. Overall, I think that this is a very good product, just not for me.

  6. So, nobody has ever witnessed the formation of a large tree structure by a windstorm or ice/snow either, am I right? And this means there is no "evidence" of that happening either, am I right again? Sweet! I'm down with that. Bring the evidence that random meteorological events cause these. Until you do, I'm going to rest my case on "huge, strong, furtive bipeds with hands that have been observed doing just about anything a biped with hands can do".... and as I mentioned, there have been accounts of contemporaneous tree manipulations to sightings, and some very close in time and proximity. Above all else, those in opposition to this idea have proposed no other reasonably plausible explanation, which for now is exactly the same as not having the explanation. Why this is such a giant leap in logic for some is beyond me. They are not assembling fusion reactors in the woods people, they are apparently just piling up trees for reasons only they can know. Bring a better hypothesis than "I don't think they are" and we'll talk. In the meanwhile, you are no better than the scoftic, who, when asked to explain BF sightings and footprints only says, 'I don't believe in BF". No. Better. So, again. Looks like I stand unchallenged on any serious level. The only rejoinder you have, I guess, is these structures don't exist. But they do. Deal.
