  1. Dr. J. Robert Alley is a Anthropologist, renowned author, and Sasquatch researcher who gave his presentation at the Metaline Falls Town Hall Meeting of the evidence of BigFoot in Northwest Native Cultures, including testimonies of sightings of Sasquatch both by Native Tribes and his own personal experiences. 2. It's a bit on the lean side at around 145 pages or so (but so is my book) however, the encounters featured in it are some very good ones. There are 25 "new" reports from southeast Alaska, Canada and Washington as well as some illustrations to go with them. Good breakdowns of the consistent behavior displayed before each encounter and an excellent mix of "scary" benign and circumstantial encounters.

  3. I have a few...but I think my most favoritist are my signed copies of Raincoast Sasquatch and Brushes of Bigfoot. I just got them signed by J. Robert Alley at the Metaline Falls Bigfoot Festival.

  4. new here, just seeing what some more experienced investigators have to say. I usually hike the Dalles in Oregon or head into eastern Washington.

  5. Thanks, Norseman, Yes, I am familiar with those. The Ice Caves are very cool (pun intented). So sure, there are some, but not like, say WV or KY or OK or the lahars in WA. Maine really doesn't have all that many.

  7. I guess my favorite would have to be my 1974 photo of the actual site where the Patterson film was shot. Although I had spent the month of May in 1972 at Bluff Creek, well actually Orleans but made the drive to the sandbar maybe 6 or 8 times. Really regret not taking notes but I was only 23 at the time and thought I knew a lot about the Bigfoot. Spent most of the month just looking at the whole Bluff Creek stream. Had thought Bigfoot Creek was where the film was taken. Late May a forest ranger told me about the sandbar. It was quite the adventure at the time and have no regrets at all about looking for Bigfoot. I do remember going to Al Hodgson's store and meeting him. He was very helpful and said he would have people there if I found anything. He also sold John Green's book at the time which I of course bought! After being there for that month without finding anything I thought I would call Roger Patterson himself and see if he could give me any advice. You can imagine how I felt when a lady answered and said he had passed away a short time before! After that I decided to end my trip. I later moved to Oregon in 1973 and worked there until 1979. Looking back I wouldn't change a thing! Also another thanks to Bill here on the forum for reversing my original photo and to Sweati Yeti for confirming that was indeed the site!

  8. Someone I know is considering some research into caves. I got curious about that and so went on the USGS's site which maps cave maps for each state. I selected Maine and got a message: I know there are a small few but not enough apparently to get the USGS excited. Top state for caves? Tennessee. Second top state? Minnesota with 7,300. So if there are no caves in Maine it would seem that Bigfoot might only pass through and not have a large resident population? Or maybe ANY resident population? The number of reports might suggest that that may be true. Lots have been discussed regarding how Sasquatch deals with brutally hot summer conditions and brutally cold winter conditions. In Maine they may deal with those factors but just moving on and not being around in such extremes.

  9. general admission is sold out over 3 months in advance: https://www.porta.us/mfbf.html. It's a small venue to begin with, probably limited attendance due to protocols.

  10. If you've never been, this is the big one. The one that started it all. The 60th Annual Bigfoot Daze Celebration takes place on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 in Willow Creek, California. 60 years! That means the fest is older than the PGF. Saturday Morning starts with a downtown parade at 10am followed by an ice cream social at the China Flat Museum. The festival is held in Veterans Park with food, retail vendors, music and activities. There are tons of fundraisers for local nonprofits as well. + Car Show Softball Tournament Waterslides, Bounce House and Rock Wall Horseshoe Tournament Adult and Kids Bikes Games Bigfoot Call Contest Watermelon Eating Contest Logging Competition
