  1. I have been thinking about the sorts of information we are exposed to when looking at Sasquatch (or any other thing for that matter). I am first going to present a general sort of description of the types of communications we are exposed to. Then, I will try to post some thoughts on how it applies to the Sasquatch phenomenon. This approach may not resonate with others, but I think it is helping me clarify my thoughts on what is going on in this world of Sasquatchery, with the evidence, the unambiguous encounters, the totally ambiguous encounters (with red circles), the wishful thinking, the theorizing, the leaps of faith beyond the data, the nonsense, the lies, and perhaps the cover-ups. Here is a description of the types of information we are exposed to in regards to Sasquatch, or anything. In the end, most of it is obtained by way of communication from others, although sometimes we do have the benefit of first hand experience. Communication 2020-06-09 I am going to use the neutral term communication to cover the transmission of information from one person to another. We do not have a special term for information that is correct, although we have special terms for information that is incorrect, misinformation, and for information the is deliberately deceptive, disinformation. Below is a mind map showing these relationships. After the diagram, I will expand a bit on these ideas. 1 - Information Some times communication contains true assertions. This can happen in at least two ways: Logical truth Coincidental truth Some true assertions are arrived at correctly, logically, reasoning from evidence. If the premises are correct, and the logic is sound, then the conclusions are supported by reason. Some true assertions are arrived at by chance, guess work, or whim. They are not arrived at from true premises and logical reasoning. Although the conclusions are true, this is only a coincidence. 2 - Misinformation Some times communication contains false assertions, but not outright lies. This can happen in at least these ways: Poor logic Mistaken evidence Incorrect premises Clinical delusion Confabulation Poor logic means that even if the premises are true, the conclusions do not follow because the logic is shaky. If the premises are false, you will not have a logically supported conclusion either. On the other hand, with coincidentally correct assertions, it does not matter if either the premises or the logic are shaky, you get a true conclusion that is not justified. Evidence requires interpretation. Sometimes, this is straight forward, but frequently it is not. So, conclusions based on suspect interpretations of evidence are of course also suspect. Incorrect premises can not produce correct assertions through logic. Sometimes our premises are articulated explicitly, and sometimes they are really left ambiguous. In either case, if they are wrong we can not reach a correct conclusion by reasoning from them. Clinical delusion will result in an inability to think coherently and consistently. It is not likely to lead to logically supported assertions. Confabulation is another pathological condition where people come up with fact free explanations for events in order to interpret life experiences, to answer questions. It is not deliberate lying, but results in inadvertent lies. 3 - Disinformation Disinformation is deliberate deception. It comes in at least two varieties: Propaganda Recreational lies Governments, organizations, businesses and individuals engage in deliberate deception all too often, in order to gain an advantage at the expense of others, or to cover their own misadventures. It is called propaganda when done by governments and organizations, advertising when done by business, and lies when done by the rest of us. In any case, it generally puts the recipient of the disinformation at a disadvantage, and sabotages trust if found out. Recreational lies and hoaxes are common among people who take delight in duping or gas-lighting others. It takes a certain amount of malevolence, narcissism, Machiavellianism, sociopathy or even psychopathy to engage in this activity. Online trolls are one aspect of this. Hoaxers are another. There are just far too many who delight in spreading bull excrement.

  2. I got out for the day on Sunday, with my daughter Andrea. It was a multi purpose trip to the East side of Harrison Lake. We took metal detectors to search old logging camps and beaches, my rifle for black bear and cougar, both open till June 15th, and camera for the money shot of Sasquatch. The metal detecting produced lots of rusty nails, some melted aluminum slag (old beer cans, probably), and 1 modern nickel. The hunting got us a close up look at a nice chubby blacktail doe, but no sign of bear or cougar, though we've had sightings of both in the past in this area. The search for Sas was fruitless, with no sign of tracks or anything else. The real adventure started at about 5:30, when a moment of inattention on my part got the right rear tire of the SUV over the edge of the trail, putting me in a position where I had no traction to go forward uphill, and no option to go backward downhill, as that would roll the car onto its side in the ditch. After 30 or 40 minutes of trying to use rocks and logs to make a way out, we gave up on that, and walked a km back down the trail to the main logging road to flag down a 4x4 to help pull the car 3' forward to get me back on the trail. After 45 minutes with no traffic, we started walking west from the km 43 marker. At km 35, we finally found a dirt biker with a Garmin InReach gps with satellite text capability, and I sent messages explaining our predicament to my son, who has a 4x4, and to fellow BFFer MagniAesir, who also knows the area and has a 4x4. Before either could reply, a couple in a Toyata Tundra 4x4 came along, and offered to help out. I sent follow up texts to let my son and Magni know that we now had help, and off we went to rescue my SUV. The actual pull out was very easy, and both our rescuer and I got turned around to head back down the trail. I offered to buy the couple a 24 case of beer, a bottle of whiskey, or at least pay them for their time and gas, but they refused to take anything for their help. By the time we were back on the main logging road, with 43 km still to go to reach pavement, it was fully dark, at 10PM. At km 9, we finally got a cell signal, and I was able to call Magni and my son to let them know we were safely headed home. At that point, my son answered that he was already coming up the logging road, at km 6, so we met him just a few minutes later. We finally got onto pavement in another 10 minutes, and started home, stopping at a Tim Hortons in Rosedale for BLTs and hot choclates, since Andrea and I hadn't eaten since about 2. We finally got home at 1:00AM, completely beat, and legs aching from the long hike. I'm going to Cabella's this week to buy an InReach unit, since a text out sure beats a long hike on a dark logging road! I didn't think to get a photo of my driving boo-boo, but I did get a few shots of the location during the day:

  3. I don’t believe any of it. Aliens would no more meet with us than the President would meet with a ant colony queen. We are insignificant. And the idea that the WW2 Air Force shooting down a UFO is ridiculous. That would be like a amazon tribe downing a F/A 18 Hornet with a rock or a arrow. Only 1000x greater. They come and go as they please with impunity. The reason the government has ignored it? Because they don’t want to admit it, but they have no control over it. I have seen UFO’s on multiple occasions on my ranch. Lights in the sky going super fast and making turns. They are real. Whatever they are. Unfortunately it tops our level of intelligence as well. Forget big game rifles. Our Fighters and missiles are useless too... If you think your targeting a UFO? Your the one in the crosshairs.

  4. Interesting description you just gave NorthWind. We had a bizarre sound event January 2019. Around 1 AM, I was at the computer reading, my senior mother was asleep. I had the window cracked even though it was brutally cold. Truly out of nowhere came an extremely loud, HUGE sound at the southeast corner of our house. It sounded like a piece of heavy farm equipment like a disc harrow had been lifted fifty feet into the sky, dropped, dragged and crumbled in my driveway. !!! It was so loud that it woke my mother and I froze in place. There was no wind, a crystal clear brutally cold night. It took me a couple of minutes before I could move, was deciding whether I should look out the window without the flood lights on. I finally checked on my Mom ("What was that? I was sleeping.) and turned on the front floodlights. I did not want to go outside but I took my flashlight and looked around that area in our driveway. Nothing. Next day I walked around our property and my neighbor's property to see if I could find anything out of place. I'm surrounded by old and new corrugated metal buildings and farm equipment. Not one thing out of place. However, the very strange part of it and I heard it quite clearly because it seemed like it was very close to the window where I was on the computer, I thought I heard a slight organic sound to it. Something was a bit off toward the very end of the noise. My mother and I discussed it for quite a few days. It was loud but seemed to be contained in my driveway if you can understand that, was not in the distance. I have no idea what it was.

  5. I have experienced the metal type sounds during an event, I have heard what sounds like steel poles being pulled over concrete, I have heard what sounded like a tin car door slamming ( jeep, geo ) in an area with ZERO cars around and I have heard what sounds like a tin can being thrown at a tree. I will share a fascinating story ( it is long but related to the metal sounds ) I was told by a partner/friend who remains in western WA at this time. I have spoke with him and the other fellow who was present for the experience several times and each time I think about the event it is just blows my mind. Both of these men are intelligent, aware and knowledgeable on all subjects and I trust them and their interpretation of the events as accurate. I may be missing some details or have a small detail miss placed but I will recall to the best of my knowledge. I believe this took place in February of 2012 at a research site in Lewis county of Washington state, my friend Kirk and his friend Bill had decided to visit an area that has been long known for activity to stay the night and see what happened. They went up to an old pit still gravel site to try and escape the onset of weather ( this area has always had activity ), they setup camp and bundled up to fight the cold. This gravel pit is about 65 yards long by 40 yards wide and the camp is in the bottom at a depth of about 12 to 14 feet. The pit kind of eats into the side of a plateau, the road skirts up and around to the back of the pit and continues on. Bill brought his truck mounted camper and Kirk setup to cramp all of his 6 '1 frame in his little 03 chevy tracker for the night. They stayed up for a while around a fire and the wind was blowing hard with a heavy wind chill, the temp that night was around 24 degrees or so. They grew tired of fighting the cold wind and decided to call it a night, they put out the fire and crawled in for the night until around 2 am Kirk woke up to a loud knock. It was so loud it startled him awake, the wind had died down but he sort of blew it off as something breaking and started to drift back to sleep but suddenly heard another loud bang coming from up on the left side of ledge of the gravel pit just up slope. He laid there listening for a few minutes and suddenly began hearing what sounded like a tin soup can or coffee tin being tapped on, it was without cadence or timing, just moments of constant tapping. The sound was coming from the same location of the second knock, it would go on and then stop for a few moments then continue for 30 seconds then stop for a minute at a time. This went on for several minutes then stopped for another length of time, suddenly the sound started again but this time it had moved about 15 yards closer along the rim of the gravel pit. The sound then began moving down from the rim to the bottom in camp and started circling the car, at this time Kirk is VERY awake and rather concerned. He told me that the inside of the car had frosted on all the windows do to breathing and the cold temps so he could not see anything, this thing suddenly stopped banging on the can and began touching the car, and then began tapping on the car for just a few moments then it fell quiet for several minutes. What Kirk did not know is that this animal left from his car to go over and explore around Bill's camper, Bill told me he woke up to the camper getting shoved, he is a side sleeper and the rocking was so hard that it rolled him onto his face and he woke up freaked out as his camper was rocking, for a split second he thought the wind was insane but it became clear that this was not the case as the thing stopped and then went around to the other side of the camper. The shaking stopped and the creature left Bill's camper and had now returned to Kirk's car and it began to start tapping on the car and putting weight against the car and moving it. It started going to the back of the car where Kirk had a bag of camping equipment on top of his car ( tent bags, cables, rope, bags, lighter and instant logs ), started grabbing and moving the bag off the top of the car, the sound stopped and then he heard the zipper running back and forth at a high rate of speed for several seconds. It was quiet for about a minute then the thing began bumping and tapping the car once again and by this time Kirk was completely unnerved and could not take any more so he set of the car lights, the horn and started screaming and pounding on the car to scare it off. The thing took off crashing up the slope and over the ledge and dropped into a ravine where it let out a loud whoop and it was gone, seconds after that Bill jumped out of the camper in his long johns with his light mounted AR15 and began sweeping the area, Kirk by this time exited the car with his light and they both started looking around the camp to make sure it was not still around. The noted that the bag had been removed from the roof and set on the ground with about half of the contents removed neatly next to the bag, they went over to the camper as Bill was explaining to Kirk what he heard and they found that the thing had gotten into a tub behind the camper also and opened the contents for examination. Bill did not hear this happen and was not aware until he walked Kirk over to the camper. They stayed awake for several hours talking about the experience with one eye over each shoulder. This event was one of the most interesting experiences I have heard told in person, in my opinion this thing was using some kind of tin can to try and find out if people where present or awake before coming in and investigating/testing the cars. That takes a high degree of planning, and tactical execution. This creature knew that people could be a danger so it came up with a plan to test the situation in escalating steps, first the general area and then each car individually with the tapping and rocking.

  6. I don't like the way the hair frames the face so .. what's the word? .. in such a distinct way. I do expect a more or less hairless face but I expect some hair. This seems to show a very sharp line between the skin covered face and the hair on the rest of the head. That reeks of "mask" which points to "suit" and "hoax." Would love to be wrong. Maybe I am. But I'm careful about accepting things as real w/o a higher level of confidence than I have in this one. If it is a hoax, the guys are good actors, but .. there ARE good actors out there and these guys seem to be in front of a camera quite a bit so they'd be the right ones to hoax it in a believable way. At the end of the day .. FOR ME .. I'd guess hoax but I'm not throwing it off of the table. MIB
