  2. Greetings! I became curious about Sasquatch when I was 15, back in the mid-70's, on a camping trip with my parents up to Oregon - Lake of the Woods. I was awakened in the middle of the night by a scream, then whoop, that chilled my blood and literally made me feel paralyzed in my sleeping bag. It carried on a few more times. The sound came from across the lake and gradually diminished as the creature that made the scream seemed to be moving further away. No one else in our big army tent woke up or seemed to hear it! I was shocked at this! I talked to my family about it the next morning, and they listened attentively, didn't make me feel like a total idiot or anything. But they didn't hear it so, I had no one to really talk more about it with. It wasn't until years later when the internet was born and bigfoot type forums sprung up that I found other *experiencers*. The first time I heard a recorded vocalization on a forum, just like that night so many years ago, my blood chilled and my hair stood on end...I recognized the sound instantly. And I've been curious ever since!

  3. Do you mean to refer to the Spotted owl? I ask because the survival of any extant Ivory-billed woodpeckers is unknown, perhaps doubtful.

  4. Thanks for the kind words.....don't think I'll be getting another dog though, looking for a pistol instead. I hike very quietly, and have been walking up on critters that my pups would normally clear out for me, the other day a cougar's den with cub, momma kitty was close to jumping me for sure, NOT a good situation! Finally getting a little rain, the woods are green, and the Sotol tender, some discards along the trail, notice the dark spots where something grabbed & bruised the tender leaves.

  5. Understood. And is the reason why I rate this in my top 5ish BF questions in my mind as someone that has had multiple encounters over the years and resulted in my reading perhaps every case BFRO has put out plus 100s of others. There are many cases similar that I have reviewed that are just as weird wrt to eye shine. So you either have to believe they have a flashlight in their eyes that they can turn on or off or that it is something else. I have RF and star light scopes, maybe it is something similar where they can reflect light not seen in our spectrum. Perhaps it is this or perhaps people, my daughter included, are just confused with what they see. I dont know, but multi-colored biolumenced eyes in a mammal just does not make sense to me. Of course neither an un-identified 7-9 foot ape wandering around in NJ and NC. PS - Please excuse me if my text is not correct. Pulled a muscle in my rib cage and under certain things the pain is out of the world. Not paying too much attention to the keys I hit.
