  1. If we are up against the forces you seem to imagine, and they have decided discovery isn't going to happen, then discovery isn't going to happen. You have to hope they're not quite that organized and detailed otherwise the game is already over before it starts. Realize something: this is a public forum. Every single thing you put on here is available to everyone to read. EVERYONE. Including those hypothetical people out there who are trying to thwart your efforts. By putting your plans, or asking others to put their plans, on here on the forum you're setting people up to fail because when those plans hit the public internet .. like here .. it gives "them" time to anticipate your moves, prepare for them, and defeat you without you ever knowing there was a fight. If you truly believe all this stuff, and you still want to prove existence, the first thing you have to do is keep your big mouth shut rather than tip your hand giving "the enemy" all of the advantage and you none. This is why I wonder sometimes if you're not part of the conspiracy to keep bigfoot secret 'cause you keep nudging people in ways that lead them to spill their plans. That means you're part of the mechanism that lets "them" stay a couple moves ahead of the researchers .. intentional or otherwise. Think about it. It's a chess game. You don't win by giving your opponent your strategy before the game starts. MIB

  2. I have thought about this over the years… I have mentioned this on here before, but an interest of mine is odd news articles that gain nationwide attention only to completely drop out of sight immediately afterwards. Remember the ‘mystery primate’ that was attacking children and pets in Texas? It was local, then regional, then national news in short order. Then, the story just disappeared. Even if the extremely short attention span of the national news moved on to something else, an aggressive mystery monkey would certainly remain of local interest. But, the story just disappears and the world moves on to the next strange story. My point is this… we never did find out if it was an escaped chimp or something else. We never found out if it was captured, killed, or it just disappeared. Was it a juvenile Sasquatch? We would never know if it was. Obviously, people’s attention had moved on to something new and no one ever seemed to ask how the situation was resolved. Someone could contact the press that they had a Sasquatch body. Alert their local university. And the government could swoop in with dead chimp, swap it out, say that it had escaped from a private owner only to be shot by some paranoid Bigfoot enthusiast, and the story would be accepted and forgotten… never be revisited except by some weirdos on the internet like us. They wouldn’t even have to try very hard. I don’t even think that they would have to threaten you or be worried about what you said afterwards. ‘See, Bigfoot is real. I shot one, but the government swept in, took the body, and left a dead chimp in its place.’ Who would believe your story?

  3. Wow, just got back in and started to read some of this stuff. Look, it's your sandbox, I'm just a guest and will abide by the rules. But, looks like a few of the mean girls want to throw sand. I was going to add a bit more info but now, not sure I'll stick around for that kind of snark, but for the time being , will answer a few sincere questions. I have no problem shufflin' along and go dark if I'm going to be forced to trudge through attitudeville. BlackRockBigfoot: USFS Rangers normally go pretty light, with a sidearm, and bear spray. like I said earlier an assault type shotgun for bear protection and maybe an issued pocket camera. Not until now did I see them carrying large backpacks. I don't know what kind of camera they were using, but it looked awfully big and expensive (see my pocket camera comment). Will I contact the Forest Service? Absolutely not. About a year ago I approached their office, tried to be coy about my knowledge of the clan, I was trying to test if the USFS knew of the existence of such a creature. Was pretty much laughed out of their headquarters. Besides, I have a deep distrust for any and all govt. LEO types. gigantor: that is a very interesting chart but many of the depictions don't even come close. But, the pics that do, very uncanny accuracy. I will match up that list with the members of the clan - Alpha Male - #36 Adult Female - #12 Young Juvenile/Adult - #1 Very Young - #20

  6. Just got back from 3 days at location "X" and with the 90 degree heat, even at 8,500' elevation, it was a tough trip. Add the dense smoke from the NorCal and Oregon fires and I probably should of stayed home. In those 3 days, I was at least able to spot and observe the alpha male 4 times. Always by the cool water of a mountain stream. I'm not sure if they spotted me, but I did observe some uniformed park service employees (rangers?) in the general area photographing some tracks. This confirmed my suspicion that the govt. is in the know. With the poor conditions for man and beast, I cut the last two days of the trip and backpacked out of the wilderness to relief both myself and the clan from any added stress and pressure. Ran smack into a grizzly bear going up the trail I was going down but luckily he darted into the brush instead of running me over. I would not of had time to pull out the bear spray so I feel lucky. Downloading some of the images and footage in the sanctuary of my home is enjoyable, though. When the heat lowers and smoke dissipates I will be trekking back up the mountain.

  7. Welcome to the forum @TravelingFooter You made very big entrance with claims of pictures of a clan. So you can understand why some of us might get the way that we get. It is hard not to be critical when you make claims like this. I am not trying to be mean or nothing. Since I have gone through this same process when I came out with my encounters. I have posted pictures of what evidence I had . You bet ! I was torn to pieces by everyone. But I stood my ground. The one thing that we are all looing for is the truth. What ever it may be. So do not give up on everyone. Stick to your ground . Your photo's is proof to your testimony of what you seen.

  8. Welcome TravelingFooter! Don't get discouraged by the snark, Lots of folks are jaded by all the codswallop one gets subject to in this field. Standard fare devolution into "hoax til proven legitimate" syndrome. Can't blame them really but if you stick around, you'll find it's mostly a hospitable crowd.... Now where are those pics dammit:) I jest, when, if, you are ever inclined, you have an interested audience on the edge here. And thanks for relating some of your experience.

  9. Very few in sasquatchery agrees with me, so I think you're quite incorrect. On the other hand, many people have tried to prove existence, and they have all failed despite producing enough evidence to warrant funded investigation. Pay close attention, please: I encourage you to fight hard for what you believe, but it seems to me that those within sasquatchery who measure success with just good quality interaction with these creatures fare much better than those trying to fix a humanity that simply refuses to be fixed.

  12. I’m with wooly burger on this (obviously). We should be working with scientists on this instead of building them as imaginary boogeymen in our heads. There is no clear reason anyone would want to cover up the existence of Sasquatch. Has anyone actually sent any of the SSR data to any researchers? I did check out a little bit of gigantofootecus’ posts and I believe they are worth at least something. Truth be told none of what little I did read is irrefutable and it doesn’t really solve the fundamental question but it is novel and if we combined it with other similar efforts it may prove to be actually worthwhile to a lot of scientists. When I came into this subject I thought at most there were a couple thousand reports and now it’s looking like there over 5x as much. I never realized how much there actually was to this topic and most people when you even mention Bigfoot look at you like you’re a weirdo. I’ve even told UFO people about it and they skoff at the idea. What is the primary way they are collecting this data hiflier?

  13. Sorry, but I don't think Dingy Harry, or any other politician for that matter, is going to help us here. The scientists are the people we need to convince. And the way to do so is to present them with the facts. I am of the opinion that the facts as they exist are enough to convince all but the most die hard scofftics (i.e. those who are either willfully blind or heavily invested in the skeptical narrative) of the species probably existence. Of course, most scientists refuse to take even a cursory look at the evidence. It is our job to convince them that the evidence is worth examining. One way would be a typed report summarizing all of the major pieces of evidence obtained from the pre-Bigfoot era up to the present day.

  14. Well, this thread has derailed spectacularly. I don't think it can be salvaged.

  16. That works both ways; many sasquatch sightings could be misidentified as bear sightings, specially since so many in science work so feverishly to discount the very existence of sasquatches. Who could blame somebody for doing so, believing that since sasquatches don't exist, that must be a huge, funny looking bear walking on two legs. Now, I must admit that's the first time I've read that claim despite over 20 years on this forum reading all kinds of claims from all manner of experts. Would you call that a scientific claim? On what would you base such a claim? I'm still waiting for most of official science to admit anything on this evidence.

  18. Total isolation? Like North America? And I would check your dates. 50k is not a hard and fast rule and it appears many species of the Genus Homo other than Sapiens made it to much more recent times. Not counting Sasquatch of course who supposedly is still extant. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denisovan

  20. The amateur psychologist in me says that: 1) This black bear/gorilla/leopard expert has no idea what you are referring to 2) If he ever delves into Bill's and Gigantofootecus' work, he'll have already filled his mouth with his own feet and will refuse to back away from his previous words 3) And he will figure the above out rather soon, disappear, and then maybe try again under a new name some time in the future

  21. I thought he was providing good food for thought with references as well. It’s not as common anymore for someone to make a case and provide some sort of backing. Maybe this forum doesn’t encourage debate anymore?

  22. How do we know what the typical BF looks like? That is always the case, camera is juuuust out of place. Lends me to believe there is some Tom Foolery and skullduggery going on.

  23. Not oversimplifying anything, just asking a question. Because it very much isn't settled whether it is someone in a costume and no matter how high quality a video is (the PG film is not), you cannot extrapolate measurements without a defined reference point for which there is none in the video. I have of course read some analysis, and back and forth on the subject but I am by no means an expert on the PG film so I I will take your advice and see what some of the discussions here have to offer. LMAO did you just unironically do that? I'm so sorry I'm challenging your beliefs. It must be so difficult for you.

  24. How could you actually deduce intramembral ratios from a grainy/blurry/shaky video? Giving the benefit of the doubt though a costume would still confound those measurements. Also are you sure those figures are correct? I'm 5'9 and my shoulder width is 22". Though I was a carpenter for 2 or 3 years. Stop. You literally called me pathetic earlier and he just "sighed" at me, was that not condescending?
