  3. These two sightings separated by ~43 years got me wondering if they are the same BF and if so how long do these guys live. http://squatchable.com/report.asp?id=1177 At first, I was not sure whether I was looking at an animal's head or a person's head. I remember it was rounded at the bottom and more elongated towards the top. It seemed a little bigger than mine and was covered with short silvery-gray hair. Its face seemed human with a flat nose, its eyes were small and dark. It made no sound. After a few seconds of silent starring, it turned towards the road and began moving quickly. It seemed to be running on all fours at first; but after about 10 yds. it stood up on just two legs and continued to scamper until it crossed the road and then disappeared into the woods. I would guess that it was about 6-7' tall. It's frame was very large from the hips up and it was covered with shaggy silvery-gray hair. http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=71801 IT HAD THE FACE OF AN APE WITH A 'BUMP' ON TOP OF IT'S HEAD. THE FUR WAS LONG AND LOOKED WHITE...KIND OF LIKE A DIRTY WHITE SHAGPILE CARPET. AFTER READING THE REPORT FROM THE PERSON WHO SAID IT WAS SILVER, THAT COULD BE TRUE AS I WAS SEEING IT FROM JUST MOONLIGHT AND VEHICLE HEADLIGHTS. IT WAS INDEED ABOUT 6-7' TALL BY MY BEST ESTIMATE. Gorilla's reportedly live for more than 50 years in the wild. Humans males in developed countries live roughly 70 years. https://gorillafacts.org/how-long-do-gorillas-live/ Of course this could simply be the case of someone reading a BF report and copying it but either way my question is still the same. How long do you think these guys live. My guess is it is somewhere between humans and gorillas so I am putting the over/under at 69 years. Thoughts?

  8. Hello fellow Bigfoot enthusiasts! My name is Erika and I am from south Texas. I have been on a huge bigfoot kick as is Kate and trying to find out everything I can about it. I listen to bigfoot related podcasts every morning and have been looking throughout the net to see what I can find out about the subject. I joined the forum because this has to be one of the best places to see photos and hear encounters, I assume.

  9. Never really left the subject totally, but I moved beyond the absolute obsession that almost drove me nuts the first three years. Then my job really preoccupied my attention. Still I listened to the noises around me, and ever since I bull rushed the marsh one morning we have heard little that would be of note, but the other night we had a good fire in back next to the marsh and we heard something of a holler that got a coyote response, years of hearing those told me the first holler was possibly not coyote, it again sounded human, but they can fool you at times that way, not a whoop like the first incidents.

  10. Sunflower, that is something that has interested me for years. There are a lot of accounts from rural folks from all over the Southeast who have had overprotective dogs killed, or severely injured gruesomely by basically being skinned alive by bigfoot. On the other hand, bigfoot have accepted the presence of some dogs and have apparently came into physical contact with them peacefully on a routine basis. While doing field work in South Alabama, reports I investigated indicated both kinds of interactions between the two species was not at all uncommon. It just didn't make sense to me until I talked to several older Black folks who lived in a very rural area of Marengo County fairly close to the Tombigbee River. (I was referred to some of the folks by Black residents of adjoining Clarke County who had talked to me about their own encounters and who had relatives living there.) When the people in the small community began telling me about BF that routinely came around at night checking for food - scraps from the dinner table and scraps from the butchering of hogs, chickens, goats and deer - they mentioned that sometimes grown dogs would be killed with a club by the bigfoot if the dogs would not back off when the bigfoot approached. The interesting and somewhat amusing thing was that they stated if there were small pups involved, the bigfoot would either let the pups share the food with them, or just stand docilely by and watch the pups eat. They told me that after eating their fill, some of the pups would stay and watch the bigfoot eat. At other times the bigfoot would carry off a small pup, and release it sometimes later. The people said the pups that were picked up by the bigfoot, or one that followed the bigfoot off into the wood line, would return that night or the next day "smelling worse than a pan of burnt collard green and a rotten egg". That community of people knew one of the male bigfoot from the time it was a baby clinging to its mother's back until it became old, gray and decrepit at the age of about 52. They studiously avoided striking him early in the morning or just before dark with their automobiles at the typical spot on the road leading to the community where he routinely crossed. Just before he was last seen, they stated they would have to come to a near stop to allow him time to cross the narrow road.
