While disappointed in how many reports actually get published by BFRO, I can also sympathize. I'm presently staring at 4000 John Green reports, trying to get them entered into the SSR database. Some days I'm gung-ho, and others I lazily scan through to find the easy ones, ignoring the ones that are more difficult to locate. I like 'seen while driving' reports best, as they usually have the best time and location information. Anyway, I think the BFRO has an unmanageable backlog, and too few investigators working on them. I'd guess there are thousands of encounters that have gone there to die. That said.... we can publish any report we please right here on this forum. I actually did that for a few sightings found in online articles, or that I was a part of, or found on Youtube videos, to get them into the SSR. Below is an example of one I knew about that was not 'officially' published. If anybody wants their encounter into the SSR, just look over that form (based on John Green's database - see link below) and add as much info as possible. They can stay anonymous, and nobody has to contact you directly. Enter said encounter into the appropriate sub forum here: https://bigfootforums.com/forum/4-sightings/ Most importantly, let me know you'd like it entered into the SSR and I'll import into the form and into SSR. If you don't want date and location known (within 10 miles or so), then the SSR is not for you.5 points

Cant say about those specific instances but it is definitely common human behavior. You will see this many places where people hang out by rivers / streams. I've watched the rafters along the Rogue and tubers along the Applegate do this when their groups stop for lunch. To me, it seems a form of graffiti, a message "you were NOT here first", a kind of gloating disrespect for subsequent users / visitors, so I kick them over whenever I find them. Where were they on Quosantana Creek? Between the river and the "highway", or on upstream above the bridge? Flumet Flat is one of the places I go to fly fish for steelhead. MIB3 points

Starchunk has earned a one week vacation from the BFF for trolling. Please ignore his posts and continue...3 points

Out of plusses for the day, your post deserves much more than a plus anyway, Redbone. Your work will long outlive you, and I appreciate it (it will long outlive me, too). Even more than Green, BFRO, and other data collectors, the work of combining and collating previous data collections is a huge job, but will serve even after "discovery". Thank you. The only reason they might have to limit it to 3 expeditions is that the USFS might fine them for an un-permitted commercial operation........unless the USFS is getting a permit fee..........2 points

And And here it begins... We were starting a nice little trend here of actually getting people with potential activity to come on the board and share their experiences in real time. Instead of settling for pouring over old reports and second hand accounts, we were getting timely information from boots on the ground. If this message board starts to become hostile off the bat, we can kiss all of that goodbye. So far, everyone has been asking questions in a supportive and kind manner. It's ok to have doubts, but there is no reason to be belligerent. We can disagree without being disagreeable. Almost everyone here seems to be capable of critical thought. You don't need to be the white knight for Bigfoot evidence purity. Does that weird little man Steve Kulls have a message board?2 points

I echo Hunster's sentiment. Hats off to you. That is a monumental task.1 point

A place like that is probably good for at least 3 expeditions. 20 people a piece at 300 bucks a head. Why put that information out for the hoi polloi to find out about and come stink up the place for free? Moneymaker has got thermal drones to purchase. Oh wait. He wants those donated.1 point

Yeah, I know what you are thinking and completely agree. There is a potential intersection between these two events but this is when it gets really complicated and a little weird.1 point

Hi Guys, thanks for having me. I'm an enthusiast from way back and love this subject. I've never had an encounter but I'd love to hear about others folks having theirs and hope to learn more. Thanks again. Vinny1 point

I love all the new stuff coming out. The power curve and tech in ATV's continues to grow exponentially. Beyond what I imagined 10-15 years ago.1 point

Thanks I just got on and checked posts. The one thing I have is character. I am not an attention seeker. I have nothing to gain from this. I could actually lose from this cuz I do hold a position in my community. The original picture is not tampered with it is what it is.1 point

I will brag on Lulu....my 18 year old daughter walks the neighborhood for exercise, and I've always made her take the wolf on a leash, and is a great leash 'dog', go figure....anyway, it's fairly wooded around here, and a Coyote was stalking my daughter and Lulu. Lulu knew it was there and already growling, then the 'yote jumped in front of them, but took off when Lulu went full-blown wolf mode, bristled up and made like a national geographic show....my daughter said it was impressive1 point

I'm cherry picking what I think are the salient points: "We need some mature men or women (or a family) of substantial means who can back the project and appear on camera as part of the effort, ideally piloting their own $6,000 drones." "This project is expected to last for several years." "It will yield several fantastic clips of Bigfoots that will be seen and lauded around the world." So, let me get this straight, OTHER people will fund it for several years, buy the drones, fly them themselves, and it WILL yield "several fantastic clips" of Bigfoots. Even though everyone knows "clips" wouldn't be proof? And it would appear that not a penny will be spent by the BFRO, i.e., Moneymaker? Yeah, that sounds about right. The e-DNA part I can go with. The rest? nnnnnnnnnn-not so much.1 point

Agreed. Garbage data in, garbage data out. If an organization is cherry picking reports, then any statistical information that they provide is suspect... whether it is intentional or a result of lack of manpower or apathy.1 point

I made 2 BFRO reports when I first started field work. Neither generated a response from an investigator and neither ever found their way into a publically available data base. I might as well have thrown them into the trash can. The only response I got was a call from a Finding Bigfoot producer, inviting me to attend a Town Hall meeting in the area. So as was mentioned, I would not even call what BFRO has a data base since they do not seem to accept data.1 point

Thank you! Could you please now go moderate the other couple of message boards that I visit? They could use your help.1 point

We all KNOW that. The owner of the image knows that and has offered to go to his property and see if that can be remedied. Give it some time.....maybe like......a week?1 point

I had major surgery last month and I haven't been getting out. We run across possible BF sign on many occasions. Near South Slough Estuary, a lady was followed on the trail for fifteen minutes and had no idea that bigfoot follows people off to the side of trails where they make lot of noise. The noise scares people out of the woods. This happened to my wife years earlier but she can't imagine it was bigfoot that followed for twenty minutes. In this same area, there are usually wood knocks when I hike into the woods. I don't get too excited unless there are foot prints too. Many times the ground is too hard for prints. On Quosantana creek road along the Rogue river, there were rough cobble rocks stacked three high. Same thing was seen along the Applegate River near Flumet Flat Campground. Again the work of bigfoot or a human? The dense forest area I want to return to near Coquille, something whistled about 5 times at two minute intervals one pitch black evening. Prior weeks I put apples in this area. My wife said it was kids but it was pitch black, and there were no homes near by. She won't budge an inch and admit there may be bigfoots around. It is more fun when you have family and friends to hike and camp with while looking for bigfoot sign.1 point

If you are comfortable posting screenshots of the posts of neighbors with them being upset, that would be great. Obviously black out anything that could reveal specifics on where you live. Would just be great to read it "from the horses mouth".1 point

You have to have twice the length of rope as the distance that you are going to rappel. I think that he said that he was going down a 475 ft cliff. That's a lot of rope to carry...in addition to tent, food, rain gear, research equipment, etc. He must have been the ruckmaster when he was active duty.1 point

Much experience with BF contact points to those using the least Tech having the greatest success. Deploy cameras in an active area and activity pretty much stops. Quite frankly I wonder what would happen if someone donned NA garb appropriate for the region and just tramped around the woods being a hunter gatherer. It is as if whatever we do to with tech gadgets just reminds BF that we are that much different and more dangerous. Hunt, fish, gather mushrooms, roots and berries, and we are just like them doing what they do. Does that make us less scary to them? I wonder.1 point

I don't doubt this gentleman's sincerity and agree whatever is/are depicted in the game camera shot certainly doesn't/don't appear human. In order to get a true indication of their size however, it will take on site investigation; the best way would be to repeat the comparison photo using the same game camera in the same location but in daylight and include some decent photos of the surrounding terrain for context. I would also support inviting him to the BFF as was done with Mark from Oklahoma. These are the kind of thing, along with Madison's Oregon research and a few others that attracted me to the Forums nearly seven years ago, but seem to have frequently been overshadowed in recent years by seemingly endless rehashing of a few topics and fruitless attempts to convince a handful who don't want to be convinced. There, I feel better now!1 point

Yep, so they can swoop in and discredit you. Remember the 'mysterious primate' that was attacking pets and kids in Texas a few months ago? I guarantee that if it WAS a Sasquatch and somebody managed to shoot it... the authorities would have rushed in, taken the body, and substituted a chimpanzee corpse in its place. They would have had a press conference and said that it had escaped from someone who owned it illegally. Even if there is no massive conspiracy or cover-up, they are not going to let something like that cause panic. They will hush that story asap.1 point

Like NathanFooter we used to have some Olympic Project people but they got tired of dealing with scoftics and left. From the outside, they seem to have turned a corner and are more of an expedition service than research outfit. Like the BFRO I have not had positive experiences dealing with them. Many of these supposed research groups are more like bigfoot fraternities than research organizations. I don't relate to fraternities very well.1 point

Mommy and companion. The larger looks very human to me from the shoulders up based on what you can make out. His comparison shot doesn't look like it's from the exact same angle as his gamecam shots but it could just be perspective.-1 points

I thought it was a human until I saw that little guy that blends into her right leg.-1 points

Does look like a very long arm and thick body on the taller being. Does look like hair. I do think some of them look very human-like; I've pulled pictures off of other researchers videos for my own amusement and examined them. I don't know what to make of that smaller being. Looks very weird and kinda creepy.-1 points

Richard, when was the last activity on your property? Do you think they only come around a certain month?-1 points

I belong to a Bigfoot Facebook group (a lot of BS but some good stuff) and this gentleman shared these 2017 Trail Cam pics he had captured while trying to gather images of deer. He claimed the pics where taken in a "Bigfoot hotspot" in NJ. For reference he claimed to be 6'2 After a little research looks like he's from Sayreville, NJ and definitely doesn't seem to be hoaxing. I found this pics very intriguing and would love to hear what people on BFF thought.-1 points
