  1. There was a theory floating around that the Sasquatch population took a hit along with the Native Americans due to smallpox. I don’t subscribe to that theory. If there was a sudden and massive die off…it seems that remains would have been easier to find somewhere. Some settler would have stumbled over a pile of bodies and at least taken a skull for the cabin wall.

  2. "The Legend of Boggy Creek" will always be my favorite... But I also love "Something in the Woods" which seems to be based on the classic encounter story of The Cowman of Copalis Beach

  3. So true. I legit could NOT use the bathroom at my Grandparents house for years after seeing that because there was a window there and they lived out in the country.

  4. Alas, there were no positive DNA results. The 2015 discovery had results that were too degraded to show a novel primate and the early covid crisis shut down any testing of samples collected in 2020. At least that was my understanding from a Shane Corson podcast interview.

  5. Also, book I would not recommend is Bigfoot Nation lol. I bought it purely becuase it was David "puma punku" Childers book from ancient aliens and got it signed lol. The book touts a few known hoaxes as actual sightings, that were busted by the time he wrote the book btw. So he really phoned it in on this one lol. My #1 favorite read, and honestly one of the most beautifully written books on the subject is "where bigfoot walks" by Robert Michael Pyle. Then there's "legend meets science" by meldrum, lengthy read but good. Ive got a small book collection I'll take a picture of tomorrow and post. Mostly good reads, a couple duds, but mostly good.
