Can't go wrong with an Esee NW. They do indeed arrive shaving sharp and I've found the edge easy to keep that way. Good luck with it.

Good price The only thing would be the site says it has a 10 degree FOV which is pretty narrow but at 200-300m that field would be quite wide. The viewing distance is pretty impressive though. I think mine is only half to a third of that @ 100m. Mine takes only four AA batteries but then they power it for 4 hrs. compared to your 6. Nice find, NW, and I'll be interested to see how well it does.

I've been out alone hiking and bushwhacking a lot these past two weeks. Yesterday, I hiked back to a location where I had a response wood knock to my knock a few years ago. It's in an area that is very secluded and difficult going as you're crossing a creek to get to the other side of a pond. I put up a trailcam and will retrieve the card in two weeks to a month. In that area, I did come across a 10" print which I thought might be a bear print but didn't see any claw marks. I'll scout out the area in more detail when I return to retrieve the card.

I finally broke down and got myself my first ESEE. I have not had it out in the field yet, but I LOVE the way it feels in my hand, and the sheath can be configured for a lefty like me. I really love the handle scales, they feel just right, and textured to make them grippy. Hope to take it out this coming weekend if all goes well.

Well.... the skeptics and I agree on one simple fact. We need physical evidence to prove the beast real. Woo people come along and have a million crackpot theories as to why we don't have physical evidence. Shapeshifting Aliens Inter dimensional beings So on and and so forth..... So you take a mystery that hasn't been explained and add 10 more mysteries to it. Humans are prone to it. I get it. But for example, lightning is simply an atmospheric electrical charge. Same thing that powers your house. But 1500 years ago it was a giant Blonde guy in the sky that was pulled by two goats with a chariot flinging his war hammer around! I view it as a cop out. Hey. We dont know what X,Y or Z is.....so...... Aliens! Magic! Shaman spells! Whatever....
