  1. Good points that I agree with. I’d tend to lean more towards BF not being real than I would of universal “laws” followed by all BF as a reason to why we do not catch the rogues doing rogue things. As BRB pointed out, there should be outliers and outcasts that mess up in the BF world. The fact that there seem to be little to none of those documented is concerning. There is no way BF as a whole is infallible.

  2. Glad you brought up the Ice Age, if BF exists then it definitely evolved to work around all those creatures that perished over 10,000 yrs ago. In time/evolution that's a blip, almost nothing so I'm not sure that's enough time for an entire species to let go of its habits that formed from millions of years of coexistence with Saber-cats, a variety of Wolves, large LARGE Bears, a variety of other Cats including American Lions and Hyenas (the latter being a Mustelid). That's why I brought it up in another thread how BFs might have some form of species-wide PTSD of humans and other predators that they avoid us like the plague because that's what kept them alive while the rest perished. Keep your family close and guarded. I'm speculating of course on all of this, but maybe the individuals that seem to lack the fear of people are those who are simply getting on with the times. But as pointed out earlier, yes Orangs are the one exception and it's for a very good reason. Perhaps BF is this way too, forming communities but are still rather introverted and solitary MOST of the time.

  3. I think the Sasquatch survive on road kills it’s a plentiful food source in the modern world.

  4. Well let’s set Bigfoot aside for a second. Does science defend the Clovis first hypotheses like a mama bear with a cub? Yes. Yes it does. In spite of…. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerutti_Mastodon_site https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluefish_Caves https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedra_Furada https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calico_Early_Man_Site https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hueyatlaco https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2004-oct-03-adfg-bones3-story.html

  5. Gotcha. He has quoted me, so i assumed that it was directed towards me. I didn’t understand the reference.

  6. I take solace in the fact that we have a fossil record for Bigfoot like creatures. Ape men, archaic Hominids, whatever you wanna call them. Scholars can debate the when and where and how? But there is no refuting what we call Bigfoot, resembles what is represented in the fossil record. And every year there are more and more discoveries. Why if they are extant they defy discovery can be debated as well. But we are not talking about a bipedal werewolf or a flying moth man that defies all known taxonomy and is not even remotely represented in the fossil record.

  7. Are you speaking to me? Because I do not know what you are referring to here.

  8. I think it goes well beyond that. Meaning not only biology, but archeology.

  9. I’ve never accepted the fact they are in every forested state in the union. I think they are more rare than a Grizzly bear. The alien explanation could be valid in today’s world where they seem to be everywhere. But how far down the rabbit hole do we wanna go? Much of the criticism about Bigfoot is based in nothing in the archeological record. But is this accurate? I don’t think it is. I think this is suppressed. I think there is plenty of evidence something was here long before 12,000 years ago.

  10. I don’t understand where the “clan” concept even originated. That’s a pretty big assumption on the social structure of a creature that we are unable to observe for any period of time. Honestly, the whole clan thing seems like a Disney-fixation of the phenomenon. Papa Squatch, Momma Squatch, little baby Squatches running around, maybe a couple of bluebirds singing a catchy tune…. It just seems to be one of those Bigfoot tropes that gets repeated without really any questioning. Most of these habituation cases are the same way. They read like poorly written fanfic. And it doesn’t stand up to the slightest bit of scrutiny. “Did you take any pictures or video of these creatures?” “No, I do not want them to be discovered and exploited by man.” ”Then why are you even telling your story on the internet for thousands or even millions of people to see?” That’s my point. Even if they do bury their dead… where’s the outlier? The one who died in an accident alone? The one who ventured too far out and died crossing the road? The solitary individual who just gets sick and dies? A 100% success rate of recovering and concealing bodies. Year after year. That’s an enormous level of apparently worldwide planning and coordination for a species that supposedly hovering just above extinction. No mistakes are ever made, unless you consider the PGF to be a mistake on the part of the creature. And even that doesn’t add up. Patty doesn’t display the speed and agility that are often referenced as ways the species avoids detection.

  11. So these rebellious individuals are preemptively killed and buried before they commit acts that could be captured on film? A sort of Sasquatch Minority Report? if these are clans of individuals with leaders, enforcers, and followers … then where is the individualism? Where are the rebels, the screw-ups, and the unlucky? I know that there is something going on with the Sasquatch phenomenon, but this almost seems like a hive-mind mentality. This doesn’t seem like primate or even human-like behavior.

  12. Some years ago I had email contact with a habituator human who claimed to be trading food for other things with a group of BF. Your comment about following the rules triggered something I remember he said. According to him, while he was often face to face with them, he wanted a picture. The BF leader told him that photographs are not permitted. Permitted by whom? Who makes and enforces rules on a 9 plus foot bigfoot? They seem to be in lock step on no pictures. That implies enforcement somehow. I always felt as if I was contantly under observation when I was in my research area. Feeling of being watched never went away. I when I slammed the truck door at my normal parking area sometimes I got a responding wood knock as If they wanted me to know they were around too. But that said, my first contact was likely the result of a blunder by two BF who lost track of where I was. I had changed direction of travel three times in a period of less than an hour. And the two traveling together nearly ran over me. They are not perfect but they are very good at avoiding us. Human travel on human developed trails and logging roads make avoiding us easier. Two or more humans are usually talking. The most likely way to have BFcontact is like deer hunters, stay off trail, move quietly, do not be predictable and hope some BF blunders into you.
