Planning on heading into the mountains for an impromptu overnight camping trip this weekend. My plan is to take my 4Runner to a remote spot and just camp out of it. I have a twin-size air mattress that I hope will be comfy with the rear seats folded down. I used a tape measure and there is right at 6' of room. I am 6'2", so figure sleeping at an angle will be fine.
It will likely get below freezing at the elevation I'm thinking of, so sleeping in the confined space of the 4Runner with engine heat available and in a good sleeping bag and thick comforter should be fine.
I will be absolutely alone, with no dog or girlfriend to keep me company. Should be good for attracting the attention of any BF in the area. I plan on sitting around a campfire, with a good whiskey, some good tunes on the satellite radio, and will have a Go-Pro and new Samsung Galaxy Ultra 21 phone at the ready.
I would love to hear some wolf howls, but a wood knock would be really cool.
I had a conversation with a co-worker about his BF experience when hunting a couple of years ago and he heard grunts, roars, and howls that he could feel in his gut. He said whatever was making the noise was under 50 yards from his tent in the middle of nowhere in WA state.
I would love to have a similar experience, but he was visibly shaken when recounting what he and his dad went through that night. Just another BF witness that will never go public with their encounter and still unable to acknowledge that BF is real, despite their own incredible encounter.
