  1. Fires like these were partially worsened by the horrible snowpocalypse of 3 winters ago. The forests were TRASHED, i think every 5th tree looked diwn in the lowerelevations. Now, 3 years of dead, dry wood just went up in flames. NorthWind and I tried to retrieve game cameras last weekend, and all roads into the woods thataway were road blocked, with warnings. We found something better, though, but it's a secret until we explore further 😉 I know that feeling. I worked in Hollywood for a decade with big names and I have few photos. We were actively discouraged from taking pictures due to confidentiality issues and eliminating spoilers. Grrr....

  2. My two honey-hole areas contain several locations within each one so there are a number of options to choose from. The two areas are not connected and could not be traversed on foot. One of two areas always has me on edge. I'm never comfortable there. Both of two fellow sasquachers I go with say the same thing. None of us have ever had that feeling or sense on the other area. Go figure. @VAFooter - thanks for sharing

  3. Let me just clarify, I was talking about that particular linked page and the alleged retired military comments; NOT the Dennis Martin case in general. Yes, the impression I got as well were that the wildmen were mountain people who, for whatever reason, did not want to be found or bothered by civilization. If the person claiming to be retired military is on the up and up, it raises serious questions about the whole case. However, if you read the comments there are a number of folks who point out possible inconsistancies in his comments and claim that he is hoaxing. You can decide for yourself, I just thought it was an interesting slant on the case that I had not seen before, even though it was published in 2017.

  4. In one area local residents were stopping people going into the evacuation area to see if they had any business to go into the area. Trying to protect property. The sheriff said it is illegal to block a road and threatened to arrest the people. The same Sheriff that allowed BLM and Atifa to block the streets in Portland for months nearly every night. So apparently there are different rules for people depending on their politics and intent.

  5. I was watching the videos go up and then shortly come back down... People were filming black garbed individuals setting fires on purpose. Facebook and YouTube were pulling them down within minutes. Maybe I saw every single video that got put up or maybe I just saw a fraction. Maybe there were dozens setting fires or maybe there were hundreds. But, they WERE setting them. The scanner traffic also painted a very clear picture of what was going on.
