The best part of the Smeja stuff turned out not to be him allegedly shooting the x2 (which i think he did by the way and you can quote me on that all day, every day) because it ultimately could never be fully clarified even with the lie detector clearance, but the footage that was obtained by Bart Cutino in the subsequent investigations. One of my best buddies in the BF world was present for that and i fully trust his words of what happened that night without fail. That footage, in my belief, shows a lot of real interesting behavioural insight in to these things too, with the watching a camp from a distance and the rock thrown in to camp, specifically.

I have an ESEE 4 (green/orange) as well and they make excellent knives. I find myself leaving it home, more than not, as the ESEE IZULA neck knife does most of what I need. It obviously can't batton wood like the ESEE 4 but nowadays I try to gather small-sized wood for a fire anyway. Over the years, I've toyed with the idea of getting their Junglas, which is a beast. Could a Bigfoot climb a tree, sure they could but I’m not convinced they are swinging from tree to tree like described. If they have hands like us then they are not really set up for that. Plus the largest known tree dwelling animal is around 200lbs or less, then that jumps up to a creature 3x or 4x that weight? I’m not seeing it. To me it just adds yet another ability to BF. Next they’ll be leaping tall buildings in a single bound. The foot morphology, if casts are to be considered do not appear lend themselves to extensive tree swing or climbing either.

Best to discount anything from Robert Lindsay. He seems to be a self appointed misinformation machine for unknown reasons. Some say he was hired to spread lies, some say he does it on his own. Any way it is looked at the guy is off the rails.
