  1. The proper response in this area of interest would be to try and dig up dirt on the people who came up with the idea that you didn't find believable, write a blog about it, go on a couple of podcasts to really go after them, and then finish by writing lengthy diatribes on social media. You're never going to get an invite to Beachfoot with that attitude, man.

  2. Thanks! I did end up purchasing a few items. I got the Original Kit (V2) in Ranger Green. I wanted Manatee but it was OOS. The GP medium pouch in Ranger Green as well and the stock cuff for my 30-30 in coyote as color options were limited there as well. Looking forward to receiving this stuff. Glad I happened to check in!

  3. Sorry, I was editing ... my modified response might address part of your question. The F&G enforcement folks ... OSP, in other words, have never asked that question. They sometimes ask what caliber or what scope I chose, never "why." ODFW has but it is pretty infrequent and it is an informal discussion, not an enforcement situation.

  4. In my book, you get all the strikes you need Patterson-Gimlin. As many strikes as everyone else until there is proof at hand- bullet or otherwise. The BFRO is not out to prove this creature real to anyone. If they do then they can wave to the Bigfoot and wave good-bye their precious expeditions all in one motion.

  5. The few interactions that I have had with their members were a bit... cringey. They definitely seemed to anthropomorphize the creatures and honestly came across as crazy cat ladies who had traded up in their obsession. Really no way to say that nicely although I don't mean it as an insult. I could be described as a crazy cat man myself in many ways. They seemed to be enjoying themselves, though, so there's that. Like Norseman, I am pro-kill, which seemed pretty repugnant to the ones that I met. They also seemed a bit confused about why someone would be involved with Bigfoot research WITHOUT being involved with the BFRO. Honestly, it seemed like they found a great deal of camaraderie in the group. It also seemed like many of them were not the sort of people who would normally get out into nature much, so being involved with the BFRO was probably beneficial to them. I am working off a pretty small sample size, to be honest. Between the pro-kill differences and not being much of a follower myself, I doubt that I will have a chance to interact with many more if them.

  6. NatFoot. I think your best bet is to see the colors on YT. Here is Elk Brown in their Belt Pack:

  8. I think they’ve done more good for this subject than bad, inadvertently or not. The tv show was just that, a tv show, no more and no less. Moneymaker gets a lot of bad press, some of it maybe warranted, but you can never knock the guys passion for the subject itself, and I respect that in a person even if I don’t necessarily agree with all he says. Their database deserves a heck of a lot of credit and praise too, and for that alone they get my thumbs up personally.

  9. Why not? Anyone who felt uncomfortable about attending due to Covid could just...not attend. There are large gatherings of people that occur daily across the nation. Why not Bigfoot conferences? That's the most politically neutral answer that I could give. Curious to see how this thread progresses

  10. The Original Kit Bag (V2). I'll have to take a picture. It contains three compartments. The one closest to my body contains my firearm and that's all I put in it. The one furthest from my body (outside of bag) is where I put my smartphone as it is in and out regularly when using GAIA. The center compartment is for everything else -- compass, bic lighter, car keys, leukotape, extra ammo, etc. http://www.hillpeoplegear.com/Products/CategoryID/1/ProductID/71

  11. Only reason I would wear the Snubby is if I was going to use it jogging. Probably not even then. The Snubby is basically for very small framed people who the larger bags would wrap around. No problem on the pics, man. I will get a few snapped off when I get home tonight. I will start a separate thread and tag you in it. The pictures may be of interest to anyone else thinking about getting one.

  12. That makes no sense unless they thought that bigfoot research included shooting BF. Just the concept that guns are only for hunting is not constitutional. Someone should have explained to the AST that the constitution supports gun ownership to protect citizens against a stupid overreaching government.

  13. All the above! Brings disrepute and hostility to the subject. Speaking only for myself, once indentified as a hoaxer, a person will never have any credibility on the subject again in my eyes.

  14. Hoaxing is lying. It's dishonesty. I dislike it.

  15. Discredits and hinders the search, that's for sure. It gives the skeptics another reason to disbelieve. I will not be a part of it. And though I will tease @Madison5716 verbally about dogman or even aliens, I will never fake some kind of "evidence" for humor's sake. My humor is more along the lines of bad puns and dad jokes. And then having to explain the jokes because they are so bad nobody else gets them.

  16. Is it not beyond the realms of possibility that National Parks are where they are because of BF?

  17. One thing and a couple of events have suggested to me that if the existence of BF is known, and they become a trophy kill for some segment of our society, BF will not simply let it quietly happen. They are near human enough that they will retaliate. No one armed or not would be safe in the woods or anyplace BF are close to. I wonder if some of the missing hunters are missing because they took a shot at BF. The government may even know how BF reacts, and decided that not admitting existence is the best course to take.

  18. The subject will never be taken seriously until you stop spreading this nonsense. No there are not any great apes in the eastern US.

  19. Killing Bigfoot is on par with Mountain Monsters. The GCBRO, seem group that backed MK Davis forever with his "charming" Massacre "Theory".

  20. Well the big example is the Ohio Conference, with a Mandatory 14 day Self Quarantine going to that state. Is the Bigfoot T shirt worth those 14 days?
