@Explorer they reached out to me. I was loosly in contact with cliff earlier in the year due to a report I was following up on that had just happened the day before. We sent him pictures of the casts etc. A lot of physical evidence was recorded, theres a thread on that area and the report here. I'll link it below. They were already in contact with me before I submitted for the contest so it was already in the works, and had been for several months apparantly. I took them into my research area since there were multiple reports for 2019 and 2020 that had taken place there, figured it was the best bet for any kind of real data collection here. Heres the other thread.2 points

https://www.thewrap.com/finding-bigfoot-the-search-continues-discovery-plus-video/ Well, the guys from Finding Bigfoot are back to make BF TV great again lol. I know a lot of people have their issues with BF TV but this was one of the best times ive had in years. Getting to go out on the overnight, in my research area, with the crew was amazing. I dont know about the other 2 locations they visit on the show but i know mine was red hot that night. I never go in guns blazing, im a passive observer in this area, but having the crew doing their quick and dirty methods to initiate responses paid off that night. Go check it out on Discovery+ FEB 8th.1 point

Hello Everyone, Grew up in Texas, I currently reside on Oahu. I've always had a life long interest in Bigfoot/Sasquatch since mid 70's. Never had a sighting/ encounter, but fascinated by the subject.1 point

They are well organized BUT... a wee bit to over commited to the pro kill scenario. There are other ways to get DNA for a baseline. An acquaintance also tried joining them a few years ago and was quite turned off by their arrogance. Any group in this research of a phenomenon that is so certain that they have it all figured out but dont have the goods should gain some scrutiny imo. Nobody gets a pass.1 point

Thank you for the kind words, wiiawiwb, and one can only appreciate what you've said regarding having an open mind to consider your sensitivity toward you fellow creatures in wild. Believe me, I do trust that researchers that conduct investigations in remote areas both truly enjoy being there for many reasons and are mindful of of being as benign a presence as possible. Thank you for getting that, not that you weren't aware of it before now. We are a part of Nature and as such, do have a right to be immersed in it. I love it as well. It's really a balancing act on our part since us being out there is a choice where the creatures that live there....well....they live there. As long as someone is treating their home as they would like their own to be treated then all is well. Yes, it's a fine point, but it's one I try to be mindful of in any decision to venture deep. More and more over the years I have backed off. Today I feel there are enough folks and activity out there that I don't need to be adding to it when my chances of experiencing a Sasquatch may be just as good. If they want to see a Human, I think they will find ME. I have changed a lot once I read and listened to podcasts about the nesting sites. If they are, or were birthing places then there is a need for when and where they are constructed. If they are built by Sasquatches then they've had to move on. Kind of sad when one considers the possible use of those structures in that they may be being built in a time of need. My hope is that if more are found that whoever finds them leaves the area immediately and never goes back. There is enough to study with what's already been discovered. Disrupting more would be a tragedy. Kind of off-topic since the nests aren't really in open areas so I apologize. And thank you for being patient with me, especially you, wiiawiwb.1 point

You're a very astute guy Hiflier, and I value your opinion, talent, and efforts, but I'm not sure we agree on this issue. Certainly, one would think that less intrusion is better than more intrusion. I'm just not convinced, at this point, that efforts of the few who do venture farther and deeper have, or has had, a negative impact on them. I fully acknowledge I could wrong about this and will keep an open mind as I travel alone in the backcountry. I'm a no-kill, do-no-harm advocate of sasquatch and would back off in a nanosecond if I was convinced it was truly detrimental to them.1 point

I suspect that human population growth pushes a sasquatch deeper into the remote areas. That said, I also suspect that in today's world that fewer people stray from the trail and go into those inner recesses of hard-to-access places. I'm only referencing my experience so this is merely anecdotal. If a sasquatch decides it wants to observe humans at night, it can venture closer to civilization and the choose the campsite residents of its choice to observe. Why take the chance? Why not choose those who stray into its world where it can settle nearby and watch-- on its terms and on its home field that it knows like the back of its hand? It's only a guess but I think a sasquatch would feel far more comfortable and get much closer to someone way out where others don't go, or never stay at night. The curiosity factor has to be through the roof. The closer it is willing to come, the better the chance of getting a sound recording or picking it up on thermal. I agree completely with Hiflier that going deeper does infringe on its territory and it does bother me a hair. I'm consoled knowing that even though I do, I know that few if any are going there especially at night. Maybe a sasquatch gets tired of talking with the misses every night and enjoys stray entertainment once in a while! I'm glad I can help!!1 point

Better quality. I'm not part of the "us" that bigfoot comes to in open fields. The interactions I've had in more populated places have been very tenuous / ambiguous. Those I've had out in deep woods tend to be less ambiguous. Why? I think because they feel safer and more in control "out there." Even if that were not the case, I LIKE wilderness, like getting away from people. In a very real sense, bigfoot is an additional benefit but not often the main purpose for being out there. MIB1 point

No, the tech simply isn't there now and may not be possible ever. The problem (I'm a programmer, computer science grad, IT guy ... so this stuff is in my area of expertise) is that a chip is not enough. A chip is a processor. To DO anything you have to also have a power supply and I/O devices for the processor. We don't have the capability to build power supplies of sufficient strength, sufficient life, that is small enough. Moreover, the smaller the I/O device is, the more power it takes to send the same signal over distance. In other words, we have conflicting limitations. The RFIDs we are most familiar with are passive, they can only be used at short range in the immediate presence of a scanner. A scanner capable of "reaching" a small device at great distance has to use a great deal of power ... cells / DNA subjected to that level of power break down (aka "cancer" ... same root mechanism as skin cancer from excessive UV radiation). We're not merely not there, but we can't get there, not with mere improvements in the current technology, it would require something entirely new, something that lies well into the realm of science fiction today. Some very smart people believe that life on earth is the result of transpermia. Life arrived on comets and icy asteroids debris left over from old star systems that had life. Others take it a step further and believe life on earth has been cultivated by alien intelligences. If either of these is true then sasquatch DNA may not be totally alien even if they have an other worldly origin. Life in this section of the galaxy could all be result debris from old star systems and genetically related to that system. That brings me to a very vivid dream I had after having several BF contacts. In the dream I was befriended by a female BF who led me to her family group who was having a gathering. The family patriarch was a huge grumpy old male. He did not like me there and let me know about it. I asked a friendlier younger family member if bigfoot were ET. The answer to the question was "No we are not from another world, you are" I suppose the dream could be because I enjoy watching the Ancient Alien series.1 point
