I thought I replied to this, or maybe it hasn't been approved yet. So I hope this doesn't post twice, and apologize if it does. So very small background, but we've been trying to get on his property for some time through mutual friends. I've been hearing about him, and my friend's experiences, for a few years now. So it has been basically building up trust and a way to meet him and the place. He's just an old timer (doesn't even have internet out there) and can be somewhat crabby and distrusting in his old age I guess, hahaha. At least, that was my impression. But once got to know him a little and talk, he was pleasant. He's got some very cool tree structure pics, and a great one of a 'being' in his treeline behind the trailer watching his dog. i say 'being' because it was clearly a figure sort of crouched down. We could see the arms, legs, and eyes, and it was just odd looking in general. There are other cool things too. In fact my friend, who did the interview, put up his own trail cam up in a tree that got pulled out and tossed that it even had the metal screw attached to it bent up. We found a couple tree things ourselves. My one time solo in the area I had a weird huff/grunt thing happen and a small rock tossed at me from down in a ravine. One time we heard something that sounded like two legs run off (i'm not a scientist, but it did sound like that to my amateur ear) and briefly caught something black quickly taking off down this ravine. Of course, I can't claim what it was at all, certainly. But was just weird and made us (me for sure) jump! What is cool about the tree structures, sometimes they seem to lead or point to another down a ways, and then another, almost like directions. My one friend theorizes they point towards water, but I don't know. I'm just going along for the ride He has a lot of acreage, and the land next to his is owned by a company, and full of really dense forest and hilly areas (it's the spot where he and his friend saw the big black one step out). There's also a church nearby that a lady also claims she has them come there as well. And really, for me, it's just a lot of fun to get out and hike there anyway. I also find interesting, since getting into all this, that I have since found so many stories and podcasts and etc that are pretty darn close to his place. It's not definitively corroborating, but just I found personally interesting. Anyways, this answers absolutely nothing and helps even less, lol! But just wanted to give a little more info. And I needed a break from work for a few minutes, so thanks for reading! Hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend.3 points

I need to tell this story. July 4th 1995 My father doesn’t come home for dinner. I’m at my wife’s family reunion in Kansas. My mom calls the neighbors looking for dad. No dad. The neighboring men go up on the ranch and find dads pickup. No dad. Mom goes back to the house and calls the sheriffs dept and reports dad missing. The deputy sheriff and the ambulance sit at the bottom of the mountain while the neighbors comb the mountain. They find his body around midnight. They drag him out of there and throw him in a pickup and take him down the mountain to the ambulance. The deputy never got more than 5 ft from his rig. The moral of the story? We rural folk don’t put much stock in the authorities. Every varmint on my ranch? Gets the 3 S’s….2 points

That is exactly what I'd do. Then I'd follow it up with a certified letter just to legally cover my fanny. In a DLP shooting with nobody to track a wounded predator with you, turning the situation over to the authorities is precisely the correct thing to do. In fact, I'd play their own games back at them. I'd describe the predator as a bear that walked on two legs, had broad shoulders and a flat face, and was dragging my dog away with hands and fingers. No way would I call it a bigfoot. It was a bear..........but different.2 points

Really because there is video of him driving his UTV around? Heck…. Call someone. If we were neighbors in Idaho or Montana. And I shot a Grizzly bear in my yard and wounded it? And it ran off and I shrugged my shoulders and went inside? What would you think of that? What would you think with your kids playing in the back yard? You would NOT be OK with my actions. This story could be complete horse manure. Fine, but taken at face value? That was really not OK at all.2 points

Say 'Cheese' -If one claims to have one encounter, it is no surprise when they didn't get it on camera. Maybe a person was caught unaware or had no camera with them. Maybe it happened too fast. Many of us have missed a cell phone shot/video fumbling with our phone. Fine. -If one claims to have 1) an interest in Bigfoot and 2) many encounters and 3) in an area of Bigfoot hot spots, then it is very suspect when at least a few filming attempts/ results don't go with it. -If one claims to capture Bigfoot on film, wouldn't that be the proof offered first and foremost? Maybe after they add, "Oh and later I made plaster impressions of a few tracks I found in the area. I know from the PGF event how important it is to also film the trackway so let me show you that as well." We need to be very hard and demanding of these claims both believer claims and skeptic claims alike. I remember a TV/ Discovery Channel Bigfoot show where some Bigfoot guys go talk to an old mountain man. He claimed these bigfoot(s) come out through the area all the time. He even showed paths where they walked through. He can give his reasons why he doesn't want to reveal them such as, "I don't want people up here hunting them" and so on. For some reason it slips the guy's mind that appearing on the show and showing where he claims they walked just might lead others to the spot he is revealing. So, basically, we are led to believe he has all these encounters all the time and even gives them food or whatever. Yet, he never takes a picture of this. Is it any wonder an already skeptical scientific community scoffs at these claims?2 points

Many encounters have been reported where a Sasquatch was reportedly shot. I only know of one where I consider the facts of the case to be totally reliable. They involve old time researchers Matt Moneymaker and Daryl Colyer (if the names aren't familiar look them up on the net). This is one of the few cases I'm aware of where a government coverup was instigated and was successful. I know of more but that's proprietary data and discussion is prohibited. This is one of the reasons why I don't go into the woods unarmed any more. You may draw your own conclusions but I still wonder how seriously the Bigfoot was injured and what happened afterwards? However, I now seriously doubt a BF can be killed knowing what we know now. BTW, I had a copy of the original report and it was lost when my computer crashed. A tech told me the computer had been hacked and deliberately destroyed. I will relate in another post what happened to me in October of 2016 and just how far the true force of Sasquatch can reach. My spidey senses kind of tell me it never happened anyway due to the rain issue in the story . I could be wrong and his whole tale could be true but when I watch the tape and he was asked if he investigated the spot after the shooting . His excuse for not walking to the end of his yard for two days because of rain just doesn't make sense . Unless the guy was just too scared to go outside for a couple of days and didn't want to say it , who knows1 point

What he did was dead wrong. And we can make all the excuses we like. It is what it is. You don’t wound animals and let them become someone else’s problem. Full stop!1 point

Its very similar….yes. Prove to me it’s not? Are there not tales of people shooting a Bigfoot? (Tan response) I would rather lose a dog than the neighbors kids. Doesn’t matter. If your not committed then shoot in the air. Call fish and game and tell them something big and black was dragging my dog away. Easy. It’s wounded. There is a blood trail. Come deal with it. Ive known my neighbors since 1975. If something like that happened to me? I would have 20 neighbors at my place in 30 minutes. Getting stuck in a snow drift. Forest fires. Cougar kills. Etc. etc. Rural people stick together. Rural people help each other. And rural people talk.1 point

I'm a hunter and I understand what you're saying but I don't think comparing it to a wounded grizzly is an applicable comparison , Big if ..but if these things exist and are as intelligent as some describe plus the fact that they reportedly don't travel alone . It's probably not the best course of action to go after a wounded one alone . I don't know anything about this guy but he looks like he lives alone with his two dogs and from watching the video he has trouble walking down a few stairs and walks fairly slow . This whole thing could be all a lie and none of this happened . The thing that sounds made up to me was he didn't want to go look for evidence because of the rain . That to me makes no sense . I understand him not pursuing it into the forest but to not go to the edge of his yard for two days to look for a clump of hair or blood makes no sense at all because it was raining for two days . He was a hunter and trapper in his younger days and he knows there would have been evidence at that spot in his yard to collect if he hit with a shotgun . There would have been blood on the grass . From what I gather from the interview it wasn't raining during the encounter the rain started after .1 point

Is there a reason he didn't want to show them during this hour long interview ? He showed casts but never mentioned he had photos of them . Sad to say but that always seems to be the case .1 point

I hope I get to see that someday! Just playing online looking at bigfooty stuff and this popped up. Didn't think it was too interesting, but there's not much going on here right now, so why not.1 point

Base on someone claiming so many encounters, I lean toward an assumption any picture(s) will be highly underwhelming at best. I would love to be wrong.1 point

Hi, my name's Paul (or Pablo if you speak Spanish!), I'm from Ireland and been fascinated by the subject of Bigfoot since furst seeing all the great old documentaries from the 70's so I've been at this for over 40 years! Hoping to chat with like-minded individuals here and get answers and opinions on the big guy!1 point

By the 5th, 6th, or 7th time wouldn’t you think maybe you get a camera ? This guy seems to be a Bigfoot magnet. Why no PGF level film to match these frequent flyer Bigfoot encounter claims?1 point

Hi there - I'm new around here, and I'm excited to join the conversation. I'm from Nebraska, and there's a surprising amount of activity here going back years. I'm interested in learning more about these NE encounters, and others around the bordering states. I hope everyone is doing well!1 point
