There has already been discussions on that aspect. What I'm finding out is that not only do discussions continue to go around in circles, the same mechanism is at work with answers that are supposed to address progress. Answers that show that, even if people have read solutions to a problem before, they will still answer in a manner that shoots down progress. And this includes how to work at getting testing for little or no cost. People seem to conveniently forget that part of a previous discussion. At least with an answer like the above they aren't willing to bring up a lick of anything positive.
But I presented TWO alternatives. the second was set up a meeting go talk to F&W. My own F&W WILL go out and sample cougar and/or wolf tracks for DNA should I find and report any any and the evidence looks good. On their dime. They will also go out and sample Sasquatch tracks also if the evidence looks good. On their dime. The real issue here is one of straight out resistance by members to step up, stand up, and take matters into their own hands.
Heck, I'm 74 years old, can be taught new tricks, LEARN new tricks, and can can all my F&W, set u a meeting, and walk in the door and sit down and talk to someone, and leave them compelling research materials which they say they will go through and then give me their thoughts. And this is on top of a stated willingness to go into the field and sample rare species ASAP. Does this make me a better researcher than anyone else for doing this? Or make my F&W better than someone else's? NO!! It does not, in neither case. All that my doing this shows me is that people here that battle constantly against progress are showing their true colors.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, all the money spent on going solo into the field: gas, vehicles, thermal equipment, guns, clothing, tenting gear, and everything else is in the thousands...PER PERSON. So IMO, griping about DNA sampling costs, when there are ways to get it done for free, is an argument that carries no weight whatsoever. This brings me to another point that I've brought up before: The apparent agenda to stifle anything that could advance this subject to the kind of hard evidence that would matter where discovery of Sasquatch existence is concerned. And I can almost predict what will come next here.
