Some very smart people believe that life on earth is the result of transpermia. Life arrived on comets and icy asteroids debris left over from old star systems that had life. Others take it a step further and believe life on earth has been cultivated by alien intelligences. If either of these is true then sasquatch DNA may not be totally alien even if they have an other worldly origin. Life in this section of the galaxy could all be result debris from old star systems and genetically related to that system. That brings me to a very vivid dream I had after having several BF contacts. In the dream I was befriended by a female BF who led me to her family group who was having a gathering. The family patriarch was a huge grumpy old male. He did not like me there and let me know about it. I asked a friendlier younger family member if bigfoot were ET. The answer to the question was "No we are not from another world, you are" I suppose the dream could be because I enjoy watching the Ancient Alien series.2 points

If they DID have recognizable or even remotely similar DNA....well, that opens up a whole other kettle of fish.2 points

I think that he has actually done a nice job of separating his work in the Bigfoot field from Missing 411. As he states in pretty much every interview that he has ever done, his initial exposure to the phenomenon was when he was approached by two park rangers while he was on location investigating another 'unrelated subject'. Those of us who are familiar with his NABS work know exactly what he was investigating in a national park. However, most of the non-Bigfoot world really wouldn't know unless they looked into Paulides' past. I understand why he doesn't really harp on his Bigfoot research, as there is a large segment of the population who either are not interested in Bigfoot or who find the subject ridiculous. The Missing 411 subject certainly seems to have a certain element of more mainstream acceptance than Bigfoot. To me, his introduction to the Missing 411 cases by way of his Bigfoot research seems very logical, but it doesn't mean that he has to believe that Sasquatch is the root cause of the disappearances just because he previously had interest in that topic. It seems that he certainly alluded to Bigfoot as possibly being a main culprit early on, as in the Dennis Martin case. However, it honestly seems like the more data he has accumulated that he may very well be unsure of the nature of the cause of these disappearances. I see no issues with his interest in two possibly unrelated fields, and the progression from Bigfoot to Missing 411 seems completely believable to me.2 points

^^^^ That is why my go-to gutting / skinning / quartering knife for a long time was a Buck Vanguard with the rubber grip. Seems to ignore rain, doesn't ever get slippery. More recently I've switched to a Benchmade "Steep Country". Mostly similar features, better steel, and lighter. It's also why I like Cold Steel fixed blade knives. I don't do heavy work with a folding knife. They're finesse tools, not pry bars. Where I grew up there was no value to batoning to split wood. We got over 120 inches of rain per year. There was no such thing as dry wood unless you'd set up a cache in the dry season. We would generally carry a road flare or some "black tradin' wood" (pitch soaked fir) if we thought we might need a fire. Y' had to provide heat long enough to boil the water out of the sticks so they'd burn. We learned to think very carefully about staying dry so that drying out did not become a necessity. MIB2 points

GO TO www.thomassteenburg.Com and search "here we go again" and "here we go again part 2" for some perspective on those claims He has been researching for at least ten years. I had conversations with him on the subject 8 or 10 years ago1 point

Hope everyone is doing well under the circumstances:) Here's an interesting find from yesterday while bushwhacking a few new trails......yet another Peanut Butter jar lid from 2 or more years ago, and a few miles from where I had left it. I looked around for the lower jar, but no where in the area. It's been there a while, and lots of lil nibbles all over it What was interesting to me were the flat marks, shown in 1 pic with red arrows. It's like something with flat teeth was trying to get the lid off, you can see where something flat clamped down and then slid a bit, causing a scratch....hopefully you guys can see what I am talking about. The location was a BF trail that I picked up while exploring new areas, way off the beaten path...... there are still more lids & jars to be found, lol. First pic is 'as seen' on the BF trail, and circled in red, there are also 2 small pieces of the lid near-by.1 point

For 100,000 views he might get upwards to $2,000 if people let the ads run during the video instead of closing the ads. And that is all dependent on the ads shown during the video. Those ads have to stay up and running for a certain amount of time to be counted as a view. A view of the ad, not the video itself. He makes nothing just on people watching the videos. But as I've done for years, I just click and close the ad before it has time to count as a payment to someone. And then they get nothing from my view of their video. You have upwards to around six seconds before it counts as revenue. Youtube has made it pretty hard in the last few years to make a lot of money unless you have upwards to half a million or more subscribers.1 point

We are on page 32 discussing this guy, ppl here have viewed his videos to see what he’s all about, good or bad. As Norse pointed out, even bad publicity is good publicity. His tactics work as far as monetizing his YouTube channel.1 point

So, FelixTheCat, this has been educational to be sure. There is a dynamic that maybe you could go into a little regarding your own viewpoint on suspected Sasquatch nesting behavior. Off the bat, do you think that the supposed Sasquatch nesting sites found in the Olympic Peninsula, May of 2015, would be more in keeping with what the creatures might construct. Those nests were compared to the nesting behavior of Western Lowland Gorillas which primitively weave twigs into a structure almost on a daily basis. One question would be have you noticed any nesting behavior more sophisticated that what you have found and shown on your videos? Another question would be do you think that nesting behavior found in one region would be different than behavior in another region and why? A third is, if these nests areas that you find are so close to trails and, IMHO, not the least bit elaborate, then they are made quickly and not meant for long term use? That said, their location close to trails, even though not obvious, should afford an opportunity to collect hair samples or fecal material? And lastly, Have you thought of contacting any wildlife experts, or biologists, from a nearby academic institution to perhaps give an opinion or take a soil sample from in or around the nests? You say you've been dealing with this for years with different types of experience and encounters so I get the impression that you may just keep on for years without a solid piece of evidence for this creatures existence. Do you think it may be time to see if some solid evidence could be acquired by a specialist in the field of wildlife behavior familiar with the area, or a geneticist who might be curious about the structures and what/who may have made them. I say all of this because you have been urging people to go out this Spring and find some nest sites of their own but ultimately how would this progress the subject any further what what you have already done? I mean, I give you kudos for finding these and investigating the possibilities so don't get me wrong. However, I also think it's time to go further and not stop short by finding a nest site, videoing it, and more or less just leave it t that. Do you think it's time to get some science involved in order to gain a definitive answer beyond you yourself being satisfied with who/what is making these structure?1 point
