  2. I'm happy to announce that we may be seeing some bold new PGF research, because Doug Hajicek (of MonsterQuest fame) is launching a new funding campaign for "Legend Meets Science 2" as seen here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hajicek/legend-meets-science-ii-film-sequel-a-bigfoot-documentary?ref=3icq5m&token=6ab15f4a Doug did an incredible job on LMS 1, providing researchers with some of the best frame scans and video renders of the PGF for many years, and he and I have been in talks for some time now about taking PGF research to the next level in this new LMS 2 project. So please support it, or share the info with friends, and if it is successful, we can look forward to some bold and exciting new research. Mods: I hope this notice is appropriately placed. If not, move at your discretion. Thank you.

  3. Thanks! I'm actually a pretty much retired archaeologist, I have degree in anthropology as well as religious studies from East Carolina. Done a good bit of work in the southeast in all kinds of environments and stuff, and have been to over a dozen BFRO encounter locations throughout the country. I'm currently part of a small group that's going to be doing some quote unquote squatching this summer in wnc. My son is a student at North Carolina state currently, GO Pack. I have what probably come across as some pretty strong opinions when it comes to sasquatch/bigfoot. I look forward to healthy discussion in the forums about it. It is rather fascinating that whatever it is seems to take the form of a mammal. The lack of any evidence in the prehistoric record lol fossils bones genuine depictions I find one of the chief difficulties for its existence in North America. I am of the school of thought that it's not gigantopithecus. gigantopithecus if it was such a beast was a quadruped and it died out along with Homo erectus possibly due to the Advent of homo sapien.

  4. Welcome, Ed. Always glad to see fellow NC folks with an interest, especially in scientific approaches. I'm on faculty at NC State University and teach a course called Science, Psi, Sasquatch, and Spirits that takes scientific approaches to investigating the strange. You can find more info about me here (even though my new web site is not quite ready for prime time): darbyorcutt.com

  5. I also never go out anymore without thick leather boots and snake gaiters even though I much prefer lightweight trail runners. You lose the nimble feeling with clodhoppers but they do protect. Only a handful of peple die each year from a venomous bite. I'm more concerned about losing a foot because I can't get to a hospital and get antivenom quickly enough.

  6. We don't have lots in Oregon and most would not know what one looks like and get bit.
