  1. We've had no takedown requests. Also, they released the images to the public when they distributed them on the internet, can't put the genie back in the bottle....

  2. Thank, gigantor, I agree if removing images from the BFF was requested they wouldn't be here. What I was getting at was that I looked for the images on both the Olympic Project's website as well as Cliff Barackman's and no longer found them. So in deference to that I figured they had their reasons for limiting access to the photos and so followed suit out of respect for them. But now......

  3. Found it in my camera settings on the phone. HEIC is a "high efficiency" setting, apparently needed for 4K formats. I've turned it off, and set it to "most compatible", which will use jpeg files, so my next pics should post up so we can all see them in the thread. I had no idea my new Iphone 13 had that weird default setting before I took the pics in my trip post above.

  4. My wife has "crab toes". She can pinch you with her toes. It's hell when she zaps you for some "fun" or uses that skill to stop your snoring...

  5. My feet are stumps. The five toes move as one. My wife picks up things with her feet. So the grand daughter gets it from my wife I guess.

  7. The North American Bigfoot Center tweeted out this pic of a soon to be ready display of a nest from the O.P. site. I've listened to Derek Randall and found the whole project very intriguing. It"d be fascinating to see one of the nests up close.

  8. Pretty sure they were boating in Puget Sound to access the locations in the second half of season 2. I think the first season was Oregon and the first half of season 2 was in Kentucky.

  9. Crossed the PO river at Usk. Went up Skookum creek. And then south to Indian creek and Marshall lake. The lake is still froze over. And really cannot access the NF yet. Just bumped along the border in a few spots. Saw turkeys and whitetails.

  10. The discovery of the nests on the Olympic Peninsula are very intriguing to say the least. Hopefully the eDNA results will yield some interesting information. It's pretty cool that they did a recreation and are allowing people to view the display. Bigfoot or not, these nests are certainly noteworthy and deserve scientific study.

  11. Sweet! And adorable! Congrats! I can splay my toes on one foot but not the other.

  14. My daughter, 10 years old, walks around barefoot and in sandals lot. Her toes splay out pretty impressively, too.

  15. My great grand daughter has splayed toes also and two divergent big toes. One is about a half inch from the next toe and the other foot about 3/8 of an inch gap between it and the text toe.

  16. Mrs. Huntster can still do that. When I first saw her do it when we were dating, I thought she was weird.

  17. What a cutie! Grandpa must be ruining a bunch of shirts with his pride making his chest puff up so much. Also, I'm on my feet all day. I wish I could give mine a good stretch like she can.

  18. Also, book I would not recommend is Bigfoot Nation lol. I bought it purely becuase it was David "puma punku" Childers book from ancient aliens and got it signed lol. The book touts a few known hoaxes as actual sightings, that were busted by the time he wrote the book btw. So he really phoned it in on this one lol. My #1 favorite read, and honestly one of the most beautifully written books on the subject is "where bigfoot walks" by Robert Michael Pyle. Then there's "legend meets science" by meldrum, lengthy read but good. Ive got a small book collection I'll take a picture of tomorrow and post. Mostly good reads, a couple duds, but mostly good.

  19. Somehow you're under the impression that all people in the field are there to find and capture scientifically-acceptable evidence for the world to see. That is not even in the top-ten objectives when I'm out in the field. My sole purpose is to get a sighting or have an encounter. If I were blessed with producing hard evidence, I likely wouldn't share it with anyone. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if there aren't many other people out there who only want to prove to themselves these creatures exist and would never share details with anyone but family and close friends. So I'll stay with my old, tired, lazy, and unimaginative methods that are destined for failure. I really like them and they've grown on me!

  20. If i remember right this is a reconstruction not one of the actual nests. But still awesome.

  21. Children have larger eyes porportionally to their bodies, in any species. Here's a replica of a human child's skull, ages 3-5. Its eyes look too big, too. That Neanderthal child's skull is fascinating. I wish I could have seen them. How amazing would it have been to have lived at a time when there were several human species around, and interacting with one another. Fascinating.
