  1. I developed this a couple of years ago and I think it's apt for this one. I would call this an indirect Warhol hoaxer. Profile: Hoaxer Baseline- With the advent of social media and portals such as Youtube, hoaxers have access to a virtual unlimited audience. This access provides added incentive to continue the hoax and increase the recognition. Recognition is the key element to a hoax and is the driving component which ties them all together. I. Classification of hoaxers- Professional: This level of hoaxer is motivated by the possibility of obtaining a profit from the hoax. The professional tends to have a high level of understanding of the subject matter and will go to extensive lengths to produce a believable and convincing incident. The incident will receive a very high level of scrutiny and will need to be able to withstand a critical analysis by others with knowledge of the subject. Since the motivation is profit and the professional knows the hoax will eventually be discovered as a ruse, obtaining the profit quickly will be a key. The hoaxer will seek a source willing to pay for exclusive access to the incident, probably with a local or national news organization. The professional will hold themselves out as an expert on the subject and profess to have an extensive background, which will add credibility to the incident. Credibility is a key to being able to sell the incident to an unsuspecting audience. Serial: The serial hoaxer is motivated more by obtaining attention than by the possibility of obtaining a profit. The attention garnered can be either positive or negative. This person will attempt to hide behind a false identity and use many aliases since quantity is more important to ensure the lineage can be continued. Timing of the release of the incident to the public will be quick. The method of exposure will be to the widest possible audience. Silly: This level has no regard for sophistication and is only motivated by getting a laugh. The hoax is usually obvious and ultimately harmless to the cause. The hoaxer doesn’t try and hide behind an alias and will publish multiple incidents. The release will be sporadic and usually on a medium that is easiest to access. Warhol: This level of hoaxer is only seeking recognition and the attention that comes with it. They are looking for their 15 minutes of fame and are not seeking to profit and have no intention of doing it in the future. Nefarious: The level of hoaxer has a grudge with a person or the subject and intends harm to the overall reputation by perpetrating a sophisticated hoax that will eventually be revealed. The hoax will be in line with the professional hoaxer by obtaining acceptance by the community and then coming clean with the intent to discredit the entire group. The release will be to a very narrow audience where immediate acceptance can be obtained allowing for a high degree of credibility. II. Types of Incidents- · Video · Still Pictures: · Prints or impressions (Foot, Hand, Body) · Stick Structures · Audio · Eyewitness Testimony · Biological Evidence (Hair, Saliva, Scat, Skin) III. Type of Hoax- Direct: This approach has the hoaxer fabricating the incident and releasing it for consumption. Indirect: This approach has the hoaxer fabricating the incident and having a third party view it and ultimately report it. This method is reliant upon the third party to act upon what was witnessed and removes the hoaxer from the incident and all trails leading to them. IV. Target Audience- General populace: This approach allows for the greatest coverage only requiring a single individual to witness the hoax and release it for consumption. Specific Individual: This method will focus the incident at locations the hoaxer knows an individual will frequent. Since recognition is needed by the individual, the hoaxer will have knowledge of the individual’s schedule along with the location. V. Analysis- In the event of an incident, analysis needs to be done based upon varying factors to determine whether a hoax exists or if the evidence is plausible for an actual event.

  2. We will have to respectfully disagree on this one. If one says our government is keeping some top secret of Bigfoot, then it creates so many questions whose answers become logic quicksand: If Bigfoot is so top secret, why was Roger allowed to live? Why didn't the government buy his film and copies and destroy it. Why wasn't Roger's brake lines cut. Why is Gimlin still alive? Why hasn't he been silenced. Why is Meldrum and Munns on TV? I don't claim to know if what we see in the sky as an unidentified object is something normal, miliary, new tech, or what. But I don't buy the idea it's green men from outer space. If so, why would ALL countries keep this under wraps. All countries don't have equal motivations to keep quiet and no one person speaks for "earth". If there are UFO aliens out there then the government would have real issues to deal with and it wouldn't be to keep Bigfoot secret. If they announced today, "we were being visited by little green men from mars" there would be some massive worldwide panic and other destabilizing ramifications. But if they announced or it slipped out Bigfoot was a real rare animal out there little to nothing would happen. No one would panic like they would if a UFO landed on the white house lawn. The Stock market wouldn't crash. No one would panic if we heard Bigfoot was shot. There is just no reason the government or anyone would need to keep Bigfoot under wraps. If they can't find a Bigfoot to shoot one there may be many reasons, but our government isn't one of them. When they discover a tribe in the jungle they report it on the news, and then go one to sports, weather and a story of a local bake sale. The viewer says "wow" and then want to know what is for dinner. They move on. When they see a sighting of a rare animal it's the same thing and it rarely even makes the news. Now a true bigfoot on a slab story would be quite a buzz but right after very little would happen after of couple of days/weeks of people thinking it's kind of neat. If Bigfoot WAS an alien, there would be even MORE reason for our government to admit Bigfoot exists and convince us it's an ANIMAL to help in the cover up. I admit I have 100% no idea on either Aliens or bigfoot.

  3. I know a guy who was a high school state wrestling champ. As a rather crazy adult, he shot a caribou bull in the head with a 22, and it went down. It was motionless. He walks up to it, grabs its antler, and it comes alive. He had quite the wrestling match. He finished killing it with his knife. Caribou bulls weigh @ 400-450 lbs.

  4. There is husband/wife research team in SE Oklahoma that own property that they use to search for Bigfoot and Bigfoot evidence. They have what they call a "gift log", and periodically leave gifts on the log. They mostly leave stuffed dolls or animals made for kids, or sometimes kid's toys. Among the strange happenings they have claimed: A stuffed Bigfoot doll placed on the log was later found at the end of a branch in a tree that was about 20 feet away from the log. The stuffed Bigfoot was about 7 ft. above the ground. This was a strange one: A green turtle figurine was placed on the log and the next time they checked, the turtle figurine was gone. On a later check of their gift log, and I think this may have been weeks later, they found an actual empty turtle shell had been placed either on the log or near it. It was something they had not put there.
