  1. I went for a walk Saturday. 10+ miles, 3 on trail, 7 out through the woods over logs under logs through brush etc. Got lost-ish for a while. Trail vanished under drifts up to 6 feet deep. Bit sunburned. Bug-chewed. Some minor issues with leg cramps. NO BLISTERS!! My best picture from the trip: Little bit of zoom on that. It's about 5-6 mils to the snowy ridgeline. MIB

  3. ^^^^ Right. There's plenty of room in that skull for 3x the bone mass AND 2x the brain matter of a human. People saying sasquatch having more bone, heavy brows, etc means less brain in there are not accounting for the sheer size of the the overall skull "assembly." Besides those two unknowns, we don't know what the relative proportions of various regions of the brain are so we don't know what specializations they might have. With truly prodigious size to work with, darn near anything is possible. MIB

  5. I finally broke down and purchased a Recon Kit Bag from HPG once I found one in multicam black. While the Emerson bag was of better quality than I expected, the HPG is better in every way possible for my needs. It is not as bulky, wears better with a pack, has a more streamlined layout in the main pistol compartment, and the straps seem to fit more comfortably than the Emerson. To me it was well worth additional money.

  6. I'm pretty sure a Bigfoot skull is many times the volume of a human skull. Not sure about brain size though.

  7. Hiflier, I think that you should branch out with road crossings in the international genre. With all the dash cams in Russia, Almas should have their own reality show by now. Coming to a dash cam near you: "Almas and the roads less traveled", season one. Da. On the other hand, if you have watched Russian dash cams, Alamas might be avoiding roads like the plague. Maybe 50--50 chance of Almas road crossings.

  9. Oh man, you opened the Pandora's box of contradictory intrigue. There are definitely human forces at work seeking to discredit SO. There are plenty of reasons to dismiss the research as well. It's all very strange. On one hand, I just can't buy in to the vocalizations. But, I still want to hear clear evidence of how they faked it. We can all use software to manipulate our voices but you will leave clear traces of that software/studio manipulation. I know audio fairly well and have cranked up the volume, ran the videos through my own software that can detect differences between tracks. None of the vocalizations are re-used except in obvious highlight purposes (greatest hits kind of thing). There are different depths that are difficult for amateurs to fake. The range of vocalizations is really impressive. So someone with a lot of time on their hands must have done the hoaxng. A lot more was done here than hanging out of a window and making dumb noises. I want to know how the microphones were set up. I want to know the software used. If it's a hoax, then spill all the beans. If it's not a hoax then you have to do more with it. If no video or photos of this creature then let someone other than psychics onto the property to verify. A team with credibility other than the usual set of clowns on TV.

  10. The Laverty part of the PG film story is among the most interesting of all. He was the only government official involved, he had prior experience with a nest and footprints, his, private photos got into the public sphere almost immediately, yet he has remained very quiet about his side of the event. Laverty had heard of the filming while off for the weekend in Eureka, and on their way back to work, he went to the site and took the photos. It is clear that he was a "bleever", and he was wise to remain quiet about his opinions. His career turned out very successfully. AFAIC, "no evidence" strongly indicates no dead sasquatches. I have no reason on Earth to believe his story at all.

  11. No, incorrect. Smeja had strong reservations about the "steak" being bigfoot. It was many weeks between the shooting and the collection of the sample. Weather had changed and the "steak" was hacked off of something frozen under snow. There was hope it was bigfoot but nothing more. Smeja said so from the beginning. It was Melba Ketchum who "confirmed" it was bigfoot and asked Smeja to destroy the rest of the sample with bleach, etc so there could be no DNA remaining to contradict her evaluation. Some time after that, Bart Cutino and Tyler Huggins assisted Smeja with sending some of his remaining sample to Trent University where it was tested and determined to be bear ... conclusively. That is more or less what Smeja expected all along. The blood on the boots is a bit of a different story. That was "collected" at the time of the shooting. Problem is it was not tested until it had been in the field, including immersion in salt water, for a considerable time. I don't recall whether the boot samples came back as blood or came back as so contaminated and so degraded that nothing identifiable was found. MIB

  12. Mrs. Huntster is a caribou killer, and she would shoot a moose if she had a shot. But bulls only now. if she shoots a cow, she gets extremely upset. She's sexist........LOL. Once she shot a cow caribou, and when we walked up to it I could see that it was lactating. I squirted Mrs. Hubtster with caribou milk. She about cried thinking she'd killed Bambi's mommie, but no calf was in sight. While she held legs open for me to skin and cut, she scanned the horizon looking for a calf. Never saw one. I don't think I could ever get her to shoot a cow again. There's no way she would ever slaughter any of our livestock. She's at home as I type here on the beach at Kasilof petting and loving our lamb and ewe. Women are natural nurturers, not killers.
