  1. I happen to have an interest in all matters related to Jack The Ripper. Exactly who was the most famous mass murderer of all times? There is a forum where exceedingly knowledgable people post questions, or information, and others, similarly endowed, provide answers or opinions---much like here. Were I to go on the Ripper website and, right from the start, make claims that I had thousands of pages of Ripper documents and photographs, I would be met with a healthy bit of skepticism. Those claims are received much differently from someone who has presented himself/herself and has become known to those similarly-minded people on the forum. For those who may remember, in the 1980s there was an EF Hutton TV commercial telling folks they did it the old fashion way. They earned your trust. So it is with many aspects of life. In my opinion, the bigger the claim, the more responsibility one bears especially when you haven't introduced yourself to your fellow readers. Who doesn't wish to be courted before being asked?

  2. Uh...You've shot down the credibility of the PGF, probably more investigated than Zapruder by now and 98% of the "database" and we're to take you at your word? As the end all, be all, self proclaimed, sole holder of the totality of Sasquatch wisdom? Come on man, that's no way to make an entrance. Ditch the bravado and hubris and try again. Show us what you have without putting nearly every other witness into the bin eh

  4. You can make any claims that you want, but you have to realize that you are in a field with tons of claims and not a lot of corroborating evidence. I have had minor stuff happen that I didn’t get on camera or audio. I might mention it, but I certainly don’t fault anyone for not taking me at face value. And that’s for minor stuff like hearing strange wails…nothing major like claiming to have thousands of pics or being visited by the feds. I hope that the OP sticks around and provides some of his evidence, but no one should expect to have everyone blindly believe them…whether they have a far out there woo story or an account of ongoing experiences with Bigfoot clans and federal interference. I am open minded, but a certain level of skepticism isn’t unhealthy. Regardless of your theories on the nature these creatures, you have to admit that this field has been plagued by hoaxes on both sides of the flesh and blood/woo coin. It is human nature to be a bit on guard.

  6. I just came home from emergency appendectomy at my local hospital. Had to wait hours in pain, in the ER cue. Just glad they diagnosed appendicitis quickly once I got a CT scan. I was able to get pain meds and fluids intravenously until I got into surgery, which was laparoscopic — no big cut, just 3 little incisions. I was out in time to go home for the night. I really feel for anyone who gets appendicitis or any other health emergency while off hiking somewhere. Do any of you who go deep outback have a “Plan B” for getting to hospital?

  8. The place does flare up with a rash of egomania from time to time but the culprits either tone down or disappear because they can't get the stroking they thrive on. But don't let them get to you. Yes, there is often a bit of a hazing process when presenting one's experience if new but it's worth going through. There is a great knowledge bank here with plenty of good folks that far outweigh the eejits.

  9. Did they attempt to physically detain you? Maybe gently grasping your lower extremities, tugging on your leg? Like you're now pulling ours?

  10. Being new myself, my take is you have to establish a bit of yourself, your research and experiences before claiming anything. That's normal. Other sites like reddit are a free for all. This place has a collection of knowledgeable folks and can spot a far fetched claim pretty easily.

  14. Come on ! You are talking about Bigfoot. Who is not going to have an ego . But no it should not be about ego. It should be about what the Guide Lines state: This is why The BFF exist. This is why the Harsh treatment. Right now todays BFF is a nice BFF. Compared to it was when I first joined. It was a gauntlet to post anything Bigfoot. Hyper critical. But now there are confident people who have research these creatures and know. This includes the woo. But this is flesh and blood and that's where it should stand.

  15. Hmmm...Mossedegh, Gen. Kassam, Allende, JFK, MLK, Malcolm X, The Mujahideen, dare I say 9/11? A lot of big events were deftly covered up and kept secret for long periods of time. If we're dealing with anyone here, they ain't amateurs.

Your opinions are no less valuable than anyone else's. You may have to get used to people with less knowledge than you thinking their YouTube video clips substantiate their position but overall, if you make a case, I would suggest standing by it.

  18. I understand that but if you notice, at least the folks I have interacted with( not here ), that have had experiences are not so keen to give up everything or try to prove anything because of the naysaying and the know it all's. this community is broken. That's the barrier. For myself I was expecting to find more folks that I can relate to here. Not the case. Maybe pull up MIB and his point of view and that's a good example.

  22. The exact same claim has been heard in Southeast Alaska over the past century.
    1 point
  23. It does seem unlikely, but after considering how things have been going over the past century or so, and the nature of the phenomenon itself, I have come to believe that government can keep this under wraps. This video demonstrates how people involved with the phenomenon can discredit it even mire efficiently than government can. All the officials have to do is help them make idiots of themselves. That said, as video technology improves and is more available and prevalent among just about everyone in the woods, the likelihood that indisputable evidence will eventually be produced grows...........

  24. You could. But, if you were already on the government radar, what would you do with it? Mail it to Jeff Meldrum? Samples have supposedly been lost or even replaced when mailed. Try to find a local scientist to test it? I think that our government, like all governments, is a weird blend of ruthless efficiency and lazy stupidity. The people who man the IRS 1-800 numbers probably wouldn’t be the one keeping lids on secrets that they want to remain hidden. They kept the UAP phenomenon solely on the lunatic fringe of public opinion for decades. Leaks were laughed off as crazy talk, until the activity grew beyond what they were able to successfully minimize. Maybe one day the Sasquatch phenomenon will do the same. There has been some private discussion between members of this forum on how to best handle a body of one found themselves in possession of it. Whether those efforts would be successful would depend on how thoroughly the government is monitoring the efforts to prove the existence of these things, if they are monitoring them at all.

  25. Don't be fooled by the quintessential Roger and Gimlin bigfoot with the pointy head, that was nothing more then a man in a size XXXXXL bobtailed monkey suit. My observations show a creature with a rounded head and they act very ape like. The adults walk up on two legs, wobble around and swinging long arms, very much like a chimp or gorilla. The youngsters are about half on two legs and half on all fours, just like great apes. They are also not 10 to 12' tall, the alpha male is probably 6.5'. All of them can climb trees like you wouldn't believe. they don't 'zap' you with ultravoilet, invisible rays, they can't detect hidden trail cams and they don't fly off in ufo's. I've never heard or seen a 'tree knock'. From what I can tell, they are omnivorous They have their own language and speak to each other quite a bit. I have hours and hours or recordings and don't understand any of it I don't get very close to them, ala that Timothy guy in Alaska amongst the bears (who ended up being eaten) but they are very curious of me. when I go up to their territory and am not seeing them, I have a little trick to draw them out. They like soft music. On my phone, I'll play "hello, is it me you're looking for" by Lionel ritchie. often the entire clan comes exposes themselves by coming towards me. Why that song? I dunno, it was my little way to entertain myself but , hey, it's works. I'm not implying that the clan is a big Lionel Ritchie fan......but maybe they always grooved to the Commodores (sorry, lame joke here to lighten the mood).

  26. I have thought about this over the years… I have mentioned this on here before, but an interest of mine is odd news articles that gain nationwide attention only to completely drop out of sight immediately afterwards. Remember the ‘mystery primate’ that was attacking children and pets in Texas? It was local, then regional, then national news in short order. Then, the story just disappeared. Even if the extremely short attention span of the national news moved on to something else, an aggressive mystery monkey would certainly remain of local interest. But, the story just disappears and the world moves on to the next strange story. My point is this… we never did find out if it was an escaped chimp or something else. We never found out if it was captured, killed, or it just disappeared. Was it a juvenile Sasquatch? We would never know if it was. Obviously, people’s attention had moved on to something new and no one ever seemed to ask how the situation was resolved. Someone could contact the press that they had a Sasquatch body. Alert their local university. And the government could swoop in with dead chimp, swap it out, say that it had escaped from a private owner only to be shot by some paranoid Bigfoot enthusiast, and the story would be accepted and forgotten… never be revisited except by some weirdos on the internet like us. They wouldn’t even have to try very hard. I don’t even think that they would have to threaten you or be worried about what you said afterwards. ‘See, Bigfoot is real. I shot one, but the government swept in, took the body, and left a dead chimp in its place.’ Who would believe your story?

  27. Wow, just got back in and started to read some of this stuff. Look, it's your sandbox, I'm just a guest and will abide by the rules. But, looks like a few of the mean girls want to throw sand. I was going to add a bit more info but now, not sure I'll stick around for that kind of snark, but for the time being , will answer a few sincere questions. I have no problem shufflin' along and go dark if I'm going to be forced to trudge through attitudeville. BlackRockBigfoot: USFS Rangers normally go pretty light, with a sidearm, and bear spray. like I said earlier an assault type shotgun for bear protection and maybe an issued pocket camera. Not until now did I see them carrying large backpacks. I don't know what kind of camera they were using, but it looked awfully big and expensive (see my pocket camera comment). Will I contact the Forest Service? Absolutely not. About a year ago I approached their office, tried to be coy about my knowledge of the clan, I was trying to test if the USFS knew of the existence of such a creature. Was pretty much laughed out of their headquarters. Besides, I have a deep distrust for any and all govt. LEO types. gigantor: that is a very interesting chart but many of the depictions don't even come close. But, the pics that do, very uncanny accuracy. I will match up that list with the members of the clan - Alpha Male - #36 Adult Female - #12 Young Juvenile/Adult - #1 Very Young - #20

  29. If we are up against the forces you seem to imagine, and they have decided discovery isn't going to happen, then discovery isn't going to happen. You have to hope they're not quite that organized and detailed otherwise the game is already over before it starts. Realize something: this is a public forum. Every single thing you put on here is available to everyone to read. EVERYONE. Including those hypothetical people out there who are trying to thwart your efforts. By putting your plans, or asking others to put their plans, on here on the forum you're setting people up to fail because when those plans hit the public internet .. like here .. it gives "them" time to anticipate your moves, prepare for them, and defeat you without you ever knowing there was a fight. If you truly believe all this stuff, and you still want to prove existence, the first thing you have to do is keep your big mouth shut rather than tip your hand giving "the enemy" all of the advantage and you none. This is why I wonder sometimes if you're not part of the conspiracy to keep bigfoot secret 'cause you keep nudging people in ways that lead them to spill their plans. That means you're part of the mechanism that lets "them" stay a couple moves ahead of the researchers .. intentional or otherwise. Think about it. It's a chess game. You don't win by giving your opponent your strategy before the game starts. MIB

  32. Semantics .. shades of gray. I think we can attract their attention, lure in that sense, but they make a conscious choice about how, and whether, to react. When it comes to bigfoot, we compel nothing. It is safer for us that way. Critters that have been lured in can become aggressive when they find themselves frustrated, surprised, etc unable to actually obtain the bait that drew them in. I don't want to deal with that especially in the context of bigfoot. MIB

  34. Hello everyone. I'm from the UK. I decided to join this forum because I appreciate the thought the moderators have put into defining the operating terms - very fair. I also appreciate that the site takes the angle that bigfoot is flesh and blood, rather than paranormal. It's good not to make the range too wide (bigfoot is complicated enough as it is!) I hope the paranormalers find their own safe space.

  35. Question the assumptions of the .. question. In other words, does bigfoot have to do anything extraordinary to find a mate? If they are wood knocking, vocalizing back and forth, if we are finding various sizes of tracks together, it would suggest they are not alone. The mixture of sizes of tracks sometimes found together suggest different ages and possibly different sexes. The reported gatherings ... would provide an opportunity for those not normally in the same area to meet. Most likely, even if they aren't part of the same clan / group, groups that occasionally occupy the same area probably know much about the others' travels, locations at different times. So ... maybe we're imagining a challenge for that that does not actually exist. MIB

  39. I’m with wooly burger on this (obviously). We should be working with scientists on this instead of building them as imaginary boogeymen in our heads. There is no clear reason anyone would want to cover up the existence of Sasquatch. Has anyone actually sent any of the SSR data to any researchers? I did check out a little bit of gigantofootecus’ posts and I believe they are worth at least something. Truth be told none of what little I did read is irrefutable and it doesn’t really solve the fundamental question but it is novel and if we combined it with other similar efforts it may prove to be actually worthwhile to a lot of scientists. When I came into this subject I thought at most there were a couple thousand reports and now it’s looking like there over 5x as much. I never realized how much there actually was to this topic and most people when you even mention Bigfoot look at you like you’re a weirdo. I’ve even told UFO people about it and they skoff at the idea. What is the primary way they are collecting this data hiflier?

  40. Your descriptions not only don't match the Patterson-Gimlin Film (which you claim is a hoax without providing any evidence for your own alleged sightings) they don't match any in the entire database. Those are some pretty big red flags you're setting off my friend.

  41. Is there a reddit group or FB group where you are practicing writing stories and then dropping it in here to get a laugh out of how people react? You might have had better luck if you had used Melendez and Rictor. That would have been amusing.
