It certainly was different than the bigfoot movies of the past. The theme fit with the transforming beliefs/ideology of society since Harry & the Hendersons. It wasn't a comedy, but the sasquatch wasn't a slobbering, bloodthirsty killer, either. The plot involving an implanted tracking device was clever, but the rather silly intersection of the various human factions delivered the expected result of "people can and will screw everything up".
At $2.99, it wasn't a loss, and it was better than watching news blips on YouTube of our crumbling world, but I would have been pretty disappointed if I had paid $4.99.
