  1. It's been very hot lately, hiking some, but the ground is so dry....and not many tracks to find. But have found a few down by the creeks. The Sotol plants are on the menu during these hot dry months, and have found plenty of the discarded shoots in several places, they seem to love eating this stuff during the summer, and it is quite tasty:)

  2. Too many of the drawings look too much like each other. Too much artist interpretation going on in my opinion. I have not had a face to face with an adult BF but I have with a juvenile. That alone makes me wonder if there is more than one species or major variations because of the differences with that juvenile and Patty. I am sitting here comparing an 8 x 10 of the juvenile with Patty. The juvenile has what looks like a mohawk of hair running over a brow ridge that is way more exaggerated than Patties crested head. Mostly hair that seems to be at least 2 inches standing straight up as would a human with a mohawk. It almost looks as if it has been groomed to stand up that way. Patty's head is conical but the juveniles is more pronounced. Short furry ears seem to be in view where as Patty does not have visible ears. The light color on Patty's face is across her eyes. The juvenile is nearly black with a bright pink patch in the nose area. Its eyes are large and very dark. No white showing. It is just hard for me to extrapolate the juvenile looking like Patty as an adult. Of course hair color and skin color likely change with age and sun exposure. When we see pictures of human children they often remind us of their parents. Of course genetic deviation or even malformation due to inbreeding may well be very prevalent in isolated BF populations. One would think such malformations would be much more common than with a large and diverse human population. I have wanted a look at an adult to compare with the juvenile. That may give me more insight as to what happens as they age. Just comparing the eyes and nose of the juvenile to the blowup of Patty. The location of the eyes and nose to each other are similar. But Patty has a prominent nose and the juvenile has a flat looking nose. Childrens noses are smaller then tend to grow as an adult but I cannot see the flat nose of the juvenile getting the shape of Patty's even with growth.

  3. If there is a version of frame 352 out there that has been “altered”? It’s still going to be more accurate than a artist sketch. Unless someone photoshopped bunny ears onto it or something like that. It’s pretty easy to tell...

  4. There is another factor related to a cross between a male BF and a captured First Peoples woman. Without access to fire, bed clothing etc, it is unlikely that a BF / human cross baby would make it through the first winter even if it were genetically viable. For sure the woman's mother would not be available to provide stuff a normal grand parent does for a human baby. Then when weened, the baby would need to be able to tolerate raw foods to be able to survive. I think it very unlikely the mother could last long on raw meat either.

  5. I have encountered lots of Bears. Some Bears stand their ground pop their jaws and look at you like you owe them money. Or they Bluff charge you. Or not in my case they charge you, maul you and eat you. Some times they lumber away and sometimes they run away too. But just because an old lady Bigfoot lumbered out of there instead of bouncing out like a Gazelle? Does mean she wasn’t surprised. And she certainly didn’t stick around to find out what the cowboys were planning.... From the moment of 1st contact she was fleeing away from them. Don’t know how else to take that. She never stood her ground for a second.

  6. I have some more non sequiter bigfoot haiku for you. ’'''''’'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' It was late at night and Hunster was passed out Bigfoot rocked his camper which caused him to shout He grabbed his gun and flashlight as well his jaw dropped at a vision from hell Bigfoot stood barely a few feet away a stunned Hunster had nothing to say In one mighty step, Bigfoot ran for the trees It was only then that Hunster realized he had peed

  7. To explain things more, I was in a camp site with nearly a dozen folks. We had activity all around us at various times (i.e. wood knocking, hooting, branch breaking), so my focus was not just on that particular tree line. I had strolled over to my vehicle about 30 feet from the group and just began looking about with a pair of 7x50 binoculars. At some point, I noticed this dark blob along the tree line at the top of the hill. My first impression was a vulture perched on a tree, but if it was, it was huge! I decided what ever it was, I was going to shoot a video of it. I had a small mini camcorder and a 30X monocular I use as a jury rigged telephoto lens. it is light and works well, but holding it over the camera lens is challenging. I took two video clips of it and had not used my reading glasses. I centered the dark blob on the small LED screen and took the video. Another point of interest much closer to camp sprang up and I was off that way. I never realized what I had captured until much later while reviewing all my videos through the laptop. These subjects are extremely difficult to see, let alone get pictures of. I have held this for over a year and decided to share it with no strings attached. I remember it was just a few short years ago that I hungered for information about this highly elusive subject. Since then, I have been blessed with multiple visual encounters that have exceeded my wildest expectations!!...If they will permit it, I will eventually capture a clear up close video or picture of them, but it will be in their time, not mine....
