Take the habituators who have ongoing interaction with one of more sasquatch. They often convey a protective attitude, and a desire not to invade their neighbors lives, instead living side by side. They seem quite convinced that if they produce conclusive evidences(clear video, dna, a meet and greet luncheon)that it will result in the sasquatch leaving or being harmed/exploited, which stands to reason.... As I've said before, I don't see these guys as some new world forest ape, but rather a remnant pleistocene megafauna hominid which very much complicates the issue of disclosure,because it's no longer "just" an endangered species, it's now something that could easily merit rights, and protections that go well beyond the ESA. In regards to the elimination of apex predators, it could prove out that it was the subsequent explosion In the deer population that has allowed the sasquatch to make a come back across the country. It also would seem their cognitive abilities have allowed some to exist off the refuse of our excesses.
