  1. I get the reasoning, but I'm not so sure on the warning shot...if it were the real deal you probably just blew it. My killing experience is limited to regular game, but I know from big bucks and mature gobblers you take the 1st clean shot you get at a hopefully (and preferably) stationary unsuspecting target and make it count because odds are you won't get the 2cnd shot.(and that's with trophy size regular game, much less cryptid stuff) iow, be in it to win it. There in lies the rub... I guess it depends on observation before the shot. If it stops & lights up a cigarette then yeah, warning shot😄

  2. Beautiful country Norseman, Thanks for the upload. My humble submission from the R side. I had a report from a guy who heard a roar near here a while back. He was camping, 2 am, Said it was incredibly loud, assumed it must have had massive lungs, scared the heck out of him. We got out there today, it's local. Nice hike up the mountain through cankered Beech, Oak and Maple. IMG_5452 by LIght Pirate, on Flickr IMG_5462 by LIght Pirate, on Flickr IMG_5466 by LIght Pirate, on Flickr

  3. That was great Gigantor thanks. I was unaware such beings existed. I wonder if there were follow up attempts? Maybe other reseachers attempted the same study in pakistan? Truly amazing

  4. Good advice. I will remember that. My original plan if they do exist and I encountered one, I planned on shooting to kill without the courtesy of a warning shot.

  5. It is really easy to want one on a slab to prove existence but I know I am not prepared to pull a trigger. Even a seasoned hunter may have to think deep, is it half a step away from a bear or almost a human?

  6. Hear ya on that. But like I've said before, fire a round over "its" head. If it hollers out "DON'T SHOOT!" then...........don't shoot

  7. It's not a reasonable comparison. You keep bringing this up in various threads and reiterating her height 6'6" and physical features make such a comparison reasonable. Your theory cannot be substantiated by Sykes' own research. Nowhere does Sykes say or imply or even muse that Zana was a bigfoot. Nothing beyond having a sub-Saharan African lineage. In fact, none of Sykes' work has confirmed anything regarding Bigfoot. It is purely your own hypothesis to involve Zana in the discussion, using Sykes' inconclusive analysis. Zana was human. Patty is an undefined creature which come call Bigfoot. We'll never get Patty's DNA to be 100% certain the two are not related but we know that Sykes' own research cancels out your hypothesis. Sykes never said Zana was an almasty/bigfoot.

  8. It was almost a four hour run to Lolo hot springs from Libby. Not many pictures. Sorry. We soaked in the dark and watched fireworks. We left about ten and took first FS road outta town. We camped next to kids partying all night. :/ Today we went over Lolo pass. Lots of campers on the Lochsa river. Getting fuel at Kamiah, Id and gonna head back into the woods! Two pics. Cabinet mtns- Bull river MT. Outside Lolo hot springs (party hardy camp) Its Bear. Not sure which kind.

  9. I can agree with this. And it represents a personal short coming. Keeping up with the latest tech is a big weakness of mine.

  10. It would be a ton of work to fill in a complete timeline of events. It depends on your BF interests and what types of reading you do. I think everyone's timeline of events would look different. It's a good idea though. Next time, leave out all references to MK Davis. Thanks.

  11. Yesterday Left Colville to Ione, past Sullivan lake up over Pass creek pass, Hughes meadows in Idaho (44 degrees/rain) down to Priest river, Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry and crashed last night on a FS road called Cougar ridge above Yaak river. Today Drove to Yaak, then over to Koocanusa lake, Libby Dam, Kootenai river into Libby. Currently eating ice cream. Gonna go back to Troy, go down the Bull River to Clark Fork river and then on to Lolo hot springs to go soak. More pictures to come. Its very possible to go from NE Washington to NW Montana by FS dirt roads. But past Nordman, Idaho to Bonners Ferry Idaho I dont know the way. The rivers are all swollen, it looks like spring. The massive cedars in Wa/Id line were a treat. IMG_3238.MOV

  12. I took a small piece of exposed film leader from a strip of negatives and cut a circle, took off the rubber eyepiece and stuck it in behind the rubber for the same reason. Works great and does save my night vision since there is no way to dim the internal display like you can with the FLIR TK.

  13. My pooch will be 13 in August- if he makes it. Melanoma and wasn't supposed to survive past last February. You'd never know it being around him. I'm amazed. still runs the beach and swims occasionally. Going camping this Sunday for ten days which he's done every year of his life. Have another trip planned in August. He may make both trips the way he's going right now. This photo is from about 6ix years ago:

  14. I believe that a few years or never in some cases is more accurate. Because of my experience I would not even call what BFRO has a data base.
