Since the Cuchara Ranch owner (Mike) mentioned that he has been consulting with Scott Carpenter, I was curious on what Scott Carpenter believes and went to check on his blog. I am not familiar with Scott's work since I have not read any of his 4 books on the Sasquatch topic nor do I watch his YouTube channel. However, I was aware of him via articles and some internet radio interviews. Last year Scott started a new website titled the Sasquatch Awareness Project with a mission to increase awareness of their presence and to help people who have encounters (see link below with mission statement). https://sasawareproject.blogspot.com/p/mission-statment.html Of interest, is the section in the blog where he offers advice on unwanted residential visits (see link below). He offers the Game Camera fence idea, which is a good idea and relatively inexpensive. https://sasawareproject.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html However, further down below in the blog he writes, "I have had a few cases where the conventional methods of deterring the Sasquatch do not work. They destroyed or disabled the cameras, broke the motion sensor lights, etc. One must understand there is a spiritual aspect to the Sasquatch. Most Sasquatch are associated with satanic forces, demonic and paranormal activity. I have had reports of odd paranormal activity in conjunction with the Sasquatch activity." I can't quote further from the blog because it will be a violation of BFF rules on avoiding religious topics. Nonetheless, I encourage you to read that section and understand the POV and belief of Scott Carpenter on the subject. Not sure what the ranch owner will do with this information, but based on the interview, he gave me the impression that he believed theses creatures were F&B and had no paranormal abilities. At ~49 min he says that he appreciates and respects the information from Scott, but that he does not believe some of his ideas (specially any claims on shape-shifting). He says that he implemented some of the ideas from Scott and that they worked and eased the threat (he did not provide details). Wonder what advice Steve Isdahl and David Paulides are giving him?1 point

Agree with the comments that his schtick has a definite pull-by date that is probably rapidly approaching. He will either go dark unexpectedly ( and trigger a ton of conspiracy theories), stay on this tack and gradually grow irrelevant and repetitive or deliver on the "something big" promise. I don't doubt his heart is in the right place, but it takes more than good intentions and a YouTube channel to make a dent in the wall of denial and fear that surrounds this topic.1 point

While some of the participants might be Bigfoot people themselves, the network didn't make the show for Bigfoot enthusiasts. We are a pretty small demographic. As long as the ratings were good, we can complain all we want. It will fall on deaf ears.1 point

Or grown in a lab to have bullet resistant skin, natural chest plates, and reinforced skulls...along with all of the other wild unsubstantiated claims that float around out there. If they were phantoms or bioengineered super predators, they wouldn't need to be so elusive. They would move and appear at will.1 point

Difficult is finding them but once you get a cross hair on one. Modern firearms will take one down just like it takes down a grizzly . If it doesn't then they are ghosts or phantoms not flesh and blood .1 point

I still don't subscribe to that notion if it's planned right. The lone hunter who happens across one and takes a shot maybe then.1 point

He has said in his video that if he did ever try to shoot one of these creatures. That he would never make it back to his truck alive. This only says what a lot of us have said that these creatures never travel alone. Where you see one there are two or three around some where near. We just do not see those others that are around. Yes. it is true that he does not have no interest of pursuing these creatures.1 point

Let me preface this by saying that I enjoy his videos and subscribe to his channel. I find his personality engaging, but I am a sucker for a curmudgeon. However, my impression of him is changing a bit over time...as you can see by my posts in this thread. That being said... enough with the teasers already. The constant claims of the great things that 'they' are doing. What things? Who are 'they'? He kind of alluded to this powerhouse team of Bigfoot superstars. I can put 2 and 2 together and deduce that he is somewhat aligned with the Carpenter/Paulides/Ketchum crew. Is he building a coalition of non-BFRO Bigfoot researchers to compete with Moneymaker? And what are all the great things that they are doing? Giving people a platform to have their accounts read off of a cellphone screen? The internet is filled with podcasts and YouTube channels that already do exactly that... albeit with better production values, more polished delivery, and less impressive backdrops. Maybe they are going to do some sort of big reveal soon, but the constant allusions are getting old. So far his videos are 1/3 bragging about his accomplishments in the Bigfoot world without giving any specifics, 1/3 attacking other members of the community, and 1/3 reading accounts off of his phone. He is turning into Steve Kulls without the airsoft quality tactical gear. I have to agree with @NatFoot on this one. He is uniquely positioned and qualified to be able to put one of these things on slab and do more to further the subject than everyone else in the field put together. Instead, he reads supposed accounts off of his phone, busts on other researchers, and talk about all the great things that he and his allies accomplish without providing even a hint of a detail. I honestly don't know how popular his pure hunting channel was, but I do know that he was all over social media celebrating his 100,000 follower in YouTube. He obviously wants attention, either for himself or for the subject of Bigfoot. If it is to further the research and understanding of the subject matter...then enough with the hints and teasers already. Throw something specific our way already.1 point

I don’t get the sense that he is anything other than what he advertises himself to be: A working stiff who has been forced to accept a reality he did not want and is not entirely comfortable with. The lifestyle and occupation he has pursued before this tells me a lot about him, maybe more than his words do. I also take a lot away from the total lack of discussion from him regarding the obvious question: Why don’t you go hunt one? If you don’t know why that is not something he would be interested in, you probably need to listen more closely to what he says. I do believe him when he says he is completely overwhelmed by how quickly his channel has gained momentum. Like a lot of populist and transformative figures (and yes, I consider him to be one) he has stumbled on a huge demand for his point of view that defies what everyone might have predicted, and which he probably also doesn’t quite understand. He rails about the Deep State Sasquatchers, etc. Sounds a little familiar, me thinks. it will be interesting where he goes with this. Like a lot of usurpers, the initial messaging is the easy part as he exponentially increases his followers. After that? Who knows? Increasingly he will be pushed forward as The Spokesman on this topic. My guess? He would rather go hunting. . I expect that after too much longer he will have said all he cares to say and he will drop off. His legacy though is predicted to be something that might just push this topic a little more towards the light it needs and deserves.1 point

Hey, I am agreeing with Natfoot that they are racoons. I have seen these creatures eye shine on video and have seen how far a part their eyes are and how big they are. Their eye's are gulf ball size eye's and these eye's on this video are way to small. Besides they are way too close together to be Bigfoot. Kudo's to you Natfoot for put up that video of those racoons. That is what help me confirm to me at least what they could be. Thanks.1 point

Right, but if you can transmit the video to your home computer, it can be stored there. Looking online I found that one can fit anywhere from 500 to 700 hours of HD video on a 1Tb drive. That works out to be roughly 21-30 days of video per Tb of storage. I would think that is probably sufficient since you can delete video once it can be reviewed/checked. I have a 3Tb drive on my machine so they are affordable and available (~ three months of video). The hard thing would be looking through all that video for the interesting stuff...1 point

The next scenario at the ranch is to have 'pay to hunt Sasquatch' trips. A guide would be optional. The balloon approach is interesting. A lot of helium would be required for 3 reasons: 1) filling balloon for mission 2) helium leakage 3) helium squeaky talk1 point

I think he's wanting to be the next big BF thing. Although I agree with some of his points, I believe he is full of crap.-1 points
