  2. Hello, Group! I am a female, old and retired and living in the countryside of west central Georgia, USA. There has been one report made of an encounter with a Bigfoot here, and I know the people involved. They are all very reliable, smart, honest folks, several of them in law enforcement. I believe them. I continue to hope that I will have an encounter of my own someday before I die. Or after I die, but you know, before would be better. Thank you for letting me join this community. I will try to be an active, friendly, interesting/interested member of the group.

  3. Very good advice! The Scottish wilderness is my training ground for now. Hopefully get to check out the habitat with my PNW buddies over the next few years!

  4. Not really about Bigfoot at all, but still fairly interesting, if anticlimactic. It's about the some dudes who worked at a pot-growing site somewhere in Northern California and were murdered. There was a rumor spread that "Bigfoot" did it.

  5. Over the years I remember storms or storm series (like the past couple of weeks) when we got dumped on, but most of those were spring storms. It's kinda' early for this kind of volume. If we get lots more or fail to get a mid-winter chinook (thaw), it will become a problem. I'm already running out of room to push all this stuff. The labor shortage and supply line problems are affecting it, too. I heard that 1/3 of Anchorage's snow fleet is down waiting on parts, and 1/3 of their equipment operator positions remain unfilled. Our neighborhood would have been snowed in had the few of us with pickup plows hadn't plowed single lane paths through. We also had to plow out our neighbors cause the commercial plowers are overwhelmed. I was hoping to spend time ice fishing this winter after my inside projects get caught up, but now that means using the pickup to plow out a spot to fish. That's scary. I can't afford to sink another pickup and plow.........

He may be vacationing in Costa Rica for all we know but there is some concern here on the forum

  7. Do it when you are as young as you can be. The PNW forests can really kick your gluteal region if you are not in decent shape. Or worse, if you are not prepared for anything. Good luck!
