  1. Yes, but we're probably doing a reasonably fair job of that anyway......without the help of some kind of disease. Even without the Bigfoot or any other creature to worry about, we're paying a pretty heavy price for our greed and consumption. In truth, we shouldn't be depending on proving the Bigfoot's existence to start saving and protecting our wild habitats. If the creature's elusiveness has taught us anything, it should be that little piece of reality.

  5. Sasquatch and smallpox podcast... Being distantly related to humans, Sasquatches would most likely suffer from various human afflictions as well, such as Chicken Pox, Measles, Mumps, Polio, etc. etc. If one pauses to take account of the European invasion and its effect on the Native American population, you must consider that the same diseases wrought upon the indigenous people could have also had drastic affects on Sasquatch populations. It very well could be that those who survived the onslaught of European settlement were those who took refuge in the most remote places on our continent, those very places that even today, remain nearly impossible to explore. Had a disease like Smallpox virtually wiped out tribe after tribe of Native American’s, this same disease could have brought already small populations of Sasquatch to the brink of extinction.

  6. As long as we're speculating? As far COVID-19 vs. BF goes, it may go West before it goes East: Yeren> Orangutan> Yeti> Great Apes etc.

  7. Gunner, I have heard a lot of good things about the Kiamichi Mountain Adventures expeditions, out of Honobia, Oklahoma. They usually have activity, SE Oklahoma & especially those mountains are pretty well known for plenty of activity & sightings. I found them on Facebook, you can search for their web site as well. There are several groups on Facebook that do expeditions or know of where to find them. Look up this group: Native Oklahoma Bigfoot Research Organization, headed up by Troy Hudson, on Facebook. Plenty of activity in Texas as well, the Facebook T.A.A.P.S. group is outstanding & I think they're planning a night time camp out pretty soon. Good luck, lots of activity, just gotta look for it. Facebook is a great place to network & find like minded people. There are some crazies sprinkled about for sure, but also many serious groups you can hook up with.

  8. I would talk to your biologist friend then, Madison, especially for cost specifics. Your friend may also know of any citizen science programs being run by FS , F&W, or the universities. Your biologist may either already know, or want to know, why YOU want to know. Please post what you find out and whether or not you want some details about what's already in place as far as what someone might use to collect samples. There are products available for detecting the Human genome and other products that primate researchers use to detect other Great Apes. That alone may help in any dialogue you may be able to have. Read up on the "why we can't find and study Sasquatch" thread as there's a lot there in the last few pages that might help clarify things better for you. So between contacting your biologist friend and actually getting into a conversation you could have some time to get somewhat up to speed on the subject if you're not already. It would be beneficial for NorthWind to perhaps do the same? Good luck on any future meetings or talks you may be lucky enough to get into. I also would be more than happy to answer any questions that mey crop up
