Somehow I received a copy even though I was not an editor; so for now, just let me say this: This book is stunning in content, photographs, and production. Joe here4 points

Dear BFF Members, I want to take a moment to share some personal news with all of you. As many of you know, managing the forum and ensuring its continued growth and vibrancy has been a true labor of love for me. However, as my schedule and commitments have changed, I find that I no longer have the time and energy that this community truly deserves. It is with both a sense of pride and gratitude that I announce I am stepping aside as director of the Bigfoot Forums. But fear not, as I’m excited to introduce the new director who will be taking the reins – Norseman! Norseman has been an active and thoughtful member of this community for a long time. He brings a wealth of knowledge, a deep passion for Bigfoot, and a strong commitment to maintaining the welcoming and respectful atmosphere that has made this forum a special place for all of us. I am confident that under his leadership, the Bigfoot Forums will continue to thrive and grow, providing a platform for all of us to share our stories, theories, and experiences. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for making this community what it is today. It has been an honor to serve as your director, and I look forward to continuing to be a part of this journey, just in a different capacity. Please join me in welcoming Norseman to his new role. I know you’ll all offer him the same support and camaraderie that you’ve always shown me. Warm regards, Gigantor Outgoing Director, Bigfoot Forums2 points

I’m a firm believer, not a knower though. Like a lot of believers on this forum I want to be “chosen” by them. I want to be the one that they choose to reveal themselves to. we can’t rely on tv shows or other media to confirm it’s existent. We need to Be out in nature and be lucky enough to have a specimen from the species “choose” is to know they are real and in fact, EXIST.2 points

to be clear, I believe BiGFo0T is real. As in its a real animal and the government is covering up their existence for reasons that are unknown. But I’ve consumed so much cryptid content in the past 8 years or so that it’s become very obvious to me that most of it is made up now by people who make their livings doing this stuff. All the known names on are into the bigfooT lore for the money. Bob gymlan puts out interesting videos here and there but he is it. missing 411 ran it’s course. I’m not sure what Paulides is up to these days. The On The Trail of BigfooT documentaries are interesting. The On The Trail of BiGfooT Land of the missing was a good one. The documentary is about the aggressive nature of the Alaskan variety that actually seeks out humans to eat. These kindof behavior is extremely unusual for Sasquatch although the ape Canyon incident and the siege at Hanobia are incidents of aggressive Sasquatch encounters. if you haven’t I’d recommend checking out on the trail of bigfooT land of the kissing on Amazon prime. Even the director admits most of these stories could be explained by a more mundane cause but he remains open to the stories of the agressive Sasquatch in Alaska. but other than the few gems in the field the field most of the media surrounding Sasquatch is made up fantasy nonsense. It started off with Sasquatch but now there is dogman, pale crawlers, and other cryptids like little people and other nefarious things. It seems to me people figured out how to make the field of Sasquatch research and lore a lucrative industry.1 point

I fully acknowledge that Hollywood is at work with that show. But if the show was just Dr. Mayor walking around taking samples? Nobody would watch it. BUT! She is legit. She has helped discover a new primate! And she is in North America doing field research on our cryptid. So I hold out hope!👏🏻 She must be past the point of worrying about her career like Meldrum.🤷♂️ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mireya_Mayor On a 2001 expedition in Madagascar, she was part of a research group who described a new species of mouse lemur, Microcebus mittermeieri, or Mittermeier's mouse lemur,[6][12] after Russell Mittermeier, the president of green group Conservation International and a renowned field primatologist.[2][1] Mayor told NPRin a 2015 interview that following the discovery, she persuaded the prime minister of Madagascar to declare the mouse lemur's habitat a national park.1 point

I am generally dissatisfied with most of the current "media" related for Sasquatch with the exception of the Bigfoot and Beyond podcast...and even that taxes me at times. i am looking forward to a STM production focusing on the Ape Canyon Incident and featuring Marc Myrsell and his extensive research. Marc is a solid researcher, very detail oriented (due to his profession), and a great guy. Had the privilege of listening to a talk he gave and talked to him for a long time afterwards. I understand Bobo has a couple of docs in production and should be out "soon". These should be fairly interesting, but I know Bobo can be given to some far out approaches and ideas. Les Stroud? Meh...the taint of Standing is ever lingering.... The last good book I read was The Phenomenal Sasquatch by Matt Pruitt. Took a more scientific approach than most and didn't dumb down the language which I appreciated. As for Expedition Bigfoot...ugh. Staged fakery and exaggerated evidence. Ranks right up there with that Mountain Monsters show to me. If the good doctor on the show is legit, I can only imagine later her scientific reputation will take a hit for being associated with the rest of the lot.1 point

Again I don’t know how true it is but in the movie the Ghost and the Darkness, the two lions who were brothers had a lair. They seemed to only hunt humans and they drug a lot of humans into their lair. The PH said that it wasn’t normal for lions to behave this way. So there is always a chance it’s some rogue behavior of a known animal. I think he was hunting alone. Which is often the case.1 point

Sort of a calling card for a serial killer maybe? I still can't figure out why he didn't know Sol Duc narrowed down like it did and what he was dragging up there wasn't going to fit? Maybe I missed something like he was using it like a basecamp, weird storyline for sure. And the stacked bones and no cash or cards taken? Fictitious associations according to the comments section: "While both Jacques and Diane ARE real people who are missing in real life, neither of these people were found at the site mentioned, nor found at all yet, nor even missing in the Olympic forest. They're both missing in Canada. Jacques wasn't hunting in a US forest, and Diane went missing from a parking lot. Never ever believe videos where the narrator is not even a real person, but an AI generated voice." "I am somewhat familiar with the Jacob Gray story, however, much of the YouTube's version sounded highly unlikely, so I did a quick Google search. Surprise... Jacques Maxime disappeared in Manitoba, Canada and Diane Bonneau disappeared in Quebec. Sorry friends, their remains weren't found in the Solduc near Jacob Gray's. No other human remains were found near Jacob's body, either. That information alone puts the rest of the sinister parts of this story into question. In reality, Jacob's story is quite similar to many other young men who went missing or died while hiking in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. They were loners, had troubled relationships, hiked alone, and weren't prepared for what they might experience in the wilds."1 point

Redhawk is in my estimation correct, the majority of the content out there is fake or misrepresented and as you noted expanded to other realms to stay relevant. It makes people both here and in our circles sick as we then get slapped with being in the " community " and therefore guilty by association. I personally will state on record that Expedition Bigfoot is entirely fabricated, that is my opinion.1 point

On the BFRO, Bonner County and Valley County have by far the most number of reports for the state. I have been through Valley County; my dad and I went deer hunting further north around White Bird a number of years ago. I remember stopping in the town of McCall, and McCall is mentioned in about three of the Valley County reports. I do remember the terrain around McCall was more sasquatch looking than it was around White Bird. In the reports for Bonner County, which I think is in the panhandle, Priest Lake and Priest River are mentioned several times. Shoshone County had the third most reports, with 8.1 point

This is the one your daughter saw? Back when? Or is this something new? For me it isn’t about belief or disbelief. I’ve never seen one. I’ve seen compelling tracks one time. We need a body for proof. But, with that said? Is the hominid family growing every year? Yes. We now have dozens of archaic Homo and non Homo species to choose from. Every year brings new discoveries. And new understanding. I.e. Homo Erectus built boats. And could the American continent harbor an intelligent sentient creature unknown to science? I say most definitely yes. I realize that there is a stigma attached to this subject. But look at UFO’s and the Congressional hearings. That stigma is now in the ditch. We have scientists openly discussing UFO evidence. And Dr. Nolan said that he is 100 percent sure UFO’s exist in our airspace now and probably have been here for thousands of years. Aliens or time travelers or whatever here on Earth is a much larger leap than a archaic hominid still eeking out a living in a small corner of the planet today IMHO.1 point
