  1. I have probably shared in enough detail in other threads on how the SSq changed my life, but another way that I have not discussed as much perhaps is how it changed my view of what SSq is. I used to think they were probably animals and more specifically just a species of Gorilla. Since I was a kid I was interested in their possible existence and watched every documentary and read any book I could get my hands on. I would say I was very much indoctrinated into the Ape camp. In 1999 or 2000 somewhere around there I joined the forum here (BFF 1.0) and was very active in the Patterson threads mostly. Since I was really just an enthusiast I became a bit off put by some of the infighting within the community and just kind of became more scarce into the 2004 -2006 period of time and I may not have even logged in here once during those years. I remember the EB saga (an others) here and thought that the paranormal, supernatural SSq had nothing to do with Sasquatch. I wasnt so sure of the stability mentally of the experiencers who were reporting these type things and thought it might be undiagnosed schizophrenia or the like, but I tried to have an open mind, and remain respectful of such individuals....generally speaking though I just left them and their stories alone. Then starting in 2008 some very strange things began to happen in my life and into 2009 to 2011 I was having recurring encounters with SSq and learning literally things about their ways. Im not sure how much of what they showed me is true or deceptive, but I immediately thought of all the people who had been adamant about their bizarre encounters and thought differently about what I thought about them and everything. Not just everything as it related to SSq but everything period. What I had learned about SSq prior to that came from other peoples opinion of what SSq was. Things that others (who were open to them) were parroting from what others would say about them. Now I had my own personal experience and interaction with the SSq and the things I learned were not mainstream, they were not accepted realities within an already scarcely accepted reality. I am in the camp that they are part human, part something (or other somethings) else, that there is a large population, and that they are closer than you think or will probably ever become aware of, they have intelligence that is on par with our own but has manifested in different ways and with different utilization. Their drivers to and for existence are not easy to relate to when compared to ours. It is a long complicated story. I rejoined this forum in 2011 after my then recent encounters. My old login was not in the new (BFF 2.0) database so I had to re register, and the rest is the rest.

  2. I make no apology if my response to your solution wasn't well received. Continue to enjoy the General Forum free of charge... problem solved. You may not believe it, agree with it or understand it and as I see that you have not had a SSq experience. So in your request for a deeper explanation for a previous post I made (that was evidently unsatisfactory to you)...I go ahead and take the time to attempt to provide more and then you just post more about premium membership. You did take the time to provide more information, and I appreciate that. if my posting more about the Premium Access didn't measure up to any expected response you may have anticipated, I hope that you'll forgive the lack of any appropriate response on my part. No, I've not had an experience with the creature, but that doesn't mean I haven't investigated the creature and been in frequent contact with many investigators, many of them very prominent in the field. I'm sorry if I just don't take your word as fact. I have no way of knowing if you've actually seen and interacted with the creature or not. It's not that I don't believe you. I just have no way to know if your provided information is factual. Your statements contain no video, photo, or other evidence to consider. Sorry, but I just don't take everyone as an authority based on their word alone, nor should anyone else, IMO. Its a waste of my time as was my point in saying "thats all you have" So save the apologies for a time when you feel you were wrong and need to amend a caused harm, in this instance obviously that is not the case so it means very little to me. We just don't see things the same way is all. Sorry, friend - I'll post according to what I feel to be right for me whether you like it or not. If my apology meant so little to you and it's such a waste of your time, why don't you do as you said you'd do... or not do? Peace.

  3. I get that you're not willing to post your supposed information in a section that allows for frank and candid review and discussion. A phrase from Harry Truman, regarding heat and kitchens comes to mind.

  4. I understand why you may feel that way, but it's not that simple. We have to pay the forum's expenses somehow. Premium Membership Plans benefit every member of the BFF in that regard. That's the only way to keep the forum going without annoying ads, soliciting donations, or some generous member(s) providing the money from their own pockets. The other alternative is to let the forum go out of existence, and I don't think that anyone wants that to happen. Ads have been shown to frustrate forum users, thus driving down traffic which affects ad values. Although it's been claimed by many members that they'd gladly donate the needed funds, that's hard to budget because you don't know how much or even if members will donate at all, or if the gifted amounts will be sufficient for the needed funding. Expecting anyone to pay out of their pocket (as was done routinely before the implementation of the Premium Access Forum) is unreasonable, especially in this economy. So, allowing free access to the Premium Access Forum doesn't solve any problems. It causes hard choices such as those listed above. The General Forum is provided free to all members due to the appreciated support of our Premium Members. For only $20 dollars a year, it's a lot of bang for the buck. A Premium Membership Plan purchase helps to ensure that all of our members can enjoy the BFF for the foreseeable future. For that support, the BFF offers two forums (The Tar Pit and General Bigfoot/Sasquatch Discussion) as a place to allow our valued supporters to express themselves as they wish to a huge degree. This is a product we can offer to those wishing to help support the entire forum with their hard-earned money. In addition to those two forums, there's the BFF 1.0 Archives, The BFF Virtual Library (including the late, great Tirademan's Historical Archives), The Sightings Database Project, uncensored news feeds, and much more. I'd like to take a moment to thank our Premium Members and to encourage our regular members to consider joining them by purchasing a PMP. If you choose not to purchase a PMP, you may continue to enjoy the General Forum free of charge because of the generosity of our Premium Members. 5. I am new to this thread, and was quickly lead off to the darkets of BF places with JDL's reference to the Legend of Sacred Baby Mountain. Couple with the many reports I've read over the last year now--including the OP's--, there is no doubt BF is capable of great harm and malicious activity. On an individual basis, I have to throw my hat in the "foe" ring, though I wish it weren't so. On a species basis, I think they may very well be the one consideration that saves us, quite literally, from ourselves. I am just a chapter or two into the book, "The Heart of the Monster," which surprisingly enough has nothing to do with BF. As its subtitle reads, the book is about "Why the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies Must Not Become an ExxonMoile Conduit to the Alberta Tar Sands." Our country is completely run by corporations, and ExxonMobil is the worst of all. They want to use our natural highways (overland river corridors) to transport immense equipment (mindboggling dimensions that would bring all other road traffic to an immediate halt, while subjecting rivers to immense pollution threats should there be accidents) from South Korea to the tar lands, and who knows what extraction goods if it were to be allowed to happen. My point is simply that these 1,100 miles of mostly pristine river corridors are most certainly the same habitat BF has historically used to get from A to B. I think that if anyone is a BF "whisperer," they would be well served to ask one of our big friends to give themselves up willingly (heck, just stop at your nearest game cam--we got millions of them out there...) and pose for a cameo. Or twenty. Protecting BF's habitat is to protect ourselves from, well, ourselves. They might quite literally be the biggest friend we have in this world. I realize this is a bit OT from the OP's question, but I do think we have to look at the bigger picture when asking this question. As an individual, they can be friend or foe. But it's much, much deeper than that.
