  1. Check out my signature line below. Living some 50 miles east of the easternmost extension of Glacial Lake Missoula at Gold Creek, I'm fascinated by this subject. Signs of the lake are abundant in Western Montana as seen in the following photos. Road cut on I-90 west of Missoula displays multiple beds of Glacial Lake Missoula, the strata showing the alternating summer and winter deposits. The satellite view of Camas Prairies where the ripples near the bottom center display the catastrophic emptying of the northern reaches of Lake Missoula towards the channel of the Clark Fork River visible near the top. The distances between the peaks of the ripples vary from roughly 150' to over 400'. To the west is mile long Rainbow Lake, gouged out of solid bedrock by the flood waters. Horizontal lines on mountain and hill sides around the entire area indicate old shore lines as the lake declined over dozens of repeated flood cycles with the retreating glaciers as the last ice age ended. They are nowhere more visible than on the slopes of Mount Sentinel (which I misspelled on the map title) over looking the City of Missoula. In the map below, the green line runs from Gold Creek to my home in the Elkhorn Mountains above Montana City south of Helena. I would be the last one to challenge Doodler's theory. Everything we "know" about our planet and its occupants from the dim reaches of the primordial past to the present day is made up of tiny snapshots over time and any of it can be turned on its ear literally overnight. Great thread sir!

  2. It's a shame that most evidence is locked away from the public, I understand ridicule but I feel people need thicker skin in that regard, if it wasn't mostly private there might be an advancement in the field because people would be able to read the data and come up with fresh, new ideas on how to capture better evidence. Hell, this whole mystery might've been solved by now. Having the same people gatekeep and control the narrative is not healthy in a scientific field.

  3. The BFRO is a business plain and simple, fueled by Moneymaker's fear of actually having to work a job, and since they don't make all reports visible, they are attempting to control much of the narrative. The community needs a workable alternative.

  4. Yep, and that nice space between Chimps and Ardipithicus is where I've been trying to place Patty's ancestors. It would mean that an early section along the beginning of that angled black line would have to show a new Last Common Ancestor before leading to another split, with Sasquatches-->Patty going one way, and Ardipithicus-->Modern Humans the other. Both lines would eventually become 100% bipedal. But only one would get to build, and then sit in, the International Space Station..

  5. It's not RIP. It's here... 1200+ John Green reports are now posted on this website, and you can search them in the SSR. https://bigfootforums.com/forum/160-john-greens-sightings-database/

  6. Hello, I’m from New Hampshire and have always been interested in all things unexplained, including Bigfoot. I joined the forums today hoping to find others in my area with similar interests as well as possible Bigfoot sightings.

  7. And any database that is kept current is a huge manpower drain. If I'm lucky, I can add a complete and accurate report to my northeast US database in a half-hour or so. Throw in the problems Norse & VAFooter noted with inaccurate reports, and it can take 3 hours to 3 days, sleuthing through old maps, old internet entries, etc. to try to find a more accurate location, more accurate date, etc. While it may be far from perfect, the BFRO database is a good free database. Premium members can access the SSR here. Hiflier has made John Green's (RIP) old database available as well.

  8. Hi, I'm from Salem, Mass and had a sighting about 5 years ago in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I have been interested in the subject of Sasquatch since a small child and thought I might be able to find out if anyone else has had sightings near where I did by joining this website.

  9. I have first hand knowledge of this skullduggery. Reports should be accurate in location. Which does NOT facilitate science. If I cannot find the same landmarks as seen in a presumed video or photo? I cannot measure it.

  10. Hmm. I honestly hadn't noticed it with older reports and often times could literally put a pin in my map in the yard on the correct side of the house in question. No! What I meant was, isn't that database of reported sightings? I was wondering what I was missing if the SSR is not a database of reported sightings. Wait - did the rules change while I was gone and we can't talk about in the non-premium section?? Is someone going to have to send a 'squatch assassin to my house now that I've let the secret out??

  11. Hi! I live in North Carolina. Though I live on the coast now my family still has a place in the mountains that I grew up going to every weekend. My family are a long line of hunters who here and there have had strange vibes while out on a hunt. Bigfoot has always been a topic in my family but no one ever really took an interest like me and my dad. My dad and I have drove around for hours on the Blue Ridge Parkway but Finding Bigfoot is really what brought on my obsession and belief.

  12. My family is not easily swayed. For instance my grandson has a saying "I need more proof". He applies it to almost everything and it became a family saying-joke. So my wife officially says no, likewise my oldest daughter, and son. But it was my grandson, my oldest daughter's son who saw a bigfoot and got the proof he needed. My oldest daughter says he saw something but doubts it was a bigfoot. I tell her I was there, but looking in the other direction at the time, and analysed the footprints (great prints) which almost fall outside the range of human variation. She is still a doubter. I say fine, you Lisa, my wife and son will all take point on a bigfoot search. That shuts them up completely.

  13. Two schools of thought and effort are active: Shoot one, and look for its DNA. Both methods have been on the table for at least ten years. Both have been close. Neither has succeeded (that we know of).

  14. There is a major disconnect in what the Bigfoot community calls evidence and what Biologists call evidence.

  15. I do not understand the common wealth. The basic premise of a hand gun is self preservation. It’s a very defensive orientated firearm. So by denying their citizens the right to carry a sidearm is to deny them of the fundamental right for self preservation. Anyhoo.... Ive owned a DE .50 AE. Very powerful, and very heavy. I found it defeating of the idea of a handgun. It rode on my hip on day one. Day two it hung off the saddle horn and by day three it was in a saddle bag. So what was the difference between it and a rifle riding in a scabbard? Zero. A pistol should be small, light and a constant comfortable companion. Like your wallet, watch or car keys. If it’s not? Your gonna find a excuse to leave it behind. If it’s not skookum enough for the job? Bring a long gun. The hot ticket item now is a Glock 10mm. I converted my 1911 to 460 Rowland. I find striker fired plastic pistols to have squishy yucky triggers. My 1911 is crisp and I shoot it better.

  16. I had an old pop-up camper I restored the last few years and took it out in the woods solo with just me and my best friend, a 100lb Great Dane/Lab mix. It was perfect for us and having him around really eased my mind. Sadly, he had to be put down last week after developing severe arthritis and a brain tumor at nearly 14 years of age. To be honest, the idea of being totally alone in the wilderness at night with no furry or non-furry companion is terrifying to me. I'm kind of a big sissy when it comes to the dark and the woods, lol. Last time I was out, some wolves came and checked out me and my dog. We both stayed close to the fire...

  17. They are well organized BUT... a wee bit to over commited to the pro kill scenario. There are other ways to get DNA for a baseline. An acquaintance also tried joining them a few years ago and was quite turned off by their arrogance. Any group in this research of a phenomenon that is so certain that they have it all figured out but dont have the goods should gain some scrutiny imo. Nobody gets a pass.
