Norse - that is a sweet setup. Just got back this week from the BWCA in northern MN. Fishing was spectacular for the first two day. Between my buddy and I we caught 80+ fish. Last 2 days were slow, 15-20 mph wind with gusts up to 30 out of the SE which really fouls up fishing from a canoe. Saw a family of otters one day. Highlight of the trip was actually seeing what I believe was a wolf. From about 100 yards, it came out of the woods to drink from the lake at dusk. Soon as it saw us it ran back into the woods. Looked too big and dark colored for a coyote. Wasn’t able to snap a pic. I’ve heard them howling many times but first I’ve actually laid eyes on one.1 point

That kind of claim is the laziest kind of nonsense. And why the subject isn't taken seriously in the mainstream.1 point

Most humans are not interested in killing them. So many reports of hunters not making the shot because of how human they look. We certainly are the most dangerous thing they face if the reports of bear avoiding them are true. Did you feel like you are adequately armed when you had your sightings? I sure didn't when I had my first encounter and still don't. I guess I count on getting a pass from them like I have.1 point

I suppose that, at least 'til we KNOW differently rather than just BELIEVE differently, we should allow for the possibility that rather than being non-technological, they are hyper-technological, aliens from somewhere else that have their technology built in rather than needing to carry it externally. Not "robot" or anything so cliche as that, but mechanically enhanced biological. Remembering Clarke's third law here. It certainly would fit some of the reported actions better than anything else we've got so far. No, I don't believe it either, but there is no basis other than personal belief for removing it from the table at this point in time. On that basis, it'd be foolish to entirely discount it. But then, fools about and I'm sure some will. It would be kind of funny/ironic if in the end Patty really was a suit ... just not one of earthly origin. MIB1 point

I don't know what they are and that's OK for now. I'm a little disappointed with the theme of a lot of the posts here lately from folks who have been around a good while. There seems to be this (not new but now constantly stated) theory that could help explain some of the DNA failures over time. The theory doesn't bother me and neither does the hypothesising, it's the statement of this theory as HAVING to be fact and it seems like some are just accepting this as true, and just the way it is. Anyways... No clue. Quite the mystery. With all of the reports, claims of supernatural shit and then pure ape like encounters from posters I believe here....no clue. There is something very "human".1 point

It was weird. Prior to Saturday I've heard 4 knocks that I identify .. total, ever. Where we camped was a dead end. There's a lake on top of a high (800 foot) bluff. To go past it you have to backtrack a quarter to half mile. It either followed us or it was heading to the same place for some reason, not just passing through. The knocks were not particularly loud but they all came from roughly 30 feet from where I was laying in my bivy. Did not seem to be affected by the noise of me rolling over nor by the finger-snaps I tried to see if I could get a response. (Maybe next time I'll clap?) The knocks went on, in clusters, for just over an hour. It ended in a vocalization. The knocks and stuff were fine, comfortable. Anticipating, but in a good way. That vocalization was very creepy, ominous, and weird. Not all that loud, just a little louder than the knocks, but the content ... yech. Imagine a racoon "chuckle" overlaid by a huge number of clicks and "scratches", overlapping, with some rising and others falling at the same time. Was .. unearthly. Never heard approach or departure sounds, just began and ended. I'd set up the audio recorder 100 yards or a little more outside camp to pick up vocalizations from the far side of the canyon. I deliberately didn't put one in camp 'cause last time I did, all I picked up was us snoring. That bit me in the butt this time, a recorder 20 yards out would have gotten some very cool stuff.1 point

I've had 2 sightings, clear and unambiguous, about 35 years apart, plus 1 more I'd rate 98% or more likely. Found one line of tracks in '74. Couple lakes with probably trackways underwater. Many (ish) individual or pairs of tracks. 3-4 knocks that were knocks, not acorns or the like falling. Couple odd vocalizations, some I've recorded. Makes me wonder how much I've missed noticing along the way. I haven't gotten out as much the past 3 years, first because of foot problems, then because of recovering from surgery for those problems, and now a new GF with a sizeable piece of property that needs labor I just happen to know how to do. I'm heading out this weekend for my first "real" trip of the year. More will happen in conjunction with deer and elk seasons though. I'm not done by any means. MIB1 point

Could they possess abilities beyond our own skill set? Eye shine, infrasound, extreme stealth, forest ninja-ology, telepathy, telekinesis, remote viewing, manipulation of electro-magnetic fields, cloaking, use of portals, translocation, insane strength, piloting UFOs, some purple glow thing, ongoing interaction with species of extraterrestrials, iinterdimentional existence, disappearing trackways, any of that shyte Dr Johnson talks about....any of that ?? Ehhhh......sure, maybe...but you gotta ask yourself, with each of these reported phenomena, what would it take for you to believe it actually occurs? And once you go there, how can you be sure that what ever such "acceptable evidence" is provided is actually that, and not "just" confirmation that they can control images and perceptions within a person's mind(which is something I personally would find just a bit disconcerting in and of itself!) But by discounting the mere possibility of such things may well prevent you from seeing it, should any such be demonstrated or done before you, or perhaps shut down pathways that could lead to a larger confirmation on terms of their existence.....right? So piloting UFOs....unlikely, but can't be ruled out until the Spacing Guild states they allow no sasquatch crew members..... So, I think I can guess what at least a couple of you are thinking at this point..... "Did he really do what I think he just did?" " Y'know, I do believe he just pulled off a fair recreation " "Yeah! I knew something seemed oddly familiar in a vague sense..... " "Ahyup, dude just Jiggypotomused us..... " "Ahhh, that does take me back" " Well, yeah, but Jiggy P. made a lot more sense..... " "True....."0 points
