  1. I'm going on a pretty good camping trip this summer and If by some crazy chance I was to happen to capture a photo this is the first place I will share it with .

  2. No one is asking you to do that. You could, however, privately go to your contact and ask if he or she is willing to receive and process eDNA from others in this group...in the interest of science and discovery. If the answer is affirmative, you could provide that information in a private message to folks here. I would honor that confidentiality. If neither you nor your contact is willing to do so, that tells me all I need to know.

  4. Good catch and it is my posting mistake. Sorry about that.

  5. I’m a shoot type…. Either way? Science is based on testable and repeatable results. If I claim I’m recording strange primate howls every time I go to X spot. And you go out there and record only Bard Owls? That’s a problem. Or film a Bigfoot at spot X and then won’t tell any one with a measuring tape where it is? That’s a problem. The more we share? The more plausible this subject becomes. The more we hide from each other the more it looks like smoke and mirrors. IMHO

  6. Yeah. That, too. Many of mine are 8-9 years old and are starting to fail. I'm testing them in the yard before I pack them to the hills. No rush on that, there was almost 11 feet of snow where I normally park to hike in to set up cameras. I suspect the parking lot won't be accessible 'til at least mid July this year and I have no idea how long after that it will be before the snow under the trees otherwise blocking the trails have melted enough to make them passable. I think August might be busy.

  7. Yet he asks all research groups and individuals to hand over the eDNA results and get with the program because it is so easy HE can do it? Hmmm, cuts both ways on the old double standard doesn't it!

  8. Won’t hand it over? Well then your not really all that concerned about discovery then are you?🙄

  9. Yes, all siblings, male and female inherit their mother's mtDNA, but only the sisters pass it on to the next generation.

  10. Found myself in Ucluelet for work this past weekend. Even though I spent most of my life on Vancouver Island, I've never travelled to the Tofino/Ucluelet area. I kept an eye open for the sighting location from 2007, as depicted in MonsterQuest's "Mysterious Ape Island". It is on Highway 4, as it runs along the Kennedy River between Port Alberni and Ucluelet. Turns out is was very easy to spot, and looks remarkably similar for a riverbank location, 16 years later. In the episode they refer to a Maureen Creek bridge, which in fact appears to actually be Marion Creek, at least according to Backroads Map Book.

  11. Give me the contact information of your Maine Fish and Wildlife officer that is going out and EDNA sampling Sasquatch tracks on the state government’s budget. Thank you.

  12. You are mistaken because your example is out of context. With Neanderthal we have known type specimens. We have been able to compare a known X to a known Y to see what is different. In the case of human vs sasquatch, we only have one known and another theorized. We do not know what the genetic differences will be so we can only say "this is not quite like that" but we do not know if that difference is within human variation or it represents a new species. Not sure 'bout your math background, but I'm going to try an analogy: with human vs neanderthal we have 1 equation, 1 unknown. With human vs sasquatch we have 1 equation, 2 unknowns. If you have any math in your background you know this means there is no unique solution, all you can solve for is a pattern of possible solutions. That doesn't give us what you assume it gives us.

  13. If you have “discovery” then please post. Other than that, your rants about how everyone else should proceed in these inquiries are increasingly more and more annoying.

  14. I gathering here that you don't believe me? I've never lied here on this Forum, Norseman. Never in ten nearly ten years that I've been here. I have two trusted doors that I've worked to open. And I did both with honesty. I didn't trick them, I didn't blind side them, or set them up with a strawman request by using strawman questions. Bottom line is I will NOT give you that information and breech a confidence that took me time and careful patience to establish. In retrospect, this Forum left me little choice but to go that route, mainly because there's really never been anything here that one could hang their hat on. In other words, anyone seriously seeking the truth of Sasquatch existence simply needs to go elsewhere. About 3 years ago I realized that it had taken me way too long for me to find that out. So instead, I dug in OUTSIDE of this Forum and began to turn real-world handles on real-world doors. And now you just want me to hand all that over to you? Seriously, Norseman? In your dreams, bud.
