  1. Produce one. Sorry to be abrupt, but folks have been reporting "black panthers" for generations. None have been produced. No carcass, nor pelt. In this case, I'm believing Science. Prove them wrong. Go on. (I'm not calling out CelticKevin, merely drawing attention to the lack of evidence.) Logic dictates large house cat.

  2. Black versions of medium and big cats include Jaguars, Leopards and Ocelots. To everyone. I was a member of the big game hounds man forum. There were reports of houndsmen tangling with Lions. Not Mountain Lions…. Lions. I don’t live in the east. I do not know the veracity of this reports. But it would seem for some reason eastern forests have a lot of exotic animals running around. Monkeys, Chimps, Orangs, Lions, etc…. For a westerner I find it kinda far fetched but we evidently have photos and DNA for some of these claims.

  3. People see lots of things. Some real, some imagined,Some misidentified. Sasquatches are seen everywhere, but nowhere. Doesn't change anything about the photos. It remains a mangy bear.

  4. Had the good fortune to spend time with Jeff Meldrum at a conference in Florida a good few years ago now. He impressed me immensely with his sheer enthusiasm for the subject. He was very generous with his time and spoke with everyone who either had questions or wanted to relate their own experience. Heck he even put up with some Scottish guy giving him a hard time for working with Todd Standing! I'm not sure if anyone will have heard anything negative about the good doctor from anyone who has met him. I often hear from some quarters that Meldrum is simply somehow cashing in on his Sasquatch interests. Not quite sure what this is based on. Yep, he's the go to guy who is clearly inundated with offers and work in the Sasquatch field. Simply a by-product of the work put into a field where calm, sensible and scientific voices are at a premium.

  5. Body mass and tail looks like house cat to me. While cougar are present in Appalachia the mass is much different.

  6. We have mountain lions not too far from you in Upstate South Carolina. I saw one myself up close twice when we had chickens. The family didn’t believe me, until a grocery store a few miles away posted pictures of it on their Facebook page. It was caught on their security cameras around one of their dumpsters. The one I saw was normal colored. So, I can’t speak to your area or to what is in your photo….but, even though the state claims otherwise… they are in this region.

  7. I watched the show and did not hear any mention about whether that calculation was Patty's standing height or her walking height. Gigantofootecus, in the attached review report below, mentions that the average human's walking height is 8%-10% lower than standing height. He also mentions that Patty, because of her compliant walk, has an 18%-20% variance. I'd want to know whether the 6'3" height conclusion is her walking height or whether it has taken into account her compliant-walking variance into account, and, if so, at what percentage. Below is a link to Gigantofootecus' discussion about this very issue. http://www.readclip.com/crypto/review.htm

  8. Where in Ontario are you based? I’ve been trying to find a group or organization to join here in Ontario and shockingly am not having any luck:(

  9. I had a vendetta a while back when I called out Don Keating. But then he was caught lying about his encounter, too. Had he not been such a high profile in Bigfootdom and not so well known for starting the Ohio Bigfoot Conference, running it for 20 years, with all the other heavy hitting speakers, I probably wouldn't have gone after him. But at the time he really shook my trust in those I thought I looked up to. Result? I look up to no one now and make my own way for solving this mystery. I learned a valuable lesson so maybe in the end it was all for the good?
