  1. On Sunday I was at the creek where I had my sighting decades ago. The first and last photos are at the creek, el. about 1500', and the middle one is near the summit, near 4000'. The trees are all fully leafed and ground plants are green already.

  3. This one is really out there in northwest Washington state bigfoot country. Aug 28-29, 2021 Marblemount Community Hall State Route 20 Marblemount, WA 10-4PM $15 per day or $25 both days The speaker lineup currently is: Thom Cantrall Judy Carroll (Australia) Dr. Robert Alley Thomas Sewid Forrest Moon Seems like a rebrand of Cantrall's International Society for Primal People gathering which was kind of interesting. If I don't make it up there for this I may stream it to catch Dr. Alley. Hopefully, @joebeelart plans to attend or add himself to the speaker lineup? or (longshot) @BeansBaxter78

  5. All the way up at 800 to 1000' feet:) Down here at 60 feet, Poplars and birches have small leaves out, red maples are flowering. And Spring was early!

  6. It should loosen up with use over time. I really like the Opinel. It feels like it might float on water if dropped, but I haven't tried yet. Now I am inspired. I am going to try. Nope. She sinks. But just barely. I just filled up the sink and tried.

  8. In the middle pic., the brown ribbon at the base of the mountain across the valley is the mighty Fraser River, and my town is in the distant valley across the river in the upper right.

  13. Those are the perks of growing up in the forest foraging with my grand parents who used all those berries for various desserts, jams, wine, and moonshine. Im also a certified master naturalist and work with the state parks, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts etc and teach indentification and classification courses all the time so in short, im a forest nerd 😆. If you fish your probably familair with the creek chub family more than you realize, I didnt catch any for species ID but they looked like rubber lips and hornyhead/horned chubs. Species of fish related to carp that inhabit the cold creeks and streams especially here on the east coast. They can reach about 10in long and are very thick muscular fish great source of protien and fantastic bait for everything from crappie to catfish using the adult minnow.

  15. The bipedal locomotion is very similar to an experience I had. If anyone knows anymore about this I'd be interested in hearing about it.
