  1. It goes without saying that warmer-climate outdoor adventures are a lot more enjoyable. With that said, do you find any enjoyment going out in the woods looking for evidence when it is cold and maybe even snowy? I do and I'm heading out tomorrow for an overnight. Snow on the ground today and tomorrow-night lows around 23F. Actually not bad; maybe even balmy! In the past, I've accepted that better times were long gone and I too should hunker down and endure Old Man Winter. Not any more. Hunting season is over so there will be zero traffic in the woods. It's time to get out there and look for prints. A light snow cover provides the perfect opportunity. I'm not sure that something might be willing to visit me at night but we'll see. Anyone else looking forward to overnight cold-weather sasquatching and have you had any luck?

  2. Lol Well there's "redneck" and then there's just stupid. They are not always hand in hand, although there is some overlap.

  3. Holy crap. Notice the depth of that track? That is what we are seeing in North Georgia right now. Smaller bare footprints but DEEP. In areas where the terrain is littered with sharp rocks. Most modern Americans don't have the feet to walk the terrain up there barefoot. We found some smaller bare footprints around a small cave entrance on the side of a mountain here in SC. I sent one to Madison5716 to look at and she had very similar prints that she believed were juvenile Sasquatch. The toes were splayed a bit more than you would expect from a human foot. However, the ones that we have been finding recently over in North Georgia are not as splayed, but deep. Deeper than I can replicate with a pack on very sodden ground. We are not the only ones finding these either. We recently connected with a group that has been in this same area last year who has been conducting some non-Bigfoot related research in the woods there. They have also been finding deep child sized prints in areas where you wouldn't expect to find barefoot children. They are not 'Bigfoot people', so their immediate response is that there are children being abused and forced to hike barefoot. Who knows? They might be right. Maybe some hippy types who take their kids into remote areas to run around barefoot? That doesn't explain the depth of the prints though. Maybe the barefoot kids are carrying extremely heavy objects through very muddy ground?

  4. I am familiar with the term. It is my understanding that they are basically a cult group not raised by wolves. That is one reason for my concern about the small human like foot prints being from children. Hopefully,as I said they are from something else and not children. Perhaps small human adults. From my perspective there are lots of them. Of course small man apes would be great. If they exist. I hope so.

  5. I don't have the source. It was one of the documentaries where Erickson was interviewed directly. Came from him. When his field team collected samples (supposedly good ones from BF licking plates), Erickson is on record saying they could not find a lab willing to take it. No one wanted part of BF testing except Dr. Todd. Money was not the issue apparently or maybe the labs upped their price. I don't have the blow by blow on the decision making but it's all out there in various podcasts and documentaries.

  6. Meth-billies is a very amusing term which I will now incorporate into my vocabulary.

  7. I take it that you mean meth-billies and not actual 'raised by wolves' feral humans?

  8. I've been zapped and it manifested in pure panic, just a flutterly, icky feeling in my chest and stomach. Almost made me vomit. Definitely made me edgy and nervous - I actually slammed the door shut on my van and groveled on the floor crying for several minutes. Then it turned off like a light switch, and I returned to doing what I was doing previous to the attack. I think it's just infrasound. If it ever happens again, I'll be happy because I will know at least one of them is around. The game is on, then! And if it is intolerable, I'll politely ask them to stop.

  9. Oh, honey, we live in Oregon. There's rednecks and hippies who can redneck and hippie with the best of them out here! Plus an overabundance of meth heads who can't survive in society and linger on the edge. But they're not hunters or survivalists, they have to have access to busses so they can get food and social services. If any of them had children... well, they wouldn't be with them for long, they'd be in foster care. No one I know, and I know several social workers in the area well, would let "feral" people raise their children in the woods. The whole idea is not good. I find the print intriguing, much less the location. Look at the toe splay. That's not typical even for young children. We have found little prints, too. We have found them several times. We hope to get out there SOMETIME soon and see if they are still around, and see if they've grown. I find this print interesting, and I'd lean towards squatch babies. It's actually more reasonable than assuming a young human child is running around in the woods 300 miles from nowhere, barefoot and unaccompanied. I should make a bunch of comparison casts for you. As you probably know, I'm an assistant director at a preschool. When it warms up a bit, I bet I could get some of my 3 - 8 year old kids to step in mud so that I can cast it. Maybe I'll even let the school age kids do the mixing and pouring! They'd like that. That'll be my project. Then you can see what typical kids' feet look like and how casts turn out. @NatFoot That's the creepiest dude I've ever almost not seen.

  10. You must have never met redneck children like myself!😉

  11. And, like the prints @Madison5716and I have found, it seems unlikely to be an "intelligent" human track due to the fact there are fish hooks, broken glass and sharp metal trash around lakes.

  12. A Bigfooter who's gone feral?

  13. Hmmm.... Similar to the wild/feral people who supposedly live in Smokey Mountain National Park. The ones who were mentioned in the Dennis Martin case.

  15. Yes. Yeah, it's a short ways up the Collings Mountain trail. I'd driven by the trailhead, such as it is (a wide spot by the end of a guard rail), many times but finally went up there in ... I think it was 2015. That is an interesting area. Definitely. I used to camp up around McKenzie Pass a bit. I lived in Eugene from '89 to '96. I wish I had been thinking about bigfoot back then because I missed a lot of opportunities to look into amazing places. Thinking of the other thread going on about hoaxes, there was an utter BS account on PacWest Bigfoot a while back. Knowing the location, you'll understand why I call BS when they said they were parked at the campground on the edge of Linton Lake. I still try to get up there when it works out. I make a big loop .. head out of Medford, up I5 to Eugene, east on 126, then turn south up the South Fork of the McKenzie on FR 19 / Aufderheide Forest Drive, down into Oakridge/Westfir, south past Hills Creek Reservoir, up the Middle Fork, usually make side trips to Lake Timpanogas and Windigo Pass, then into Kelsay Valley, cross 138 and the North Umpqua River, usually take Fish Creek but sometimes other routes, into the head of the Rogue above Prospect and Union Creek, then to Medford and home. It usually takes 2-4 days. I stop and fish a lot, poke around. There are some old report locations I look into plus I have picked up probable bigfoot reports off of some outdoor forums I follow that are worth looking into. Sometimes, but not always, I go on up to McKenzie Pass while I'm there .. just depends on how much time I have. I have often thought that would be a fun few day drive to do at night with BFRO's big "R2D2" FLIR unit. MIB
